I would like to give 3 1/2 stars for this review but I'll err on the higher side…read more I got my car detailed as a gift for Mother's Day yesterday. Having done a Yelp event about car detailing I had knowledge and expectations of how the car should be cleaned inside. And my car has been making trips back and forth to Pittsburgh so it really needed a good cleaning. But it wasn't in the category of dirty car horror stories that the car detailer described by any stretch. As I was taught by the zoom program I emptied the entire car of everything before it was taken in for cleaning. I also left all the hidden and not hidden cup holders and compartments open to make sure that they were given the best possible opportunity to get the car as clean as possible. The most important part was the space between the console and the seat. That skinny space you drop things in but can't fit your hand in to clean it up. And of course underneath the seats where the stuff that fell between seat and the console rolled. How did it turn out? Well it was returned to me at about 6:30 at night. It looked good but let me say that I did find a French fry underneath the drivers side seat. They left instructions to leave the windows cracked to let the car dry out. That's not an option if you don't have a garage that locks or a garage at all. Nor should the car be that wet. But in any case I wasn't going to be able to open the windows till this morning. When I got in the car this morning, I thought that I needed to turn on the windshield wipers because the windows were covered in dew or rain. But in fact that rain was on the inside of the car. The windows were so wet in fact that my inspection sticker was soaked and coming off the window and I couldn't drive at all. Even trying to drive wasn't possible with the defrosters on full blast and Kleenex to dry the front window. I had to wait in the driveway for some time till I could get going. When I returned from my errands I took my mats out of the plastic bag and put them on the driveway to dry and left the windows open to dry. I sincerely hope it doesn't rain in my car tomorrow. Overall they did a good job but there shouldn't have been any French fries under anything and the car should definitely have been dryer. What machine are they missing that they should have that would make it possible to have a dry car? They definitely need to invest in that machine.

I paid for a Super Kiss Plus plan and come to find out that Delta Sonic has been doing a basic wash…read moreon my car all winter. The basic wash uses a neoprene brush, that and along with their recycled water that is full of abrasive elements after washing multiple cars all day, has left scratches along both sides of my brand new 2026 vehicle. Delta Sonic's area manager Dave was very rude accused me of lying about the damages and the brush causing the damages. He refused to look up camera footage from February, March and April to prove that yes they did use those blue round neoprene brushes on my vehicle even though that was not in my plan. He reprimanded me for having less than 7,000 miles on my vehicle and told me that is a lot of miles for a new vehicle and that is where my scratches came from. I told him I live in the country and work in Buffalo so yes I have miles from driving back and forth to work every day and that would not cause parallel buff lines with scratches that trail along both sides of my vehicle. The only thing my vehicle was squeezed through since I got it was those blue neoprene brushes that should've never been used in the first place because I wasn't supposed to be getting a basic wash. I paid for a super kiss plus plan. So therefore not only did they damage my car they were charging me for a super kiss plus plan and only giving me a basic wash all winter.

Found Towne Motor Car through a Yelp search and a great review my an acquaintance…read more I don't have a regular garage, and have only visited a few repair shops over the years with different cars Ive had. Most recently after parking my key fob became stuck and the starter didn't engage. After trying AAA for a jump (and sold a new battery) I found myself in need of repair when the new battery didn't start the car. Using AAA to tow it over. Ive never been here and honestly have barely noticed it on Edward St when Ive driven by. Set back from the road a bit with their parking lot in front, upon walking in you realize how deep the building is and how much fits in it. (Neat) Well they gladly accepted my car, I had it towed after calling and discussing what I knew with Chris over the phone and make sure they had availability. The reason that I came here for wasnt as serious as I feared. Upon coming back those fears were met by what it cost to pass the NYS inspection. Obviously no fault of their own, I have a 2013 Chevy that is a hand me down from my parents and had already expected one issue that would probably needed to be addressed. (The Tires) Overall Im really impressed with Towne Motor Car, they were genuinely nice with every interaction and gave me the information that I needed to make a decision or had the conversation with me when what I thought was an issue wasnt. What really impressed me was when I had my car in for the starter issue they fixed the key issue (separate issue in my mind) and they even put my slightly fallen bumper back in place. Going above and beyond for a customer, very strange nowadays. But greatly appreciated! Bringing back in for the inspection they were easy to coordinate the drop off (key in the box, but they were open before 8 to hand it off). I received a call mid-morning to go over the issues needed to be addressed and got a timely call and text near the end of the day to pick it up. Plus they have a website where you can review your past service history, and make appointments. They even use your preferred communication method to reply back (call or text). Although I hope I dont need it soon, I think I found a garage to stick with.

They are unfailingly courteous and friendly. Indeed, their standards in that area are superior to any other mechanic I've been to in WNY, and in a world full of bullies I greatly appreciate it.

Looks like my review got removed for some reason! Short version, very rude upon initial brake…read morechange visit. Brought my own parts, as they told me I could. Purchased them from Pep Boys. When my brakes started making ear piercing noise within two weeks, I brought it back for them to look at. Instead of doing that, the owner got in the car with me in the passenger seat, decided to floor it going extremely fast down the road in the city, and slammed on the brakes, screeching my new tires. He said his job was to make sure the brakes worked, and told me that it was the brand new parts I bought. Never bothered to look at the car, because he "didn't do bad brake jobs". Never going here again. Extremely poor customer service.

Also, got tires replaced by them and one of tires was losing air down to 24 PSI within the same week of getting them done. Never getting my money again I can guarantee that. They also put in the wrong type of battery for my car and it was dead within 6 months.

Have lived a handful of blocks from this auto repair place for 15 years and never knew it was…read morethere, yet it occupies nearly an entire block of Niagara street. I think it is our new auto go-to place for most any automobile needs. I took Lynette's car in for an inspection this morning. She knew it was going to need at least one tire (it needed two) and that the wipers were starting to shred. But there was also a clunk that two other places had not been able to locate the problem, and two days ago the hood latch had broken. Max and the crew did it all. Marylou at the service counter provided friendly and courteous interaction and information. Sammy's began on Tupper St. in 1955 and has been on Niagara St. for the past 20 years. They do collision, towing, inspections, mechanics ...and hood latch repair. The clunk? "Over certain bumps or potholes, the exhaust pipe had been hitting the drive shaft." They were able to bend the pipe enough to keep that from happening. Thank you, Sammy's Auto Center!

I was explained everything in detail and had pictures on my invoice so I could see what's going on with my vehicle. They updated me along the way when they had my vehicle and even offered me a loaner car so I could take care of my kids, get back and forth to work. It's was easy to pay at time of pickup for my vehicle by a text link and email option because I was coming after they closed. Also they told me they do send out coupons in the mail. Keep your eyes peeled!
