Annual wellness check-up and vaccine for my rabbits. This was my 3rd visit to this clinic and our second visit with Dr. Lindsey Eby. I didn't catch the name of the RVT that assisted her but she also has a pet rabbit and she was really good at assisting Dr. Eby for the exams and clipping their nails. All the staff is always friendly and professional. I love their new system that can text and email you reminders about your appointments and they use Otto Vet app in which you can view any upcoming appointments, pet info like vaccines, prescriptions, set up appointments and much more. I appreciate how gentle Dr. Eby and the RVT were at managing to hold the rabbits to be examined and give them their vaccines. read more

Was on a road trip with my lil yorkie, who is a senior dog. On the first night, it was apparent, he was not going to like any part of traveling. I was in panic mode, as I didn't have any paperwork with me to prove he was vaccinated. This business "squeezed " me and my lil guy in the next morning. I paid $145 on Monday because my dog got glass in her paw on her walk and it was hours before our vet opened up! They said because she wasn't limping or crying when they touched her paw, the glass wasn't there. Come Friday (today) I'm playing with her and feel a crack.. her paw STILL had the glass in it! I called and told them & they all they said was I could pay to take her back Monday which means I'd have to take MORE time off!! Waste of time, energy, & money! Dr Eby and the staff at Redwood always go above and beyond to care for my pets. For routine care or more emergency type visits, I've always received accurate quotes and timely test results. I have been offered cost effective and more extensive treatment options when requested and I've never been surprised when the final bill was issued. Most recently our dog was sick and Dr Ebys diagnoses was confirmed by test results. She treated her quickly and our dog was back to her happy self by the time she left. For therapeutic or routine care, from the time I call to make an appointment to the follow up, the staff is professional and caring. This clinic charged me $145 without even telling me that would be the fee for what they refer to as a "fit in appointment", then quoted me over $1,000 for labs and X-rays that were overpriced and I later discovered, completely unnecessary. When I saw that price of the "fit in" visit, I complained that I was not informed of the $145 fee, but they sent me a bill anyway, despite my leaving! I contacted Lone Oak Vet who "fit me in" at 8am the next day and told me that all of the labs and X-rays were unnecessary, and only charged me $52 for the exam! My cat is doing great now! I wouldn't trust Redwood with your pets, as it is quite obvious that they have a financial agenda, and take advantage of people that love their pets. read more

My dog is a regular patient at this hospital. And it's been fine.. but I had a very sick, dying cat, they wouldn't see it because it was a new patient and we'd have to wait. I was upset but ok. Today a dog broke into our yard and and killed two kittens and mangled one that was hanging by a thread alive. They wouldn't see us today to euthanize this poor cat and get it out of its misery. That's it. Two times this animal hospital won't take a dying animal from a family who uses them! I will not go back. I will not recommend them. I advice you to not go there as well. They have no compassion or empathy for dying animals in need. read more

We have been bringing our cat here since last year after my sister, a vet tech, referred us here. We've had really good experiences. Unlike some other vets we've been to, they are very straightforward with their pricing and quotes, and there are no hidden fees or anything unexpected that pops up on your bill. We've seen Dr. Fleischer and Dr. Birte and both have been awesome. Since we live and work pretty far from here, the office has been very accommodating. They kept our cat overnight for a procedure and the boarding fee was more than reasonable. I was shocked. After her procedure, my cat was sent home with a very expensive antibiotic. They let us know in advance what the cost was and why she needed it. They also said that when she finished that bottle, to let them know and they can sell us a partial bottle to save us money. What vet says that? They had also ordered some very expensive tests and asked if we wanted to do them. We said we'd need to wait so they suggested giving her meds for now and if she hadn't improved, to run the tests later on. I really appreciate the honesty because other vets we've been to have ordered tests and told us that we HAD to do them, whether we could afford them or not. Anyway, we've been really happy with our experiences so far. No vet is cheap, but their prices are reasonable and their doctors are very caring. We will continue to bring our pets here. read more

I absolutely love the Dr's and the staff. I have been to two Veteranarians with my poor Missy. She was diagnosed with Glaucoma. This eye disease needs urgent care and meds to try and save the eye. Time is of the essence. Thank God I called Redwood. They have the tool and the meds. Missy will have to have her Beautiful sweet eye removed due to the time I spent going to other Veterinarian practices trying to get what she needed. I scheduled an initial appt for my pet over the phone. No issues with the staff, very pleasant. Paid the $120 initial visit fee prior to the appt. So we missed the appointment accidently and received a call 1 hr after the sched appt telling me that the $120 was NON REFUNDABLE and would have to pay another $120 to reschedule the appt. I made the appt over a week in advance and I never received via text message, e mail, mail, nor over the phone when I made the appt, information regarding their non refundable policy or what not. The receptionist was courteous and seemed to understand and agree that it was unfair that I would loose the $120 and therefore I was rescheduled and the $120 was to be used for the following appt. Well, today I received a phone call from Vicky at the vet office told me that the office preferred to not have us as clients and therefore refunded me the $120... Long story short, they need to inform new clients of this policy and should not get upset if someone speaks up and doesn't agree with their policy when they are not even made aware of it. Just a heads up for new clients... Hopefully they do advise owners from now on about this. read more

I wouldn't rate it 1 star but had to get this in! Stay away far away! This clinic is only in it for the money! I was a client for 9 months I always seemed to gasp at their pricing it is always so crazy expensive! I recently received a letter from them telling me they were terminating our client patient relationship because of my distrust in their services! I guess asking them questions or disagreeing with their treatment plan and seeing other options is going against their policy or something! I took my dog in for itching and possible skin allergies and see if maybe he had an ear infection. I gave the initial Info to the tech then the dr came in and began telling me that it could be fleas or allergies treat for both their their oral medications they were pushing I was not comfortable giving my dog . They gave me an estimate of 400$ for meds and exam services that didn't include any testing . I said I would research on my own and asked for alternative medications and asked her what my dog had? She didnt tell me all she said was she was going to treat him for both! She didn't offer to have him tested for fleas or mites or check his skin to see what she felt it might be. He was laying on floor the entire 5 minutes she was there, she even left mid sentence saying she needed to see about another dog and left! She did not touch my dog take his temp for possible infection nor lift an ear, and I was charged for an exam for 65$. Where was the part of the exam I paid for? I paid and left very unhappy with the service and with no answers . I called and asked the office manager what an exam entails and she said take temp, check heart rate, and check for what dog came in for. I said I was charged for an exam and was not given any of those services, no temp no heart check they did not even touch my dog! She said I was lying and that dr said she physically examined my dog! Liars! I said the tech was in there with us and she went ahead and said both dr and tech can attest they physically examined my dog when they actually didn't! I asked for a refund for services that were not rendered!! After a long conversation about my concerns and informing them of their fraudulent fees for services not rendered they finally refunded me after I threatened to report them to BBB!! Then day later came the letter that my dog couldn't be seen anymore and terminated client patient relationship! The audacity! Like I would take my dog anywhere near the money sucking place! No compassion just cold daily transactions no relationship with clients or pets!! Beware! If you question anything like type of treatment or diagnosis or medication they get very apprehensive . Front staff are rude and barely break a smile. After all the lying I couldn't trust them any longer ! I chose not to take my dog and end the relationship not you! After reading other reviews it appears they use that letter pretty often! I wish I would have seen that prior to taking my baby there for services!! read more
