Horrible customer service!! Will never go there again. I just left the store. I have been to this store several times for little things. Last week my daughter had an event at school just wanted to add a little volume to her hair. I bought 2 packs of hair and and the the 2nd pack ($60) Ended up not being what I thought it was and I had to open it to see that it wasn't what I needed. Packaged it back up, had receipt, and was within the 14 days and was denied my return. I was like I literally just open it realized it wasn't what I needed and packaged it back up. Store sales person says it's not original condition. I'm like it's the condition in which you sold it to me. So annoyed, I'm not trying to get over on you it's just not what I needed! I have noticed that in the last few weeks, month, there are new people in there. They are friendly or helpful. they follow you around like you going to steal something, but when you ask for help they don't want to help. My favorite part: $1.99 for NYX eyeliner, lipliner, and nail polish. However, both Ulta and Freestyle Beauty have bigger NYX selections. I went to KC beauty store on Monday and purchased a few items for myself and my daughter. I accidentally bought the wrong product and went back to the store the next day. The cashier told me that they cannot not refund or exchange the item and called the manager. I told the manager about my situation and explained I only need an exchange. This place has a TON of hair stuff! I didn't even know there were wigs in the back until my 3rd visit, I had just gone for products close to the front and the sides. The ladies working in the back were very helpful and answered all of my questions - I was there for a while. Customers were also asking me questions while I sat trying on different styles. Once I paid for my selections the woman in the wig section cut the lace for me and that was very helpful. purchased some clip-ins from this store. They match my hair perfectly and the hair was nice enough. However, 2 days after having the clip-ins the metal clips detached from the weft. I have extremely thin hair so it wasn't that I put too much hair in the clip, it was just poorly constructed. When I called the store their suggestion was for me to sew them back on. I caught an employee racially profile my wife who was looking for a specific blow dryer. She walked in and out since they didn't have it. I watched as an employee took pictures with her cell phone from the window of the store of my wife and my car. We confronted the employee who first acted like she did not take the photos, then later said she deleted them. She told us to speak to the manager. I went to KC because the reviews were good for customer service. Finding a good, realistic wig requires looking at and trying on at least a few, and maybe quite a few, different wigs. I wasn't looking to buy a really cheap one either. That said, I would hope the clerks would be friendly, helpful, and a little patient. Unfortunately, good customer service was not my experience at all. The middle aged Asian woman that helped me acted totally disinterested and was not the least bit friendly. I tried on three wigs (the limit), and she acted annoyed when I asked her a few questions, such as, does this come in different sizes, colors, can it be dyed? As for the 3 wig limit, I understand they wouldn't want people coming in and trying on a bunch of wigs with their friends as they laugh hysterically at each other (it would be fun though), but a wig is a pretty personal and hugely obvious accessory. We should be allowed to try on as many as we want or need to find one that's right, especially when it's clear we are serious customers. Finally, it was not busy at all. I was not keeping this woman from waiting customers. I don't get it, why couldn't she just be pleasant? For 3 years, I've been going to this beauty supply store to buy hair, whether it's for braiding, crochet braids, or weaves. They've got a VIP Membership Card which can be used to collect points based on purchases. After a week, I was able to return an UNOPENED package of crochet braids with my receipt. The staff promptly returned the funds to my credit card without any issues. The hair is reasonable priced. There's a wide selection of hair as well as various hair colors. We noticed when we got home the gloss was not in the bag. She checked the car trunk, no gloss. Called K.C Mart, same guy who checked us out answered the phone, he said he would have to check the camera footage and see if he put it in the bag...really, for a $3.99 lip gloss. So he claims the footage showed him putting it in the bag. He is incorrect, he put samples of a shampoo in the bag. I politely told him that he lost 2 faithful customers over $3.99.
