I am going to create a new review for that address, with a generic gas station name. Below is my review for THE CLEVELAND DRIVE address!! I know nothing about 1050 Main Street, which absorbed my review for 1030 Cleveland Drive for some reason. *** This used to be a full-service auto repair and tire shop. It is not anymore, as those services have moved down the road to Cleve-Hill's new location on Wehrle and Beach. But this location still remains open, just as a gas station with a very small and limited convenient store. The real draw here are the gas prices. Cleve-Hill's gas prices at this station are usually always a little, to a good amount lower than anywhere else around. This morning I paid $4.19 a gallon, where most places are still over $4.30. There are about eight pumps here, in a no-frills rocky lot. It is generally easy in-and-out, being at the light on the corner of Cleveland and Beach. I'm not totally sure if this is still owned by Cleve-Hill or not. It is not on their website, but the name on the sign hasn't changed since they moved their repair shop down the road. So still look for the Cleve-Hill sign if you are coming here to top off or fill up. If you are in the area and need gas, you'll probably save yourself a few bucks, or at least some change if you get it here at Cleve-Hill gas station. read more

Scam artists. Quoted me $6000 for repairs, brought it to my regular mechanic and was quoted $2500 to fix all the same issues. Also, got tires replaced by them and one of tires was losing air down to 24 PSI within the same week of getting them done. Never getting my money again I can guarantee that. They also put in the wrong type of battery for my car and it was dead within 6 months. read more

In my experience types of places that make sure to educate you on your problems, helps you prioritize your problems, is willing to send you a video of the problem, and encourages you to check with other places on pricing and job ability are the best places. I had an old acquaintance who has their whole family taking their cars to Cleve-Hill and remembered them with my current problems arising. Wanted to update my review since I've been in here for more substantial repairs since my original oil change review. A few weeks ago, my relatively new car was in an abysmal state given the harsh Buffalo winter. One of my tires kept losing air so every few days I had to pump it up. My car wouldn't start at random times and I had to jump it every few days. Add to that, there was a strange noise coming from my motor (a whirring of sorts) which has gotten louder. I bought this car relatively new less then a year ago, so I finally stopped procrastinating and address these issues. It was Friday at 3pm when I decided to take it in. Except, every car shop I called told me they are too slammed to be able to give me a same day turn around. Cleve Hill was the only one who said they'd make some time. I told them all I thought was wrong with it: "probably the alternator, have no idea what that noise from my motor is, but another car shop told me it may be the bearings for my water pipe going bad...oh and my tire is bad, but I don't want a new tire so I was thinking of doing a fix-a-flat." The guy behind the counter noted all of this, suggested they just patch up the tire for $12 or so rather then doing a fix-a-flat (which can kill some of the pressure sensors in the tires) and said they'll look at it shortly. So I sat and waited, their waiting room seemed to be undergoing some repairs and had a bucket in the middle of it from a roof leak, but they still had some desks, free wifi and coffee. The desks were awesome...I simply sat down at one and worked for hours until they came back with: "so I have some good news for you." Good news at a car repair shop?! "It's not the alternator, it's actually the battery (much cheaper to fix). Your noise coming from the motor is not the watering bearing, but the A/C Clutch. This is not a big deal. It would be super expensive to fix at $1,000, so our recommendation would be to just keep driving with it. Your A/C might break, but it may last for another 5+ years as well." I came in expecting a bill of at least $500 for the alternator and ended up getting out of there for $224 (battery swap, tire, oil change). I also felt a huge wave of relief off my shoulders because finally my baby was taken care of! And all of this on a Friday afternoon?! They saved me a huge headache. ** I was struggling on deciding whether this place is 4-stars or 5-stars. My original thought was 4 stars, but after re-reading the update...I couldn't understand the downgrade given the great experience, so I've been going back and forth on it. I think things could still be better in the waiting room and prices are reasonable, but not cheap. Plus, I went in here once for an inspection and they quoted some pretty expensive repairs for my partner's older car. When she decided to seek the services of a cheaper shop, they still charged her for inspection despite not passing her (which is reasonable, I suppose)..but the amazing customer service move would have been to waive it. read more

I needed an inspection after changing my registration to New York. Cleve Hill is nearby to where I work, so I chose to use this business. I was very impressed with their service and knowledge. After inspecting my car they told me that I passed my inspection, and told me that I had a few other things to check off on my maintenance checklist. They were not pushy at all but I decided to go ahead and get the rest of the maintenance things fixed. After just a few short hours they fixed multiple things on my maintenance checklist including new spark plugs, oil change, air and cabin air filters. Reasonably priced and great customer service! I was out of town and needed a new tire just to get me home without having to buy 4 new tires in a city I don't live. I talked to the manager at 9:00 am, he told me to come by and he "would figure something out". He did! He found a cheap tire in his warehouse that fit, and it got me out of a bind. Highly recommend! We went to Anchor Bar while we waited, and they kept me updated the whole time. 10/10 recommend! read more

I had a good experience here. I live just a block away and it is always busy, so I figured it must have a solid reputation. I brought in my Jeep (It's only a 2017 model) due to a leak in one of my tires. I also needed a state inspection. Unfortunately, they were all booked and I had to wait a couple of days to drop the car off. Since I was working at Buffalo General that day, I dropped off the car and walked straight to work. Within a few hours, they called saying the car was all set - they fixed my tire and performed the state inspection, all for a reasonable price! They even accepted a coupon I found in the mail for the inspection price :D I did have to go back later that day because they forgot to place the tire valve stem cap back on my tire, but they managed to find one that fit. If I have any issues with my car in the future that are tire-related, I'll be using them! read more

When I took my car to the dealership for the 90,000 mile checkup, they recommended replacing the rear brakes. I made an appointment with Cleve-Hill because they're closer than the dealership. Very Covid-safe--the people behind the counter were wearing masks, there was a plexiglass shield, and signs said you can't enter without a mask. I left my car, and they said they'd call me in about three hours. I got a call in about an hour and a half and thought, Oh, now what's wrong? They were calling to say that I didn't need brakes at all, and the current brakes would be good for 20,000 to 30,000 miles. They didn't even need cleaning or lubricating. I ended up needing an expensive repair to make a mystery noise stop and they did not try to talk me into doing the repair since my car is fine to drive without it (and honestly, it's about time to get rid of it anyway). I looked around all morning to find a reasonably priced oil change and tire rotation. Everywhere I called quoted me at semi-synthetic but Cleve-Hill was the only place to tell me ahead of time that I might need full synthetic based on my make and model. Rob was very helpful and got me in that day even though I was on a time constraint. He also told me about a coupon ahead of time. Every time I've thought I've had some major problem, they have invariably told me that the issue was something smaller and less expensive. We've used them for tires, inspections, batteries and just about everything else. They're also good about getting you in when you're in a pinch. I strongly recommend them. read more

Cleve-Hill Tire & Auto was a great experience. Their online reservation system helps sort out those scheduling issues in the privacy of your own computer, they were extremely hospitable and friendly, and they did a great job. They put out the occasional awesome groupon, and that's great. This last time, however, I missed the groupon but still needed the oil change. No fear! They have an Oil Change Special that you can print off for a nice, cheap price. Check out their services pages and you will most likely find some kind of special they are running that all you have to do is find it and print it out to get a great discount. I guess I should add that this is the Buffalo location I'm talking about. While Main St. is a nightmare, this establishment is on a not-so-busy part of the street so it's fairly easy to get in and out of it. Anyway, definitely hit these people up for your auto needs. These guys are so nice. There are different types of magazines in the waiting area, something for everyone. I came in for a winter car check up. The man at the desk was helpful in explaining the different types of safety checks for my car. I came here before 10a on a Thursday and they were able to take me right away. After driving around ALL day trying to get our car inspection taken care of, I found this place on Yelp when searching near by auto shops and decided to call. They immediately told us to come right in and we'd be taken care of (other shops had 2 hour wait times). In the lobby they gladly give you the wifi password and have 2 stations set up for those who need to use their laptop. I was impressed with the level of customer service provided and friendly staff. Complimentary WiFi, bottled water, and k-cups = Win, Win, WIN!!! I'll be coming back here when I need something done!! read more

Went to this place for a car inspection (after already passing a complete inspection literally under 10 days before), just to essentially get another inspection sticker for the car under my name as I assumed ownership of the car from a relative. Within those 10 days, the car magically failed inspection and had a $1000 price on "needed" fixing. Would go anywhere else but here for your car. read more

I told them I had a clutch fluid issue ... and that more fluid temporarily fixed the problem. They said it would be a $800 job replacing many parts. Then added I might still need a new clutch for another $700... with no guarantees. I drove away without the work done and the clutch works fine 4000 miles later.... still not sure if they are poor diagnostically or just plain dishonest. read more

Since this place is directly across the street from my office, I have been here for many different services, ranging from replacing wipers or tires to oil changes and also major surgery on my old car. The place is actually pretty nice for an auto shop. They offer coffee, TV and free wireless. Not a terrible spot to wait. The guys are also all really friendly and patient. I feel comfortable talking to them and asking questions about things that I don't understand. However, this place makes me a little nervous. After owning my last car for almost ten years, it was starting to have a lot of problems. Out of convenience, I'd usually bring it to Cleve Hill and just let them fix everything without getting a second opinion. This was lazy on my part because I had been hearing rumors about the integrity of their business for years. I started questioning their business practices as well after a particular incident in which they "fixed" something that I did not ask them to "fix" and it resulted in an additional charge of $200-300 extra. Obviously I disputed it and we were able to find some resolution but it was a major red flag. After that, I ran into another major issue with my car. When Cleve Hill examined the issue, they told me that it would cost around a grand to fix it. At that particular time, I did not have an extra thousand dollars laying around for car repairs so I brought the car to Mufflerman at the advice of a friend. Luckily, they were able to tackle the issue for around $300. Shortly thereafter, I decided it was time to just suck it up and get a new car, so I haven't had to deal with any car issues at all which has been a wonderful change. However, this past week I had to get my first oil change on the new car. I brought it to Cleve Hill first thing in the morning and asked them if I could pick it up on my lunch break at noon. They assured me that it wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived at noon, they hadn't touched the car yet which was a little frustrating since I had other errands to run. However, the owner (I think?) of the shop agreed to complete the oil change right away. He also informed me that my car required a special, more expensive type of oil (great) but that he'd waive the extra charge since the job wasn't completed on time. I really appreciated this considering I only had to wait about 15 minutes. All in all, I like this place for oil changes, easy services and minor repairs. While I genuinely like the employees and the convenience of location, I'm still not sure that I'd bring my car back for something major. read more

Buyer beware! Went in for an oil change which was great however got charged $40 to switch out wiper blades! Yes that's right! No communication when asked if they could change the blades while doing the oil change that there would be a charge. I did get a $5 discount per blade but a $40 labor charge??? read more

These guys helped out my daughter who is a med student in Buffalo. Not only did they fix her fuel line in her car in a timely manner at a great price but they even added oil and fixed her turn signals at no extra cost. Really polite and explained everything they did to my car, got my car repairs done within 4 hours of dropping my cat off without a prior appointment. They did charge 90 for diagnostics that I wasn't thrilled with but cars are just expensive to maintain. read more

I appreciate their efforts. ***** I went there to purchase new tires and have them installed. They gave me a same day appointment and told me it would take an hour. They were very helpful and detailed on the phone. I left the car, was told I would receive a call soon. I went back after an hour and fifteen minutes and having received no call. My car was sitting where I left it. When I inquired, they said a car was taking too long to fix and they would get to mine in 20 more minutes; it would take another hour after that to finish the work. This was already late for me so I asked for my keys back. They made no attempt to apologize or remedy the situation. read more
