To say our pictures exceeded our expectations would be a gross understatement. They were amazing - breathtaking and beautiful, classy and inventive. The special effects he did to some of the shots were fantastic and unlike anything I've seen from other wedding photographers. He was so easy to work with from the beginning, planning stages through the delivery of our album and picture cd and everything in between. Countless friends and family have complimented us on his work, many commenting they wish THEY had used him for their wedding. You can tell from his work that he is more than a photographer, he is an artist. We took many fun pictures around the city - the lakefront, el stops, Wrigley, our favorite neighborhood bar, and they all turned out so well. I never felt "posed" and the way he used the landscape and architecture of the locations to frame out the pictures and tell our story was great. Brett photographed my wedding and he was so good to work with, I can never say enough good things…read moreabout him! I had had my heart set on another photographer for my wedding but I was getting the run around as far as if they were available or not when I went to a bridal fair and came across the booth Brett had set up there. My now husband and I spoke to him and looked through some of his work and we pretty quickly decided to book him. The thing that appealed to us the most is that he does things outside of the typical wedding pictures - the wedding packages include a beautiful hardcover book in which your photos are showcased on linen pages. The bride and groom get to select the pictures for this book and then Brett adds some of his own choosing. He can put the pictures on 3D photographic paper, which really shows the color and texture of the picture beyond just a normal print. During the reception, he takes the bride and groom outside for a sunset photo shoot and then does another one with backlighting after dark; seriously, what photographer usually stays at the reception after the bouquet and garter toss?! Beyond the fact that Brett thinks outside the box, he is also incredibly agreeable and easy to work with; the day really is all about you and your wedding, he wants you to set the tone and he will do pretty much whatever you ask. His wife works as his assistant and his daughter is his second photographer. Any picture Brett is taking, his daughter is taking from another angle, so it really is as if every moment is captured. On our wedding day, Brett's daughter stayed with me and my bridesmaids to photograph us while we got ready and Brett was with the groom and groomsmen, taking pictures of them getting ready. (I also found out later that Brett and his family had paid a visit to the chapel in which we were married and to our reception venue in the couple of weeks prior to our wedding so he could get ideas and prepare for the day.) Back to the wedding day, they shot pictures continously from the time they showed up at noon until they left the reception at 10pm! My husband and I recently got our proofs back and the sheer number of them shows how dedicated they both were to documenting our wedding day. Brett called me to make sure that I had gotten to look at the pictures and he was so animated, telling me how he loves to put the books together and really tell the story of the wedding day through the pictures. He mentioned specific pictures that were his favorites and also pointed out some details in a few that we hadn't noticed yet. His dedication and passion for his work really comes through when you talk to him, he's a great guy and talented photographer. I hope to be able to use him for other pictures in the future and I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

Steve and Bea were wonderful to work with throughout the whole process. Prior to the wedding, Steve was always accessible via phone or email and was very prompt to respond to emails and answer all of our questions. Even the day before the wedding, Bea called to reconfirm the locations and times for filming on the day of the wedding which was really great and a nice personal touch to put our minds at ease during such a hectic time. On the day of our wedding, they arrived on time and did an awesome job of capturing all the right moments while remaining unnoticeable in the background (which we really appreciated as we are not used to being recorded). They captured personal interviews and well wishes from our friends and family which was a heartwarming surprise when we watched our video. The full video was provided on time and we were extremely happy with how everything turned out. We also received a highlight video as part of our package which captured the best parts of the day. This also turned out fantastic and was great to share with our family and friends without having them watch the full video. We can't thank Steve and Bea enough for capturing our wedding day and providing such a high quality video that we will be able to enjoy and share for years to come. He was very easy to talk to and very responsive to any questions and delivered the final product in a timely manner and as promised (about 2 months after the wedding). If you have any doubts about a videographer, hire Sureshot and you will not be disappointed! There are a variety of different packages and all of the important parts from the ceremony and reception were captured beautifully. We watched our wedding video (~2 hours) and our 5-minute highlight real video and to say it is a work of art is an understatement. The videos are provided with a cute photo on the front with our names and the date of our wedding like a real movie. There are very cool drone shots of the venue for the beginning and end of the videos which were so cool to see the venue from that angle. The sound and cameras were not in the way of the big day as we could barely tell they were there. We also got the raw footage on a USB file for a small additional charge, which was a great offering to have to be able to see outtakes and catch some conversations. The sound on the final video is perfect and the picture is so clear it looks like an actual movie. If you have any doubts about a videographer, hire Sureshot and you will not be disappointed!
