The front desk staff and my esthetician were super friendly and helpful. The facial itself felt nice, and I enjoyed the shoulder massage. My esthetician gave some solid skincare tips, though nothing I hadn't really heard before. They also offer blankets in the treatment rooms, which makes the basic setup feels a bit cozier. I was disappointed with the minimal extractions - which was the main reason I went. I still see more clogged pores after the facial. I got the red light therapy for my enhancement. I assumed they would add a little time to the session, but everything was still wrapped up within the 50-minute window. It definitely made me wonder if another part of the facial was cut short (maybe extractions) to fit the light therapy in. Without the promo, this service would have been around $200 with the enhancement. For that price point, I'd probably pay a little more and head elsewhere to get a more "spa-like" experience and more thorough extractions. read more

It felt very transactional, which is a letdown when you're paying for a wellness/self-care service. * The Room: The main entrance is bright and trendy, but the treatment room felt super basic and didn't match that vibe at all. It was small, sterile, and lacked the cozy, relaxing atmosphere I expected for a $100+ facial. Overall, it was just dark... The Facial: the treatment itself felt very basic for the price point--a good cleanse, mask, and massage, but nothing especially luxurious or advanced that justifies the premium cost compared to other places like HiSkin. Heyday is dedicated to facials, it is super easy to book an appointment and the check in process is easy. Treatment areas are curtained off and you sit in a reclining chair. The aesthetician will assess your skin, recommend a treatment and suggest any enhancements to add on to the treatment. I didn't feel any pressure to add on the enhancements suggested. The facial was well worth it, I left with glowing skin. There is a monthly membership plan, $114 a month, for one facial a month and 50% off any enhancement. read more

I saw someone else's review said they felt harassed by the upsale pitch, but I didn't think it was problematic. I was asked if it'd like a particular add-on, but when I declined that was it. No additional commentary or anything like harassment. I liked all the feedback and info on my skin's condition and the products' use and purpose. I've been getting regular facials at a bougie place in Georgetown for years. When my facialist moved recently, I started looking around for a new place. S friend of mine (who has impeccable skin) mentioned that she is a member at HeyDay so I decided to check them out with the first-timer price (99$). My esti Blake was wonderful - obviously knowledgable and passionate about her craft. She had a great bedside manner and was fun to chat with. She made sure I was comfortable and checked in at every stage of the facial. For the facial itself - my skin was RED, increasingly red, the night of the facial and I was so worried that I was having a reaction. The next morning I woke up and I was GLOWING - redness had disappeared. I think it was from the blue light they use on new customers? Whatever it was - my skin looks best it has in a long time. All in all I don't think I'll be back at HeyDay because even though my esti was great, I prefer a more spa-like atmosphere for my facials. If it was a more accessible price point, it would be easier to justify the curtained off rooms and 45 minute timing. The regular price at 145$ is too similar to the nicer spa places I am used to. The membership is cheaper, but every add on makes it cost basically the same as a full one-hour+ facial that includes guasha, etc, elsewhere. I think if their price point was a bit lower, it would justify the maintenance facial vibes and "facials for all" marketing. The staff was great though - props to them. read more

Last month I signed up for a membership after getting a wonderful facial at the new Alexandria location. I loved the esthetician i had and wanted to book with her monthly. Today, I had an appointment at 11:20 and I couldn't wait to go. I got a babysitter, drove 15 mins to Old Town, and spent 15 mins searching for parking as King Street is extremely busy, especially during the holidays. After paying $10 in a parking garage, I rushed in to the Heyday at 11:32 and was told sorry, I'd need to reschedule since there's a 10 min grace period and I was 2 mins beyond that. I asked if I could shorten my facial since it would be difficult for me to reschedule. I was told absolutely not. I am so disappointed in this zero tolerance policy with no flexibility or courtesy in trying to make it work. I asked for my membership to be canceled, as I am so frustrated after today's experience that I won't be back. I completely understand the need for timely appointments, but I was willing to pay the same amount for a shorter facial. I signed up for a membership and would've been a consistent monthly customer, but am so upset with having spent my whole morning trying to get to my appointment just to be turned away. At a location with extremely limited public parking, this feels like an especially harsh policy. read more

Pros: convenience of scheduling, availability of appointments, knowledge of aesthetician, price point Cons: not a full-on spa experience (if that's what you want), online scheduling doesn't work sometimes (but you can just call), my aesthetician left :( I've recommended to friends as an efficient way to take care of yourself, especially if you don't want to spend $250-300/facial like I was at Bliss spa at the W. The environment is small but clean and appealing. There's lots of product options and I've been happy with the ones I've bought that my aesthetician recommended. (Anywhere you get a facial, you have to get comfortable saying no to recommended products if you don't need them. The upsell hasn't been heavy handed in my opinion.) The effectiveness of products and recommendations from aesthetician has been on par with higher end spas, from what I've experienced. I've added on peels every time the aesthetician suggested it. The aesthetician was able to accommodate other topicals I was applying and suggest the right level of peel. My skin has been problematic (blackheads, whiteheads) but with the suggested products, extractions, and the peels, it's getting clearer. Fingers crossed my new aesthetician in the next appointment will be just as great as Victoria was! read more

First, the HeyDay facial experience was outstanding! The location is beautiful, clean, and the products my esthetician used were targeted for my specific skin needs. Our estheticians, Jacqueline and Kelly, were both very knowledgeable, patient, and provided outstanding product recommendations. We have already booked again and will be joining as members! Beyond the facial experience, the customer service was truly remarkable. Jenna Hill, the store manager, is truly lovely! Jenna has amazing product knowledge and provided us with very helpful insight into the brands HeyDay carries, individual products that can address our needs, and answered all of our questions about membership, enhancements and more! We have already referred 3 of our friends to this location and we have no doubt they will be WOWd by the experience! HeyDay's business model is different from the traditional spa experience. I came here for my first appointment yesterday. Heyday was absolutely fantastic. I did a 50-minute facial with Ashley, but skipped the exfoliation (I was getting eyebrows and makeup done afterward). I've always had a great experience at the Alexandria location and have been patronizing since its opening in Old Town. Please note HeyDay is not a spa - it is a place for one hour facials and you can shop for beauty products and tools. Easy to make appointments and I'm always greeted and checked in promptly. The facials are conducted in semi-private rooms (the rooms are separated by walls and curtains) and you are able to hear the music playing throughout the store (usually soft music). Honestly I fall asleep during my facials because the atmosphere is very peaceful. I receive monthly facials with Ivana who is phenomenal and makes great product recommendations. My skincare has positively been impacted by her guidance I never feel pressured to purchase anything or that she is upselling. I like the small/quaint store. They do adhere to the 10-15 min grace period but will easily accommodate a rescheduling request by telephone or text message. There is paid street parking nearby. read more

It was OK at best. I received a gift certificate for a first facial from a friend. My usual spot is the Sugar House but I figured I would give it a try. While in the chair I was up sold $80 for a enhancement that is similar to a hydra facial. It's awkward to be recommended a treatment and put on the spot for it. The "hydra pen" was very weak. I'm used to getting my entire face, neck, and décolleté done in a hydra facial for a similar charge (if you put my friends gift card, 80 bucks and the tip I left). There were no extractions or steamer put on my face which i thought was a standard to any facial I have gotten in the past. The chair and rooms felt more like a dentist office. The esthetician was nice but I do not like the model of selling memberships, up-sales, and selling products. In this situation , I don't blame the esthetician but the business model. read more

An $80 upsell included waiting while the aesthetician left the room to bring in a machine while I waited for her to plug in it to discover it wasn't working, to leave the room again and bring in another machine. How does this lead to a relaxing facial?! Was I offered a discount for waiting? No! Why doesn't each space have the equipment needed? For $80 I received one go around with the machine and was told that was it. I've had many hydro facials and the aesthetician has always run the device over my face 2-3 times. What a scam! I wanted for Mother's Day a facial so asked my husband to take care of the baby while I was taking care of myself. I heard about this place all over social media so I wanted to try it. My husband made a reservation for a facial at 2 pm. The place is located on King street, anyone knows that kings street is a busy street and some times finding parking space is not easy. I arrived to the location at 1:55 pm, but it took me about 17 min to find a space. Finally I found a spot but far away so I have to do a 4 min walk. I arrived to the store at 2:17 pm. I explained why I was late and the front desk lady said she will ask the person who was going to do my facial if she could still take me. Well she said no but they had an opening at 3 pm I said, I could not come back because first the only parking space I got was for 2 hours and then I needed to be back at home. I am sad that for Mother's Day I was not able to relax and have a "me time" because 7 min late of not finding a parking garage. Just disappointed that such a new place is not flexible to the client that way. Even in Mother's Day! Sorry Heyday, but not trying a place that is not able to accommodate such a simple requirement. read more
