Ok, let's get this straight. I did not ask for basic service. Your wrong. I told the lady to make my toes pretty and to take off the dead skin. I know it costs extra. I had her before. Why would I want my toes to look like crap and have dead skin on my feet??? Customers go there to be pampered. Seems like you can't admit when you're wrong and won't apologize for the service? Seems like you need to learn the Golden Rule when it comes to your clients? Not blame the customers for your wrong doing?? So sad. I had my first visit with this place today and, although the manicure and pedicure I received were fine, I won't be returning. While waiting, I witnessed who seemed to be a managing person shove the nail tech that was working with me, in front of everyone. I'm an HR professional and this constitutes as workplace violence and a hostile working environment. This behavior is against the law. I hope these employees know they have the right to a workplace free of violence or any bullying behavior, no matter what kind of job they have. Perhaps they may consider going to the Department of Labor. I will add that everyone was very nice and did a great job. It was just very disheartening to see that happen to an employee. I work in employment law and shoving is not acceptable practice in a work environment. No matter if a business is nice, no one should be shoving each other in the workplace. read more

I had a two hour break in between lunch and dinner for my job. I took a chance and ran to Lisa's stylish nails. I was a walk in customer as I got in there. They kept ask me if I need a manicure and I said I didn't think I had time to get a manicure. Well, I got a Manicure Pedicure eyebrows and lip done all in a matter of one hour. First time coming here and absolutely wonderful. Walked in to all hellos and smiling faces. I went on a Monday at 2pm and no one was in there. If people expect good nails go during an off time. They know all the newest designs and have great ideas when your looking for a nice design. If the salon had newer colors their work would be even better. I won't be coming here ever again. The young lady that did my pedicure was awesome. She asked me if I wanted to sit and relax in the massage chair when she finished. That was great since I didn't get to soak my feet as my pedicure started right away. I was relaxing in the chair when another person that worked there asked me to get up and move to another area. There was another chair already open so someone else could have gotten theirs done without me moving. I paid, tipped the lady that did my feet, and will never return here again. I made a reservation here for 6 pm on a Friday- I'll start by saying just don't come here on a Friday. It was packed out with so many other clientele waiting. They did honor my reservation though as the rest were walk-ins, but it was frantic and there was still a good amount of hassle just to get seated. The manicure itself came out alright, but the nail technician cut my cuticles too low in two separate areas, and not to be a wimp about it- it was a little bleedy, and absolutely painful. Very nice place, but not the best. I do not know the name of my stylist but she did pretty good. Although, she kept hurting my fingers when she kept pushing my finger back down every time it moved and pushing the cuticle back under the nail. It was good at first, but every time she drilled my nails it got even bumpier and bumpier. It is smoother now but it is still not the best. She also took some skin off it looks like under my nail, so when she applied the clear solution it burned horribly. read more

I just bought a house so I'm new to Danbury. I looked for top nail salons in the area and I found this place. Amy worked on my nails and she did such an amazing job. It came out so pretty. Thank goodness for her and the man (I think he's the boss?). I tried asking for longer nails with the first female and instead of just giving me longer nails, she replies with "longer nails break easier" as if I was asking 1. Asking her and 2. I've always had longer nails. She also mumbled something negative about long nails. Nonetheless, I had them taken off and that's where the man and then Amy stepped in. I also gave them four stars because I was offered an appt in two weeks, I had to read reviews about their membership rewards which I would've gladly gotten, and while I left only one person shouted happy new year to me while the employees shouted it out to the other customers that left. I've been in horrible nail salons but even with my complaints this salon was great. They fixed the problem and that's all that matters. Got a full set here and a good spa pedicure. Employees were beyond nice and made me feel so comfortable. My issue is that in the middle of doing my nails the tech got up to work on someone else and told me "she will finish". I asked the first tech for ballerina or tapered nail shape. I showed him a picture. But after he got up and the new girl sat down I didn't hear them communicate with each other so I don't think he told her what was going on or where he was in the process. My end result is nails that are completely square and more chunky. The actual nail is very thick and don't get me started on the polish. Not to mention the price. $5 for each nail design. My design was one line. If I knew it was that price I would have done it myself at home. I also noticed that they didn't do much cuticle work which is crazy. I hope my nails don't lift. Lastly, I asked for gel extensions and he still gave me some dip powder which is acrylic. The spa pedicure was relaxing and nice but the polish and nail shape is horrific. One nail is completely messed up. They still get three stars bc I value curtesy. They were incredibly nice and everyone that walked in was greeted. That said, I won't return. read more

Do not go here. She cut the side of my finger deep with the cuticle cutter. She had me file my own now because she cut my nails prior to taking off the dip powder. The dip powder she put on is bulky on my nails and she cut my nails uneven. She started to become aggressive when I want her to fix it. read more

Extremely disappointed considering all the high reviews here. Walking in, I was very confused by the setup. Another customer walked in who I assume is a regular because they automatically knew what she needed. I didn't get asked anything. I'm literally standing there wondering who the heck I need to speak to. It was super hot in there and after a few moments of looking like an idiot I decided to leave. My review is based on when I visited about a month ago. I called and asked if I could come get a mani/pedi and was told to come now because they were not busy. When I got there one woman started working on me and immediately was up selling the services so I treated myself to their spa pedicure. Not even 5 minutes in the chair when the door opens and a woman walked in I was dissed. The woman doing my pedi said she had an appointment and left me there. They pawned me off on the Latino woman working there. She was very nice and did a decent job but I felt some kind of way; like a bait and switch or con was pulled on me. Why start working on me when you KNOW you have an appointment at that time . When I am in town and need some pampering I will be going elsewhere. I love this place! I can't believe I just started coming here! I was prompted to come here after 2 bad experiences with Bella Nails. I adore the staff here they are extremely personable, can hold a conversation, and remember you. The color selection is phenomenal as well as the pedicure selections. They have a great rewards system that makes it worthwhile to join and keep coming back. They have dedicated parking spots which is also nice and they are located in a great plaza near food, liquor, barbershops, cvs,etc. They also have a wide variety of stickers and jewels and other cool nail art that many salons in the area are lacking.
