I've been a Kikai's customer a long time. Since I had been in high school, nearly ten years ago. I took a long break from them because I found a home based nail girl to do my nails, but she's recently gone on maternity leave. So I came to Kikais, an old reliable friend. I must say I'm genuinely so disappointed in how awful their quality of service has gotten. I got my nails manicured by the owner. I'm not sure her name, but I know her face. Very beautiful tiny woman. I asked for a simple French tip manicure. They looked wonderful, from afar. I was weary because she was rushing through my service. My nails would cure for seconds before she had me pulling my hand out to continue. The tips looked fine but later upon reflection, they were uneven and a little lopsided. This is all something I would be ok with and I'd simply let go and move on, not really nitpicking the quality BUT, like the next week they started peeling and lifting and chipping. It's been maybe 2-3 weeks at this point and I have like a total of 3 frenchies and a half left on my hands! Girls, if you can, just go home based. Or any other salon. My manicures have lasted months and grow out when I go to my home based girl. I once loved Kikais but yeah their quality is terrible now, I don't recommend it if you want a pretty manicure to last. read more

Brianna was great with my regular pedi and gel chrome mani. My sister got cat-eye gel mani and pedi, I didn't get her technician's name. After getting back home (10min drive away), I noticed my left index finger was already chipped! I opt for gel manicures since I'm rough with my hands, wash them frequently, and gel usually doesn't chip. Maybe gel chrome is different? I'm pretty sad about it but they have all these signs saying chipped nails are on the customer once they leave the shop. For all the signs, we probably won't be back. read more

Went to go get my acrylic nails taken off, they didn't have how much it would cost on their little paper so when she said it was going to cost 30 I thought she was kind of saying that because it's slow. I got medium length acrylic nails with gel Polish. They were $90!! I still have no idea why or how. I asked why so much and she said the length and gel polish. So $20 extra for any thing other than short nails and $20 extra for gel polish huh... yea. They're overpriced and not that good. My nails are super thick and bulky. I asked for a green V French tip and left with nude polish and no French tip lol. I thought she was picking a base for the French but she totally forgot what i asked for lol. I came in on 6/22/2020 with my sister... and as soon as we walked in I wasn't greeted but had to greet the front desk to be helped. When I said we'd like to get our nails done he replied so Rudely and Mean "what do you want?!". I said excuse me and he yelled the second time "what do you want!" as if he was irritated or annoyed! At that point I was ready to turn around and head out the door but we ended up staying because I was visiting my sister in Vegas and wanted to treat her to a girls day as this was the day after Father's day and we just lost our father. The entire time we were there we experienced poor customer service! As a business owner myself, who has a beauty salon in Los Angeles, I was highly disturbed by the poor customer service we received with a very hostile Environment. I couldn't wait to get out of there but I kept quite as again this was suppose to be quality time with my sister. I am truly unhappy as I spent $145.00 for be treated so poorly! I liked this place when I first went because of Amy, but overall, I'm not coming back here anymore. I gave this place another chance and the owner is just always rude. I requested Amy and he told me to just sit down. If I ask for a certain color, he tells me to just look for it. I paid for a $65 pedicure and it was honestly awful. Left all my ingrowns in and I had to get another pedicure ASAP afterwards because the girl I was with didn't even try. The shop itself isn't the prettiest and it doesn't look very clean at all to me. I don't usually post reviews and I've been to this place multiple times, but I've never had them done by Brianna. I didn't really closely examine the nails until I got to my car and that's when I noticed how bad they looked. The gel polish was soooo lumpy and really messed up the almond shape of the nails. They look like bullet bills from super mario The thumb is especially messed up which I had asked to be fixed during shaping, since I noticed it was crooked. It ended up looking worse after the polish was added. Really disappointed and spent $65 on this set. The results from my last couple visits from other techs haven't really been great either. If this review was for the women only it would probably be a 4, they were courteous and they do nice work. My issue is the owner "Larry" he seems to be to big for his britches. Before we got started with the nails, I told him I also needed my eyebrows done. No problem. Got the nails done and no one was mentioning the wax so I told him asked him and he had forgotten and the waxer girl had just Started another woman's nails. I said hmm no eyebrows for me , to which he said nothing , I then said I guess I'll have to go somewhere else and he just shrugged. He had no care. The waxer girl got someone to take over for her so she could do it. In the end I got what I needed, my friend said hey shes a yelper and he said yea so is everyone. Let me start off by saying that we asked if they could take us even though it was close to closing and they said yes. We arrived at 5 pm for two pedicures and we know they close at 6 pm. (We didn't make an appointment based off of other reviews saying they don't honor appointments. I'm only writing this review because they said they could do two pedicures. If they didn't have the capacity to take us they should've said so and we would've gone elsewhere. I called last minute and was able to get an appointment for four pedicures since it was when they first opened. Everyone did a great job. My 80 y/o mother was treated gingerly, my niece was getting her first pedicure and everything was explained step-by-step, my sister loved chatting up her tech, Leah, and Maria, my tech, was just awesome. Loved the massage chairs, loved the hot stone massage at the end, especially loved the manicure Maria did accommodating my jacked up nail that broke nearly to the quick. I did not receive any service at all, because they had left me sitting in a massage chair that was no longer working, and my feet were left soaking in cold water for 23 minutes. The amount of time they had me wait proved that they did not care for their customers. The prices varied, but they did seem reasonable. For a pedicure with regular nail polish it was 30 dollars, and for the french tip it was 35 dollars. At any salon, the pedicures will range from 25 dollars to 45 dollars. The prices here were in the medium price range, however it does include the foot massage, feet exfoliation, and cutting the cuticles. The payment method is either cash or card, but they do charge an additional fee if the client uses a card. I did not get attended, but my mom ended up paying full price, which was 35 dollars for a job that was not well done. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. The service was mediocre but my nail tech truly did an amazing job with my nails. Here's my experience. This place is about 10 minutes from home so I figured I'd stop in since I didn't want to drive to Summerlin where I usually go. Now I had called in to ask if there was time for a walk in for a new set or gel fill. First, the person who answered said no, but called me back about 2 minutes after hanging up to let me know they had time for my walk in, to stop by in about 15-20 minutes, so I did. Place seemed clean, small though. The guy at the front, I'm assuming he's the owner, told me to pick out my color & when I did I sat at the front, about 5 minutes later he tells me to have a seat at one of the chairs & says the tech will be with me shortly, that she was just having a short break. I probably waited about 20 minutes until another tech asked me to have a seat at her chair & she'd be doing my nails. Bee did a great job with my nails but her customer service could be better as she made it very apparent that she was annoyed with my requests to file my nails shorter. She also mentioned the tech that was supposed to do my nails originally didn't even know I was at her chair that's why Bee decided to take me as her client instead. Naturally, I was annoyed at the lack of communication. I was really happy with how my nails looked in the end but I did spend 2 hours in the salon which I wasn't happy about, given I only got a gel fill & a nude color, no designs. My nails were pretty messed up when I went in but idk that it should've taken that long. My fill was $45 which is normally what I pay for a gel full set. I made an appointment two days earlier to come in at 3:00 p.m. but when we got to the establishment it took longer than that even though we made an appointment for someone to check as in. We were greeted by what looked like to be the owner but he was kind of rude and kept telling us "check the price they're brand new let me know if you have any questions" So after 30 minutes of waiting, My mom, my sister and I were finally checked in to get our manicure and pedicures done.
