I'm not upset that there are security measures in place to protect their employees. I'm upset that they cancelled less than an hour prior to my appointment for a reason that should have been obvious when I booked it, and now they are lying to try to keep me from getting a refund. Beware of this business! They are not professional, and they are not honest.

I called ahead to see the wait (little to no wait). I did a walk in and was greeted right away in a friendly manner. They were finishing up one pedi and told me the wait was 10 minutes which was perfectly fine. They asked what services and nail designs I wanted, I showed them a picture. They were very clear and kind in letting me know what each aspect of the design consisted of and how much each design costed upfront so I could get a sense of cost (the design consisted of french tips, chrome, gems, blooming gel, fill and some reshape). Larissa was my nail tech and she came out and introduced herself and looked at the nail design and talked to me about my previous nail experience, and we looked at the gem options together and talked about reshaping. My nails before were more of a rounded square shape, and the nude powder color was sort of uneven from previous artists using different color powders. She was really patient and meticulous with filing down a lot of previous powder before going with the new nude that I chose so that the color would be even. She added more acrylic around the corners of my nails to build out the sharp square shape. she made sure to check in with me throughout the service to ensure I liked the shaping, the french designs, the blooming etc. I never felt rushed as Larissa really took her time to make sure I liked everything. In total after the 10% discount, my services came out to $89 before tip which I think is very reasonable given all the different things I wanted. I would absolutely come back even though this place is 12 miles from me. (Oh and they play great music!)

I must say I'm genuinely so disappointed in how awful their quality of service has gotten. I got my nails manicured by the owner. I'm not sure her name, but I know her face. Very beautiful tiny woman. I asked for a simple French tip manicure. They looked wonderful, from afar. I was weary because she was rushing through my service. My nails would cure for seconds before she had me pulling my hand out to continue. The tips looked fine but later upon reflection, they were uneven and a little lopsided. This is all something I would be ok with and I'd simply let go and move on, not really nitpicking the quality BUT, like the next week they started peeling and lifting and chipping. It's been maybe 2-3 weeks at this point and I have like a total of 3 frenchies and a half left on my hands! Girls, if you can, just go home based. Or any other salon. My manicures have lasted months and grow out when I go to my home based girl. I once loved Kikais but yeah their quality is terrible now, I don't recommend it if you want a pretty manicure to last.

The shop itself is a decent size with lots of eclectic little items for sale. There was a variety knickknacks and beauty odds and ends. The staff is very soft spoken and polite and the service is fast. Both times I came in there was a pretty steady flow of customers. The consistent foot traffic speaks to how consistent their work is. I got my brows threaded and did henna and so do my sis and we are both really pleases with the results. The price was super reasonable as well. About $45 total for both of us. We'll definitely be back!
