What a beautiful ode to physical books! We stumbled on this shop when walking around fullerton and…read moreit was such a pleasant surprise. Make sure you give yourself ample time as there is so many different books and sections. So nicely curated a with so many options. You are greeted as you enter and the staff is very helpful with any questions. I loved the postcards and dvds and variety. Everything is priced well and you can leave with a great deal. They also do fire sales every quarter. They also had really cute tote bags. If you have a book lover in your life this is a wonderful place to visit. They also buy books and you can bring two boxes of books to sell to them. They do not take encyclopedias but they do take text books

I came here on a Fire Sale Monday after lunch. Right away, someone at the counter greeted me and…read moretold me about the slashed prices. Similarly, when I went to checkout one hour later, I was quickly and warmly attended to. You read that right. One! Hour! There were a lot of people, but it honestly felt nice. The air buzzed with literary excitement. There were plenty of books for all tastes. I personally love literary fiction, and I was very excited to find Mark Salzman. I overheard other people gushing over their hidden gem finds, too. In the end, I got 8 books, 2 postcards, and 1 tote for less than $26. On a normal day, would I have left with all 8 books? No, but I definitely would have left with 4 of them for almost the same price. Great finds with great prices. Will definitely come back on a regular day, too.

My friend and I were approached by three different employees during our time there. They asked if they could assist us with anything and gave some great recommendations. I was looking for a fantasy book for my teenage brother and the employee was incredibly helpful giving recommendations, finding the "teen book of the month." I didn't even know they had a teen book of the month! The organization of the store was great. The categories and book selections that were specially displayed were especially helpful. For example, in their AAPI stories section I was able to find some really interesting books that I might have not otherwise seen. A selection of their Barnes and Noble specialty book covers that feature some classic works (like Pride and Prejudice and Winnie the Pooh) were on sale for between $8-$12. For such a beautiful high quality book, I would definitely return to purchase one of those at that price. The other books though were a bit pricey. The employees there made this visit extra enjoyable. I don't go to Barnes and Noble very often, but yesterday's visit makes me want to return again soon.

Out of the 2 locations I've been to, this has a better parking lot as well. Since the store is a lot bigger, that means a lot more selection of figures, books, manga, videos and more. In general, I do enjoy this store as it has great value. I found quite a few things that were quite cheaper here than if you go to a large retail store. If you have anything that you may want to get rid of (but works very well or in good shape) you can see if they're willing to it and give you an estimate. The staff are helpful to help you (the best of their ability) to find what you are looking for or need.

It's really disappointing to see how far they've fallen, especially when it comes to their pricing…read more I don't know what their strategy is with used games and movies, but they seriously need a reality check. In some cases, their used prices actually exceed MSRP. For example, they're charging $70 for a loose, boxless copy of Pokémon Legends: Z-A for the Nintendo Switch 2--which is full retail price for a second-hand, incomplete item. Their trade-in values are just as bad. It's not uncommon for them to offer you a tenth of what they plan to resell your item for. I get that the secondhand market relies on profit margins, and that they're banking on uninformed sellers looking for quick cash, but they're doing it at the expense of their loyal, long-time community. At this point, books are the only category where you can still find a decent deal. For anything else, you're much better off using eBay or finding a different store.
