How is there not a way to give a -10 review on this platform, because Load Laundry truly deserves it! After so much time has passed, LOAD is still claiming they are correct in BLAMING ME for delivering my laundry to the WRONG DOOR which resulted it in being stolen. Not only is it NOT LEGALLY my building's fault ( Or mine) since my agreement was with LOAD (not my building) to ensure my laundry was delivered to MY DOOR, not a door NEAR MINE OR A DOOR THAT LOOKED LIKE MINE. Customers DO NOT have to take my review to be true. My original review is still up and has screen shots of how they asked me change my review if they compensated me for THIER ERROR. All future prospective customers have to do is look at 99% of all of their other reviews to see how awful they are. Also, I never got a full refund for the cost of my belongings, I received a portion of what my belongings were valued at. Bottom line: If you value your clothes, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. Buyer beware, this place is unethical and will continue to bother you for months. To make certain they stop, I will contact the Better Business Bureau and report them. That should finally and hopefully put this issue to rest. Also, I use RINSE now and they are prompt, arrive when promised and have not lost a single item once and offer free bags if you don't reach their weight level. I requested their service for pick up and delivery to launder my mattress topper. It's about 20 lbs and bulging out of an ikea bag. Expecting a car of some sort to come pick it up, they sent a man in flip flops with no bag or container of any sorts. Just his bike. I turned him away and sent an email to cancel. Then they sent another man on a ebike with no no bag or container. I called this business to cancel and they confirmed without hesitating over the phone. Then someone started texting me, telling me that they use Doordash white glove service and kept pushing me to use them. I kept saying no and and requested the cancellation/refund they promised me. Now they charged me $70 for doing nothing. I will be making a similar review on the BBB. Please avoid this place. They just lie and they're very desperate for service. read more

I wanted to support Load Laundry as a small Local business, but my experience was disappointing. The first time I used their service, I had to call and inquire about the fees because they seemed a little high and I noticed that the new customer discount wasn't applied, so they made adjustments despite having used the code provided at checkout. I also tipped through my credit card when they arrived to deliver my laundry I told the person that I had tipped on my credit card only to be told by the delivery person that they don't receive those tips. That was a red flag, but I decided to give them one more chance. The second time, I tipped in cash to ensure the delivery person received it. However, my bed cover was returned still wet, and I was charged twice for sorting clothes. This didn't make sense since I only sent dark clothes and the bed cover I paid 20$ for separately. When I contacted Load Laundry, they said, "I'm not sure how that happened since it was dry last night. We can pick it up and dry it." They also insisted on their fee for sorting laundry, despite there being nothing to sort. I explained I had to work and couldn't accommodate another pick-up and drop-off. This is a dishonest business and they did nothing but lie and BS. I won't be using their service again, which is unfortunate because I genuinely wanted to support a small business in my community. PS. The first time I did laundry with them it did not come back smelling fresh and clean the second time. I send my own freshener and they use over half the bottle which I couldn't understand why don't use them not worth it. Better options better prices. read more

I've worked with them a bunch times and each time has been a good experience. Brought in a brand new mesh laundry tote here and unfortunately they returned it ripped..I'll give the benefit of the doubt because it's rather delicate and they run a busy business but :/ In their terms there is no obligation or liability for them to reimburse for damages to hampers, etc. Another time my laundry got mixed up with a regulars so had to wait until the evening to get it switched out. Sucks there wasn't a coupon or anything given after. Pretty affordable drop-off service @ about $1.60/lb! Not too bad. They're pretty good about getting your stuff in on time, but if you're in need of a rush order that's gonna cost you $5 extra! $3.50 for a separation too. Something nice is every so often they do special deals on Wednesday if you have the app. You can schedule for service any day just make the order on Wednesday with the code they drop. Friendly staff here who've always been amicable to me, especially Liz. She makes the brief weekly experience so pleasant. :) read more

I will never go back. I used load for a couple of time and appreciate their service. Things were nicely cleaned and folded. Like usual I handed them a bag of colored and another bag of whites. The outcomes was terrible. My white bathrobe became grey, white towels were blackened and pillow covers were stained. Also my colored clothes were super wrinkly. I had to end up throwing my bathrobe away because it was just unrecoverable. I will have to rewash what it used to be white towels and pillow cover to see if the stains go away. read more

My normal laundromat closed during COVID-19, so I was scrambling to find an alternative. I normally do the wash myself and have always been nervous to have someone else do it for me, but I decided to give Load Laundromat a try after hearing and reading good things. I'm so glad I did! I've sent a few loads to them and have been extremely pleased with the results. They're efficient, communicative and reasonably priced. The pick-up/delivery guys are always extremely friendly. Extremely bad experience. They dropped off my laundry unannounced 2 hours before my drop off window and it was left in front of my house and everything was stolen. This was over 50 pounds of all my clothes, towels, sheets, everything. (2 Large laundry bags). They denied it for a couple days and acted like it was no big deal. I kept asking "Where is my laundry?" I was going away on a trip and needed to pack. They told me they couldn't locate the driver and needed 24 hours. I asked my landlord to check the video cameras in front of our building and sure enough they dropped it over 2 hours before my drop-off time and 3 hours before a text notification that said they were on their way. Then I saw the footage of 3 men stealing it from in front of my building while I had no idea it was there. It was an extremely unfortunate experience. They finally apologized to me after 3 days of me calling trying to figure out what happened, but honestly there is no excuse. I paid for a service, and I got robbed of all my belongings. It's not fair and it's not good business. I filed a police report. read more

I've had positive experiences until now, but my current drop-off was returned with at least three large items missing (two shirts, one pants). So far the store has responded by saying they will "check the cameras" and refused to check other laundry bags of clothes that were handled at the same time as mine. I don't see how "checking the cameras" gets my clothes back and the staff has been hostile to my request to do more. If they turn it around I will update this review but thought people should be advised right away to be careful and consider using another facility for drop-off service. UPDATE: they located and returned my missing clothes (plus a shirt I didn't realize was missing), but the person on duty had no explanation of what had happened. Load Laundromat is the best pick up and drop off service I've had in East Village. The app and website makes it super easy to schedule pickups and drop offs even with custom services. They are always on time within the window and the service is very reliable. The quality of the wash and the fold is very good. They use high quality detergents on request. The pricing is very clear and posted on their website. If you have any problems or questions or special requests, they are very responsive to text messages too. You get billed to your credit card that you set up online and it also makes it super easy to tip on there as well. This is a breath of fresh air as my normal laundromat is unfortunately closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. I wish I had found them earlier as I would've been using Load Laundromat had I known it would be so easy. Highly recommend! read more

Their prices are extremely reasonable and the turnaround is amazingly fast. While they usually qoute 24 hour turnaround, they almost always are able to get my clothes back to me the same day. If I could give a ZERO STAR I would. I do not recommend this place to anybody. They messed up 10 of my shirts, all with discolored stains. Mixed experience. Been using the service a few months. The actual laundry has been fine, that's why it gets 2 stars. But they have missed the window I've requested (already a 2 hour window) several times already. On the last occasion it was for a drop off, and they didn't deliver within the two hours so I emailed, they ignored it and I emailed 3 more times which they ignored. I would have just left my apartment but I needed to bring something from that delivery with me. Finally the delivery turned up 4 hours late (without warning) and they responded to my email saying that the car had broken down. I'm not sure why that prevented them from telling me? Or responding to any of my emails? And when I said so they said I could have $7 off my next order. Pretty poor customer service. App is easy to use and laundry comes back fine, so use if you don't necessarily need timeliness on deliveries or pickups. read more

I prefer to do my own laundry, and their self-service machines are great! The woman who was working was super nice and helpful. She was patient with explaining all their payment options and how their machines worked. They have three sizes of machines for when you have different amounts of laundry to be washed. They range from around $3-8 I believe, and the dryers cost $0.25 per 6 minutes. Loved this place, such a great experience! read more

I offered to drop it off and was told it would not be ready until 11am next day. I was so disappointed as I have to be at the airport by 12 and was trying to get my daughters bedding washed before move in. I do not recommend this for pick up and delivery. I have used them 3 times now and they have not been on time at all. The final straw was today. My delivery window was 9am-11am. I finally got my laundry at 2:30pm by a VERY rude man. I had to cancel an appointment because I am at home waiting for my delivery. Calls to the location did nothing including being told they would look into it and call me back only to NOT call me back. You should not expect your customers to wait for 5 1/2 hours for a delivery. I've used so many different laundry services and this place is by far the best! They offer a service wherein they pick up your laundry from your home and drop it back. Not only that, you can guarantee that your clothes will be clean. I had an experience from another laundromat that when I got my clothes back, ugh they weren't that clean at all. Seems like they weren't separating the laundry with the appropriate color. Had to stop getting service from them. Then load laundromat opened up and I decided to try them and that's it, they're the right place I've been looking for. The employees for load laundromat is also very friendly and professional. Wow! I've never done drop off before and was a little hesitant at first, because who wants strangers touching your clothing. This establishment has changed my mind forever! Their store front and inside is a cute refreshing blue and really makes you excited to enter, great branding. EXTREMELY CLEAN AND SMELLS PLEASANT. There is a lovely woman working there (or at least this morning) who greets you and takes your order. She makes sure everything is correct before you leave and even gives an accurate time that the job will be completed. You will receive a text message when it's time for pickup. The place is a little pricey, maybe a couple cents over what you're used to but it's worth it. I came back to my clothes folded neatly and very clean. Everything smelt great and there were no complaints at all! I highly recommend this place and will be returning. read more

I really wanted to like Load, but after 3 strikes, I have to go somewhere else. A lost sock or 2, on occasion, wasn't a huge deal, but then I left a pair of earrings in a pocket and never got them back. The last straw was getting a shirt back with a sticky security tag on it, and the shirt was ruined when I took it off. (The tag wasn't from anything I sent to be laundered, either) They pretty consistently miss the delivery window; I've had stuff come the next day more than once. I've called to inquire about these issues, but never get a call back. read more
