Prices are very reasonable and it's located in an area where there's plenty of food options as well. If you're looking for music albums, this is the place to be. There is a huge variety of light sticks sold here from BTS to Super Junior to Blackpink to TxT. The prices are comparable to another kpop store found in this plaza. Workers are also there to answer your questions about availability of products. In the Source Shopping Plaza of Buena Park, it looks very fun & inviting. Not only do you get to listen to music & purchase merchandise, there are places to eat, from Ramen to K-Dogs, to dessert to drinks. My only advise is to CALL to make sure their store hours haven't changed (sometimes the update isn't reflected on their website or even on Yelp). If you are looking for a particular album, CALL so you don't waste a lot of time in traffic. read more

Lowkey overwhelmed with how many people were shopping here - young & old, different races, tons of non-asian people, I LOVE IT. Most definitely amazed at the variety of merch they carry. Plushies to trinkets to pens to posters to albums to slippers to face masks to LIP BALM, they have it all. Slap a BT21 label on it and it is SOLD. Haha. Our visit was solely for BT21 merch & boy did my friend leave with many bags full. Fun experience for me. My new favorite K-Pop store! I had no idea that they had one in this area. I no longer have to drive all the way to Ktown for an album or merch. This store is fully stocked with almost any K-Pop group's album, light stick, and more! They were fully stocked with TXT, Stray Kids, Blackpink, MAMAMOO, NCT, and of course, every single BTS album - even limited editions! With recent news, I was on the look out for some GOT7 albums this visit. I was a bit disappointed that they only had the three most recent GOT7 albums - which I already had. Seeing that they were fully stocked of most artists, I had my hopes up for a GOT7 album. It is understandable though. GOT7 albums are hard to find nowadays. They did have the GOT7 2018 Light Stick however! It was $49.99, which is a really good price compared to online stores. It had the JYPE verified sticker and the employee gave us a demonstration on how the light stick worked prior to purchasing it. (batteries are not included) Overall, I will definitely be back! This shop is located in the cutest Asian mall (The Source) and there will many occasions that I will be able to stop by and window shop... or buy an album... or five. read more

Came to buy an album that listed on their website for $23.99. Came into the store and the album was priced at $25.99. When I asked to price match their own website, they refused and justified the price increase with the cost to ship the items to their store, like what??? Why do I have to pay for a shipping fee for an item that I'm buying in-store. Since I was curious, I ripped off the $25.99 sticker price and what do you know, the original $23.99 sticker tag was right underneath. Why lie with the whole shipping cost reasoning?? It turns out they were increasing the cost of all their albums to compensate for a promotion they were running. Very dishonest and anti-consumer for them to do this in addition to the not-so friendly staff. On a smaller note, what I bought included a pre-order benefit photocard. Since I bought 2 albums, they gave me 1x photocard and 1x polaroid. I asked if I could get a photocard instead of the polaroid, but they said no. I know most places give out the pobs randomly, but stores I've visited have given me the courtesy to choose between photocard or polaroid -- this place did not. This is more of an observation than a complaint, but it's still a bummer though. Only go here as a last resort if you can't find what you want elsewhere. read more

If you're looking to find your favorite K-pop artist's merchandise and avoid high shipping, this is a good shop to visit. This is located on the first floor next to the women's and children's clothing shop and across from the specialized beauty store. They carry lightsticks, albums, fan/unofficial merchandise, and some apparel and small accessories. It's always packed whenever I've visited because they offer almost every group in there. Everything is labeled clearly and it's easy to find groups in there, based on their labeling system on the shelves. Any new merchandise is in the first four tables closest to the front of the store on the right of the store. Sale merchandise is located on the four tables behind the new merchandise. I'm pretty sure it's run by a couple and they run a good business. They try to check out people quickly and make sure that any freebies that were offered with your item are included with your purchases. At times they may run promotions like buying merchandise and getting free posters or something. Pricing is fairly comparable to some other competitors that are online only retailers - sometimes a little higher, but you are paying to avoid the risk of shipping and handling (plus potential damages) and supporting a small business. I bought my ITZY lightring from them and they included the Photocards that came with the lightring. Make sure you check your purchases carefully before buying because they have a no returns policy noted clearly at the front! Because this is connected to The Source OC, you can always find parking in the attached structure. read more

Despite them not ever picking up the phone, I still had a way better experience here than at the other kpop store, K Place. I originally bought two Blackpink light sticks from K Place but was disappointed to find that they were dirty upon unboxing. When I asked the workers why they looked dirty, they told me that "they just come like that" and that "it's normal." I was having a hard time believing them but they did test both light sticks to make sure they actually worked and they did. They also said I could just clean it and that it's most likely just dirt. This was my first time ever purchasing a light stick and so I made sure to do some research beforehand of other people unboxing their official merch they bought and I'd never seen the legit ones this dirty. It was really odd. Nevertheless, I went over to Kpop Music Town to compare prices and they were actually selling their Blackpink light sticks for a dollar cheaper. When I asked if I could take a look at them before purchasing, they told me I'd have to buy them first before checking the integrity of the light sticks. So instead, I asked them if it was normal for them to come out looking dirty and the worker was confused. After we explained everything that had happened earlier, she asked to see our light sticks we purchased. They immediately said that wasn't normal and shouldn't be that dirty, and that it's not a manufacturing issue either. I was very sad and disappointed to know my expensive purchase was a bad experience--they had flat out lied to me it seems, but thankfully K Place has a 14 day return policy so we literally went back to return those and came back to Music Town to buy from them instead. After the transaction went through, two workers thoroughly inspected both light sticks to make sure they worked and that they were to our liking (i.e. not dirty) and we were very happy with our purchase. TL;DR buy from Kpop Music Town instead of K Place if you're looking for official merch like light sticks. It'll save you a lot of hassle. Plus they're run by very helpful employees. read more

A few weeks ago, my dear friend and I were at the Source in Buena Park walking around and checking out the place. We stopped by K-Pop Music Town and looked around. It's a well lit store with many merchandises... it was a little tight getting through the isles as they are narrow. I guess they want to use as much space for the goods and just enough space for their customers to walk through LOL. My friend ended up buying a cute wallet with BTS design on it for her daughter. I didn't buy anything, however, it was pleasant looking at the BTS products and admiring a few of the BTS members LOL. I've only come to known the BTS music group band through the song "My Universe" by Coldplay + BTS. Love that song! Funny how we're all connected in some ways. Albums are usually $25-30 after tax which is a little pricey but sometimes they also come with a poster. You can buy certain albums online then pick up in store if you want a cheaper price without the poster. read more

I have been able to find things at this store that were either sold out or not available at KPlace though, so just check both if you need. Staff is nice here, no rewards program, they accept cards. Store is less busy than Kplace, due to location so you can browse in peace if you need to. :) They also have a bin by the checkout of "BOGO" specials if you wanna take a look, usually Buy 1, Get 1 60% off. read more

Every time I pass through town I make a stop here. This was my very first Kpop store I ever visited when I fell down the BTS rabbit hole in late 2020. Came in here with great curiosity but a lot of hesitancy. I was trying really really hard not to start liking BTS. Walking in here was like being in another universe that I didn't understand at first. But, they are so well stocked with albums, tchotchkes and accessories. Now that I am ARMY it's fun to look at everything. My only pickle is that their prices seem a little high to me on some things so I haven't made many purchases. But, I'll keep coming back. I also bought an album and there was a random photo draw in which she put a random card. KPop Music Town is of my favorite Kpop shops in the LA/OC area. This one is located inside the Source, which can get pretty busy on the weekends, but if you come by on the weekday, there's plenty of parking in the garage structure. The shop itself is stuffed full of merch and the manager and employees are all very helpful and nice. The most efficient way to get your Kpop goodies from them is to order through their website and then select the pick up option! Super fast and convenient! read more

Incredible service and a robust stock of merch and music across their stores! I NEED to give a review because of the awesome experience I had. I was looking for a specific album and called ahead after seeing this store had it in stock. It was not at this branch, but another in SoCal, and the shopkeeper said they could have it for me to pick up. I bought another album in the meantime. The next day, I called ahead to request one copy be put aside for me. I even got a text with a more accurate time window of when to pick up my goods! The transaction itself was smooth and even though I interacted with a different staff member each time, everyone was friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend if you're looking specifically for albums. read more

This place is a K-Pop fan's wet dream and the store holds just about everything that a fan needs such as albums, lightsticks, posters, merch, and accessories. I found out about this place after discovering what stores were within The Source plaza and since it is near a Bible study class that I attend every weekend, I wanted to check it out. I was not disappointed at all. I usually get my K-Pop gear in Koreatown in downtown Los Angeles or from Amazon. But, since it is in the Orange County area, the distance from home is better. The prices are quite fair too! Since many of the goods are exported from South Korea, the prices are reasonable. I would say 60-80% is BTS stuff, but that's the popularity of that band, right, Armys? They also provide free giveaways (i.e., mini-posters, etc.) when purchasing, so keep an eye out for that. Was looking for a place to pre-order some Twice albums and came across this place. It was really easy to do so with the help of Rebecca, the employee working at the time. :) Definitely this place is much more catered to Armys or BTS fans since there was such an influx of BTS merchandise but that's all K-pop stores these days. I would very much prefer maybe a little more variety of merch (not saying that just because I'm a Once haha). They were well stocked on all kinda of albums though! I think opening up an online store would be great and offer some in-store pickup options since I am a bit further away but this is the nearest K-pop store to me. Location is convenient though as it's right off of the freeway and offer free parking at the large parking structure. read more

If you're in the OC area and need to get your kpop fix, stop by K-Pop Music Town. If you live in the OC, going to LA is a far and traffic filled drive. This place is in Buena Park at The Source on the first floor. From the parking structure you need to go towards the back and follow the sound of kpop music. It'll lead you to the store. They had a discount of 10% if you show them your BTS concert ticket. The store owner was so sweet and he told me they may run that promotion until the end of May even after the concert so save your concert ticket. He gave me a free BTS poster (usually around $6) that corresponded to the Map of the Soul Persona album I bought which is version two. He also gave me a free clear BTS bag (5.99 usually) so I'll be ready for the concert! I was so happy and appreciated it so much. Also, he put 5% of my purchase amount on the rewards card. When you get to $10 on the rewards card, you can spend it in store. I highly recommend everyone here because not only is it convenient for those in the OC area but also their customer service is top notch. read more

I was in town from San Diego and purchased a BT21 fan only to find that it was damaged when I got home. The fan had cracks on it and I was unable to open the head of the fan to expose it as it was locked in/jammed in. I tried to DM the K-Pop music town Instagram about it along with the receipt and photos they told me to reach out to their customer service email. I sent the same info and photos to the email and it's been 3 weeks without a response. I don't live in the OC so I can't just stop by the store. I wouldn't recommend purchasing any products from here as they may be broken and they aren't communicative if you do have issue. You'll just end up wasting money. This fan was $35!! It was not cheap. So it's annoying how they can't even respond. I've followed up as well and still nothing. So lame. read more
