They got all of our family photos and checked back with us at the end of the night to make sure they captured all of our photos. They've been to so many weddings and helped us with planning on where to go for our wedding day photos. Even if we knew where to go, we had no idea some of the spots in that area were terrific for a photoshoot. It also helps that they're so organized! All of our photos have come in on time. I've heard horrific stories about people not getting their photos until 6 months later or getting sued by their photographers. Due to Covid, we had to reschedule our wedding and had to find a new photographer. A friend recommended working with Dawn and the rest was history. Dawn walked us through what the new schedule would look like, what photos we wanted, and understood how we wanted photos to look. We wanted a more natural, "candid" picture. She was able to adapt to our individual needs. Even before the event, she was extremely helpful, welcoming and addressed our questions in a timely fashion. She also asked questions that helped her understand the unique situation she was asked to take photos for (small wedding, personal premise). When it came to the wedding, Dawn was fantastic. She immediately started scouting for an additional photo spots to ensure she would get the best view point. This was no small feat, she walked a good distance to the tree line and into a small forest. She really wanted to maximize her working area. The photos of the prep time, ceremony, dancing and speeches captured the magic of the evening. Her photos really speak for her craft. To close and probably the most important reason why we're giving Dawn a sparkling review (outside of the photos of course) is that she truly was a pleasure to work with before and during the event. The stress of changing and planning a wedding three times in a year was overwhelming. Dawn was able to fix one of our problems and became an asset to the team. Dawn was our wedding photographer, and she also did our engagement shoot. We had met with two other photographers, who were great in their own right, but we immediately "clicked" with Dawn. Her personality put us completely at ease, and her photography style was exactly what we had in mind. Initially I didn't even want to do an engagement photo session. I'm not at all photogenic (believe me, that's not false modesty, but a fact) and I'm not very comfortable posing and having my picture taken. My then-fiance convinced me that having an engagement shoot would be good practice for taking the wedding photos, and would give us an opportunity for Dawn to get to know us better and vice versa, thereby resulting in better photos. As usual, he was 100% correct. We wanted our engagement photos to not be too "staged," so we chose to shoot around our neighborhood, where's there's unusual backdrops and lots of natural settings. At best, I was hoping for a few photos that I could "live with," but they all turned out beautiful. I was blown away. Fast forward to our wedding, and again, Dawn nailed it. Where do I start…read more From the day we emailed a quote request to the moment he left us at the reception our interactions with Tim (and Bethany) were all positive. We first met Tim at a neighborhood Starbucks to get a good look at his work from start to finish. He was able to provide weddings in full and not just some of his top shots. This provided me with the confidence I needed to book him. We drove home from the meeting and we're like giddy kids that had just met a new best friend. We went ahead a day or so later and signed the contract via email. Needless to say, we were extremely satisfied with the level of professionalism we received from Tim through all of our communications. Moving on to the ceremony and reception. Tim and Bethany arrived to our contract locations on time and once they got to work, you barely even noticed they were there. But looking through my pictures, I was so happy with all the little details they caught in my home, my hotel room and during the ceremony and reception. I was in tears (of happiness) at how special they made my wedding day simply by capturing some of the silly, fun and sweet things that happened that day. I have to mention this, and I hope she'll laugh...At one point before the reception, Bethany even hooked me up with some of HER bobby-pins and post ceremony, helped scrub a small mud stain or two out of my dress. Bethany-- you should think about being a day of coordinator--you were so much better than mine! lol I kid you not, my entire family and friends are still talking about how sweet and nice Tim and Bethany were. Tim and Bethany are a dream come true and truly some of the best people we have ever worked with…read more Starting with our engagement photos, Tim worked with us to find the perfect locations and made sure we were completely comfortable for the first session. We didn't know what to expect going in, but it was such a fun day and the pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous! He seriously thinks of everything and takes some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. He captured our happiness and excitement perfectly at the time of our engagement. Organizing and planning for the wedding day with Tim was also extremely easy, he is super responsive and easy to work with! Also, aside from amazing photos, early in our planning process he gave us some vendor recommendations - many of which we ended up also working with who were equally as amazing. For the main event, our wedding, Tim and Bethany truly went above and beyond. We were working with a tight timeline which included a first look with the groom, my dad, and my bridesmaids as well as two different getting ready locations, and a large wedding party. None of this phased them at all - our timeline was managed perfectly while still getting all the photos we wanted. They also helped us pick the perfect locations for our photos - the Ambassador balcony for our first look and a park for additional pictures that allowed us to be by the lake/city, and still close enough to the ceremony location. Tim and Bethany were also snapping pictures when we didn't even know it! We have so many special photos of memories we didn't even expect, like crossing the street to the church with my sister holding my dress and my sister helping my mom with her dress. It was not a question when it comes to my Very Important Day AKA Wedding Day. Our daughter got married in Chicago and we live in Florida so it was very complicated to find somebody that we would like. We couldn't really rely on recommendations because we didn't know anybody there. Also to be perfectly honest we didn't want to spend more than $3000 on the photography. Being that the wedding was in downtown Chicago, everybody that I talk to before finding Robert was very stuck up and very very pricey. When I looked at Roberts work on his website I was absolutely amazed by the pictures that he would take. They were not traditional wedding pictures where you have everybody just lined up, they were pictures of the moments, pictures of the things that were actually happening. Just by looking at those pictures you could imagine what was going on at those weddings. His photographs tell a story and capture the most natural shots possible. For us, this was very important. Robert was very courteous and was able to cover the day without being obtrusive while at the same time being in the right place at the right time. We had many compliments about him from our guests. When I was hiring Robert I wanted to hire two photographers for my daughter's wedding every single moment would be captured. He tried to assured me that I would not need two photographers because of the size of her wedding. We had 80 people. I was still skeptical but he did say that he would have his assistant with him so I decide to go I and just hire him. Well, he was right! He was able to cover everything! Bride's preparations, groom's preparation, me being stressed out :), maid of honor helping, bride drinking a glass of champagne.... Everything that you want to remember from your wedding.
