I never would have found this place if it weren't for my cousin who frequents this spot for the adobo flakes!
I asked my cousin to describe this spot and she said that it's "Filipino comfort food". Perhaps that's what's needed in the Baguio area because it's cold as heck out there. This spot has pasta, sandwiches and rice dishes. There are a few salads as well.
I ordered the pasta Alfredo with mushrooms and bacon. I did not eat the bacon, but I did devour the rest. There's something about Alfredo sauce in the Philippines! It really is "comfort food" for me because my uncle used to make me a carbonara pasta when I visited Manila as a child. It was really similar to my Uncle's recipe so it really brought me back. I also had the strawberry calamansi drink! I have never had this combination before, but I think I like it! I'm going to have to try to make this when I go home.
My husband had the fish and chips, but it wasn't like the traditional British form. His dish came out with a fried fish, rice, and a couple of actual chips (not French fries). So if you're expecting fish and chips, you'll be disappointed. This is the Pinoy version of fish and chips.
Either way, I thought the food here was delicious! It's a super cute spot with an upstairs that has AC! It's comfortable, clean, and the service was really good. They also have a clean comfort room upstairs. read more
