A few weeks ago my Doberman Memphis fell ill having trouble breathing. I called K+K and when they answered they asked if it was an emergency and if not, if I could hold. I said emergency and they calmly asked what was going on and I hysterically told them. I knew they get busy and can only see a limited amount of emergency patients so I asked if they had one available and they said to bring him in. We live 45 minutes away and unfortunately Memphis passed on the way to the hospital. But I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and for being willing to see him on such short notice. Memphis always loved coming to see you guys. Do not ever go to this place. Our dog got bit. My daughter terribly upset. The "ridiculously condescending" attendant was absolutely trying to intimidate us into decisions that did not have to be made. It was 4:30 when she went too the appointment on a Friday. They said the dog needed surgery and we had to come up with a thousand dollars in a half hour or put the dog down. That was impossible. Everyone still at work. I couldn't have gone to the bank or anything with that time constraint. I don't carry a thousand dollars on me. She doesn't want to give back our dog. She said it would be inhumane for us to take the dog The dog would would get maggots if she sent it home with us it was surgery or death... only choice. Hurry and decide you have fifteen minutes. BUKLS,$$$t!! Do not ever believe anyone that limits your choices like that. There are many other options. She said going to a vet on the weekend would just cost us twice as much and she would call animal control on us if we took the dog and I said "go ahead". I was taking that dog. After a lecture on economics and how the business industry in the US works (which I guarantee I absolutely did not need-I have a bachelor of Arts from Pepperdine) we took the dog. Animal control showed up at our house. She was just doing her job. I wouldn't have allowed her inside but my kids ..to honest and forthcoming.. talked to her before I could stop them. She said get the dog looked at by Monday.Vance, my son, took Tinkerbell to the vet, Sequoia Animal Hospital in Visalia. They were shocked by the sitiation. The dog didn't need surgery.Payment was not pressured. The vet said we work out the cost when the dog comes back to have the bandages changed. He gave us an estimate which was not double but closer to half the amount quoted by k and K in. lemoore and it was the weekend which is emergency hours and prices for vets. They fixed the wound, put a cone on her and sent her home. She is fine. You could see the bone on her paw-it was a serious wound. But, stuff happens. Dogs get hurt. You don't put them down. Three legged dogs were common on the farm. I don't know if the attendant at Karing for Kreatures in Lemoore was thinking she was doing the right thing..which she absolutely is not. I don't know if she was just naive and untrained. Well, that's true she is certainly untrained. Does not know how to talk to customers and knows little or nothing about animals. She couldn't tell me what was wrong with the dog..She went and got the dog to show me the wound when I asked what procedures the dog needed. I have seen the wound. That tells me nothing. I went to a professional for a diagnosis and the dog's prognosis. What I got was a lecture on economics, shown the wound, animal control sent to my home and my daughter beaten over the head with the threat of maggots getting in the wound. Then I was informed I was a bad person for taking the dog and not killing it...which I would have to pay for in advance. She does not know me. I would sell my car to save that dog. I would do anything for my daughter. How dare her insult me and try to scare my daughter into killing her dog. This leads me to another alternative. She is a serial dog killer. She gets off belittling people in emotional distress. She adds to the difficulty of the situation by adding financial distress . When that's not enough she lets you know you are a loser and can't be responsible for your own animals and sends the authorities to your home and hopefully they will kill the dog that slipped through her fingers. She enjoys pushing her" wrong in opinion" , judgements and exerting her will over humans to achieve her ultimate goal..killing dogs or being right whatever. The moral of the story is run away from Karing for Kreatures .run, crawl, limp anything just get away and hide your pet from them. The more general lesson is never ever believe anyone that comes from a place of unknown entitlement and importance that tells you to make a life shattering permanent decision with impossible financial constraints , no information, no second opinion, with the threat of "the authorites" and " maggots". How many dogs or other animals has the establishment..this person killed needlessly? This isn't over .they alerted the wrong person. Live your truth .this is wrong and I intend to end it. read more

Will pressure to the euthanize if you can't pay for unexpected surgeries. If you try to refuse service after arrival they will call animal control to seize your animal. I was given the option of 1,000 up front, euthanasia, or my dog seized, I went to several other vets and was quoted for half of their price and told that their threats made against us were horrendous. read more

Worst experience ever! Not only did they max out my CareCredit card they never gave me a diagnosis for my cat. She was dying because they didn't treat her. They kept sending her home sick. I had her back and forth there for a week. They had her there all day. They ran all kinds of expensive tests and still said they didn't know what was wrong. I had a jump ship after that and take her to another vet. She was extremely constipated and couldn't eat at this time or drink water. The other vet took absolutely good care of her and got her back to good health. She was almost on her deathbed when I took her there. If you want your animal to die and want a big bill to pay for when that happens, then go to this vet. read more

Warning to Pet Owners I do not recommend Karing for Kreatures. I brought my cat in for a respiratory infection, and she was not properly diagnosed. Instead, a SNAP test showed positive for FIV/FELV. The office manager discussed this out loud in the lobby and blamed me for not having my cat tested earlier. She asked where my cat was spayed, and when I said the HOPE Foundation, she stated that was the reason for the positive SNAP test and said my cat must have been around other cats. She then told me it was my fault for not bringing my cat to their clinic for testing. This conversation took place publicly. Later, my cat had actual bloodwork, which showed she was negative for FIV/FELV, confirming the SNAP test result was incorrect. After continued lack of proper diagnosis, I had to rush this cat to an emergency veterinarian, where she was diagnosed with cancer. By that point, she had already gone through significant time, expense, stress, and pain. I also had serious issues with my second cat. I brought her in for what appeared to be a bite on her leg. Her condition worsened, and she later became unable to breathe. I rushed her to the emergency veterinarian, where she was found to have a blockage in her lungs, and she passed away. This clinic is extremely expensive. When my cat stayed overnight, I was told I would receive updates and photos, but I received the same photo multiple times from different angles. Based on missed diagnoses, incorrect testing, poor communication, unprofessional behavior and the outcomes my pets experienced, I strongly caution other pet owners before choosing this clinic. read more

She came into the office with sarcasm and being very disrespectful. And asked if k was confused about a quote for almost 800.00 dollars. I do not recommend going to the hospital. However the other staff was very nice. The woman insulted me by wanting me to leave as soon as possible when I was nothing but nice. I just said I wanted to leave. We moved to the area in April and my goal was to find a trusting vet to establish my dog with. I found Karing For Kreatures on a whim, after researching the options in my area when my dog needed urgent care. They thankfully had availability for a same-day appointment and I was pleased with the service my husky and I received. All of the staff were kind and gentle, and really stuck true to providing a "fear free" environment for my dog. They had all of the resources needed to treat my dog and were patient enough to answer any and all questions/concerns I had. Dr. Collins was the vet assigned to us and she was very attentive and knowledgeable. She eased my worries by providing information that was clear and concise. Financially, I knew what I was possibly facing with a 90+ pound dog receiving tests and X-rays, however, I was not deterred by the price of our treatment plan knowing that my dollar was going towards such a comforting, knowledgeable, and stress-free veterinary clinic where I also felt listened to. They know I love my dogs! So when my Crumpet Sassy Lashes had to stay the night I got updates all night. Even pictures at 2am which allowed me to finally sleep. I've been coming here for just under three years with both my 95lb dog Remi and 15lb dog Lady. The staff have always made us feel welcome. Although their office is not close to my home, I choose to use this vet due the way they treat my animals and me. My dogs are always happy to see the girls here and get a few pets. Any questions I have are always answered fully. It is always clear whether something is necessary vs optional. When given a treatment plan, the breakdown of cost is clear and if I decide to postpone/eliminate a part of the plan or add something to it, the staff are able to do that. The staff is great about making follow up calls to check on my pups when they've had serious health issues. Over the years I've seen them handle difficult or sensitive issues with grace and poise. I had been taking my cat here for almost 3 years, it was mostly ok at first, but then I started realizing how they constantly try to upsell. They prey on unsuspecting clients who will just agree with all the recommendations because we don't know better and trust that they know what is really needed. It is so sad that we trusted you guys with our pitbull for a surgery a year or two ago to remove that ball on her leg, and when we brought her home she was COVERED in DRIED DOG SHIT!! When we called to complain You guys claimed you had no idea how that happened and did not even try offer any explanation for how this happened. Fast word to now , we have an issue with her and STILL wanted to trust you guys with her even after that incident, and we are told she's on a "no surgery" list because we called and complained for what YOU GUYS did to her! Worst place to take a large breed dog. My boy is the sweetest dog and they miss judge him based off his size. They double muzzle him when he didn't even show any signs of aggression. The vet tech didn't even try to introduce her self she just told my wife to muzzle him and then came back and muzzle him a second time. But before this he was so sweet to a random customer in the lobby. Then had to nerve to tell my wife that she is the problem. When my dog did nothing wrong. My poor baby girl. I was stupid and left her cage door open, she got on top of the big girls' cage and one of them nearly bit her toe off. I called the vet ER in Fresno, but none of the exotic doctors were in. I was directed to K+k and I couldn't have been happier once I got there. The outside of the hospital was beautiful. I loved their chalkboard sign indicating that all animals were welcomed including my rat baby. They even had cute little jars of treats for all different types of pets (bird, herbivore, cat, dog, and small animal) in the room. The entire establishment was immaculate. Clip boards would help. When a call tells me my pet is ready then I should not have to wait for a customer to fill out paper work at the receptionists. They need clip boards. After a call that my pet was ready I still waited another ten minutes to pick her up. So twenty minutes total to get our pet. Med service is good. Front office needs improvement. Meds for dogs must be ordered through the vet office, so when you need a refill, plan way ahead. I hope this helps KK improve their business. read more

Office manager was extremely rude "are you calling to cancel or just complain because your unhappy" is her exact words when I told her I have never had a vet require another appt two weeks before neutering a dog they just saw a few months before. They consistently overcharge and scare people I to unnecessary procedures. They told me my dog could die because he ate bark! By the time they were done with my dog who was completely fine, they got $1500 out of us! As a military family on a budget this was a huge expense we were not prepared for. DO NOT USE THIS. VET unless you want to be scared, overcharged and talked rudely to by office staff. Update: after they read this review they promptly kicked me and my dogs out of their practice and said we are no longer able to bring our dogs there. "We do not service people who try to harm us on the internet" So producing an honest opinion is harming you? Maybe you should rethink your customer service LADONNA. (Office manager) She also then stated I never updated my address which is not true considering we have been there multiple times in the last few years and fill out a form each time we go with our new updated address. This place is the most unprofessional vet I have ever encountered. I feel bad because the doctor herself is such a good doctor but the staff have ruined her reputation based on all the reviews I see on the internet. In regards to their response below she knew very well that she was being rude because I said "well that was rude" and she didn't even apologize. She continued to talk down to me the entire conversation. As for "several months" you saw my dog four months ago, most places only need one visit a year. Cost for the pre op appointment was not explained at any time during the conversation and it made me feel as though I was not trusted enough not to bring a sick dog to the clinic fo surgery. We are all adults here and we know when our pet is sick otherwise you wouldn't have to ask us questions to assess if they're sick when we bring them in. I have been to many vets in the area and although the have the technology, they lack bedside manner and they scared me into spending $1500. You can deny that was the cost all you want but I have the credit card bill and the receipts. I was taken advantage of which disappoints me because I spoke so highly of them until may of this year. You can compare it to human medicine but this is dog medicine and the standards are not the same. I love my dog like a human but a pre op appointment is overkill and sharing client information is a violation of the privacy code of practice and demonstrates how unprofessional they really are. If you can't handle criticism then you shouldn't be in business. Not everyone will agree with you and if anyone questions a policy they shouldn't be talked down to but rather it should be explained down to the cost and reasoning politely not belittled because you are annoyed. I have every right to question why I am giving you my money and if you don't like that it's too bad and you won't be in business for too long if you keep kicking people out of your practice. I will unfortunately make everyone that I can aware of how poorly I was treated because no matter how many questions I have asked other vets I was always treated with respect. Do yourself a favor and find a vet that cares not just about animals but the people that love them. read more

They took wonderful care of both of our pets. My cat had an emergency and we really didn't know what would happen. Everyone was so calm and reassuring that they would do everything possible to help and he made a full and quick recovery. Even during pandemic restrictions, they found a way to care for our pets and ease their anxiety. 10/10 recommend for anyone but especially military families searching for a reliable vet as they relocate. read more

I just want to say that this is hands-down the best veterinary clinic that I have been to in a very long time. The staff are phenomenal nice sweet and funny. I have five dogs and I've also taken a bird that fell out of a tree. They have never not found the issue with any of my animals, of course after a complete diagnostic. Not really sure if that's what you call it but I am thankful that they are very thorough.I am aware that some people are offended by the thoroughness or the amount of money that has to be spent regarding an animal's care, When you take on an animal you take on their health. Phenomenal experience each time I have utilized this Practice. I have never waited long and have always been treated well. We are currently going through a cancer battle with our dog and they have gone above and beyond with helping us. I was even given a note to explain to my employer about my dog's cancer.
