This place is not the most glamorous. And could be a little cleaner In a sense with dust . However kitty and Kim do amazing jobs. I've been going there for 10 years. I don't trust anyone else with my pedicures. Ive never had a single problem with my nails. People have said Kitty is rude. I return here again and again and will never go anywhere else if I can help it. Every time I go they completely remove all of the dead skin build up around the sides of my nails that gets trapped under the nail, esp the big toe, after they cut my cuticles. It is such a relief to have absolutely clean nails. I can't seem to do this myself without gauging or hurting myself and no other nail studio has ever done this kind of deep nail cleaning and I have been to many. This is why I call K & K the nail buddhas. I only go for mani and pedis but they have other services too. read more

Sadly, this place has gone way downhill. My last visit was not a great experience. The salon was empty, but I got a rushed pedicure with a terrible polish application that had to be redone. My cuticles were smeared with polish. They did a better job on my daughters toes, but charged me $22 for a child's pedicure - pretty steep! The place smelled awful too - yuck! read more

My feet are finally callous free after years of having them shaved by my former manicurist. I happen to love Kitty's dry humor and Kim is a dear woman. Since they are the owners I find that they go out of their way to run a professional business. I have never gotten a nail fungus so the claims that this place is dirty just doesn't resonate with me. This place is by far the best nail place I have ever gone to for acrylic, medi/pedi. They are very inexpensive compared to other salons and their polish will stay on for as long as it takes for me to go back. They remember what you like and they aim to please. Aside from that they are very honest and never try to talk you into anything or charge you more. They have such a long list of clients that you are best to make an appointment. Don't listen to the nonsense about people having issues with how they only cater to people who tip well. Everyone tips what they want no matter where you go and this place isn't any different. This unsightly place at Tam Junction is noisy with Highway 1 traffic just outside the door, not kept clean, and gives poor service. The last visit they were beyond rude, reusing things off the floor and ignoring my request to stop prodding a very sore nail bed. Treat yourself to something nicer. read more

Since K&K nail has moved to Mill Valley the whole Aura has changed I visited Kitty and the other lady at the old nail salon in Marin City but now things have really changed. They are very expensive, they don't do great work but they will cater to those who they think will tip. funny thing is I tip very well I have the money to pay for what I want done which is a gel mani and my eyebrows to be waxed but I walked in they had one person getting a pedicure both ladies were working on that one person and told me that they were very very busy and could not take me and that they were so sorry. they didn't offer to maybe schedule for later or tomorrow they just said sorry we're so busy we can take you. And that was it so a bunch of racist people in Marin County that's a surprise don't go here horrible work horrible service racist and judgmental. This was my last resort now I have to wait to go to the city tomorrow. Darn it read more

You get a very thorough and relaxing manicure and pedicure here for a great price. The staff are friendly and take real pride in their work; they take the time to do an excellent job. You can drop by and they do their best to fit you in. Kym is also amazing with waxing - no pain and very careful. read more

I've been a customer o Kitty & Kimberly for about 10 years now! K&K is the only place I will go. Kitty does an amazing pink & white gel manicure ( mine stay fresh looking for 2 whole weeks at least). You can always count on Kimberly for a fabulous & perfect pedicure + plus precision perfect eyebrow waxes! They take great pride in the salon and it is always clean and decorated according to the season. I always call ahead and they can even sometimes squeeze me in last minute. They keep to their appointment schedule and there is no waiting if you have an appoitment which is really important to me. I highly reccomend this salon. I have only been a customer for about a couple of months. I work in San Rafael and live in Mill Valley. My favorite nail lady sold her business in San Rafael and went looking for a new place. Since I live real close I wanted to try K&K Nails. It was good. They are very nice and do good work so of. They are a little inconsistent. But that is ok. They are more expensive than I am used to but that is ok. Yesterday I had an appt. I always make appt's because I am a busy person especially this week. I get there and the place is closed. Look at my phone and there is a message apologizing - she had to do something in the city. Now I drive by there everyday...some mondays they are closed. I know that I probably was the only appt and they didn't want to wait. They called me less than 45 min before my appt. Now what do I do...family coming in Thursday am and my nails look like crap!!! I can't get them fixed until Saturday but now I have to find a new place. read more

This is the worst nail place I have ever been. The saddest part is the women used to do a decent job however their customer service skills are non-existent! They speak a foreign language in front of you the whole time, they make appointments with you and then flake or make you wait for sometimes half an hour while they take walk-ins! When they make a mistake like scheduling you and then not showing up they lie and say it was the customers fault or mistake. They accept no responsibility for their mistakes and continues to treat their long term, good tipping clients like they are not important! I would never return to this place for their services if they paid me to come! The many friends and family that I once referred also felt poorly treated and that kitty and Kim were rude to them as new customers. Take my advice and spend your money somewhere where your values as a customer new or old! This place is a shit hole along with the women who work there! read more
