I ordered takeout breakfast from KP's and tried their single pancake filled with chocolate chips and blueberries. I'm very particular about pancakes, but I genuinely enjoyed theirs! The blueberries were fresh, and the chocolate chips had great flavor--something I don't always find elsewhere. The melted butter on top added a nice touch. I also ordered a side of corned beef hash, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. It was quite greasy, could have been cooked to a crispier texture, and lacked flavor. At $7, it didn't feel worth the price. Despite this, I finished my meal and would consider ordering again, especially for the pancake. However, I noticed an issue with ordering through DoorDash: while you can request customizations in the notes (like adding chocolate chips and blueberries), the app doesn't calculate the upcharge, which creates confusion. Depending on the management, they may or may not honor your request. To ensure my order was correct, I called in directly, which worked well. based on the conversation, this has been a frequent customer complaint and you have to call in every time to make sure that you get the right thing. Thankfully, when it arrived, it did come exactly how I wanted. Not a huge thing but definitely something to be noted. My niece ordered pancakes and scrambled eggs from KP's Diner this morning, 6/13/2025, via DoorDash. She felt fine this morning, but, after eating, became seriously ill with what appears to be food poisoning. She is in the UMass Memorial Worcester Emergency Room as I write. She vomited over a dozen times and has sharp abdominal pains. Too weak to move. After checking out the reviews, there are enough people who have written about their undercooked food that I would guess that is exactly what happened to her. This is a normal, healthy, 21-year old with no health issues. Pancakes and eggs shouldn't be risky. Beware. While "the local greasy spoon" may seem homey, the moniker generally translates to an unclean kitchen with questionable food prep. practices. Consider your health before going here. read more

Not impressed with new owners. Second or third time I've been there since new owners took over and food seems to come out overcooked and burnt more often than not. When the lumberjack is supposed to come with two sausage links and instead they give you one burnt sausage patty I'm not impressed. Burnt home fry crumbs, hard as a rock also not impressed. For the amount of money you spent to go out and eat these days you don't wanna waste it on inedible food. So we will not be back. Upon first glimpse, i noticed this was more of a handful of bacon! 12 pcs to be exact! Loved it, crispy and salty! The eggs were not beaters, real eggs. scrambled perfectly and cheese ontop. House chips were not properly par boiled so they were still hard, and lacked seasoning heavily if any! toast was crunchy, buttery, and salty. perfect! Little Miss B and I were out on another daddy/daughter bonding trip last Saturday morning. we pulled up and I started to think that it wasn't such a good idea when I saw the full parking lot. We walked in and the wait was all of a few minutes but my first thought was probably right. I should have kept going. The waitress that greeted us was quite friendly. she gave us the option of taking an open table or waiting just a couple of minutes for a booth. I chose the booth as it is easier to keep my rambunctious three year old under control. Once we sat down, we had a different waitress who didn't seem to be quite as happy with her job. The service was painfully slow. It shouldn't take five minutes for a soda. For that matter, while we were there, she checked on us only once while checking on the table next to us three times. Not that we needed anything, but taking the effort while you're next to us shouldn't have been a big deal. As for the food, again I wasn't very impressed. My fiance had the kielbasa something or other and it was far more than she could eat. The price was a little bit more but I left with half the bacon for the dog. KP's is the only place I have had a meatball omlette. Meatballs, cheese, marinara sauce is delicious on its own, and then all wrapped in an omlette to make it breakfast acceptable, its perfection. Good service, since it's a tiny breakfast spot, and its filled mostly with locals. Though, the servings are so large, you certainly won't need lunch. read more

Read some reviews and they were 50/50. Figured I would give it a shot. Got the lumberjack breakfast. Waitress was nice older lady. Got a large OJ as well. Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and blueberry pancakes (2.75 extra) and breakfast potatoes. The first potatoe I go to picked up with my fork was hard as a rock not even cooked. I tried a couple more not only were they way over cooked, they had a strange taste. Sausage was average breakfast sausage. Bacon was just ok, edible but that's about it. Scrambled eggs were flat and tasteless, salt and pepper made them edible. The pancakes were huge, cooked right but the blueberries were obviously frozen and hadn't been all the way thawed out before they were mixed in as some of them were still frozen. After letting the waitress know about how the potatoes were (politely) there was no compensation on the bill, still had to pay $17.00 for breakfast that had the quality of a $5.00 breakfast. Good food, responsible prices and extremely quick. It is a small, local place that knows how to do breakfast and lunch right. Their breakfast sandwiches and home fries are a favorite here. I believe they have dinner on certain nights, unfortunately we have not tried that yet. With a coup!e of good places in the area, do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. We decided to give KP's a try after driving past it for years. Funny but some of the reviews are pretty good for this place. I don't understand why. The meat lovers omelet was big but big doesn't mean that it's good. It was almost as if the ham was ground up and getting the cheese requested instead of the make believe cheese (ie. American) would have helped. Others have mentioned the overcooked but not crispy home fries that seem to be boiled so suffice it to say that they were less than appetizing. How do make simple pancakes inedible? It seems that all you need to do is open the box of instant pancake mix, add water and overcook. I'm not sure where the chemical taste came from or if it even came from the pancakes themselves. Maybe, it was the cheapest syrup that I've seen served at a restaurant in quite some time. Prices are a bit high for breakfast in this area if you look at the quality of the food. The lunch menu looked reasonable. There were no specials when we were there. Coffee is pretty good and the wait staff is pleasant. read more

The service was the worst I've ever experienced from the moment I stepped in. The coffee is basically water and with the rude waitstaff this was not a pleasant breakfast experience. My company and I felt very unwelcomed and will never go back again. The staff was clearly annoyed at everything that was going on in the restaurant and would get easily agitated if we asked for more napkins for our table. I've been here a handful of times. It's hit or miss when you go. The service can be decent if you get the young girl or slow as molasses if not. We waited five minutes after sitting down to be greeted or asked if we wanted a drink while the older waitress wandered around then eventually cleaned another table off. I ordered a burger medium well the last two times I was there; it came out very rare once and med. Rare the other time. How hard is it to cook a burger? I was pleasantly surprised with K P's Breakfast! I've been a couple times with my son and the food has been consistent. It's typical breakfast diner food, not too greasy though. We took some of the bacon to go. Order the homefries well done if you like them crispy. The iced coffee is really good, especially for a breakfast/diner type place and they actually seem to have a pretty extensive coffee menu. My 3.5 yr old likes to order a side of scrambled eggs and one (giant) pancake. I usually get the veggie omelette. The waitresses are really friendly! read more

KP's service was always good, in fact I was amazed how fast they delivered the food sometimes but as a result they never would cook my eggs correctly... My wife and I tried this place last week. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The service was good, everything was clean, and the prices were reasonable. The food however wasn't great. The home fries were soggy, the bacon was either burnt or just the soggy/fat pieces. My wife's breakfast sandwhich was better, so I can't help but wonder if there were better items on the menu.
