I love it whenever my wife suggests going to Theo's. I know what to expect, consistently good food, and cooked the way I want it. Oh my goodness gosh what a fine in Paxton, Massachusetts of all places! This is a classic no-frills diner that actually has such good quality food. I can't even hardly believe it.! we typically go for the counter service, but it is so big inside for a small place even when it's packed it doesn't feel claustrophobic . Service here is extremely quick and the coffee is piping hot. I enjoy the hearty omelettes and the homemade corn beef hash should not be skipped someone at your table. Should definitely be trying it !There's definitely Portuguese influence on the menu and in the staff, which is so comforting to know they aren't just frying or reheating frozen things, but using a homemade touch to a little bit of everything on the menu! Saturday mornings can get a little crazy so I recommend coming if you can on a weekday before they close at 3 PM having lunch with an old friend or someone you love when you're too lazy and too hungry right away for dinner! read more

Good morning like the best breakfast experience I've ever had . Our waitress this morning name was Lily. The service was amazing. She was very patient and kind. She didn't rush us even though it was the first time and it was super busy. We took one of the last tables in the room of four because we thought friends were going to stay with us, but they had to leave very quickly. Everything was clean and neat and tidy. The food was out of this world. I had their homemade biscuits with homemade sausage, gravy, hashbrowns with onions, as well as a scrambled egg. The scrambled egg is cooked to perfection not to dry not wet just right everything came out hot hot hot like I like it. Did not have to send anything back. My other half had his regular sausages and eggs with toast everything he said was excellent he favorite voted it at night only because he wanted more sausage but he didn't need it anyways I definitely gave mine to 10+ the coffee was hot and fresh and refilled constantly. Even though it was super busy they did not have loud noises. Nobody was screaming crying. Everything was perfect. We are looking forward to coming here again. We were here once before for a friends funeral and just did not realize it was the same town. I will definitely come here again in the future if I'm in the area just to try something else. I didn't expect too much out in the middle of nowhere. However we popped in for lunch. I had the beef gyros. Every part of it was perfect and fresh. Tomatoes onion. Tatziki sauce. Even the pita nicely toasted and the meat was tasty. Also had sweet potteries. Nice and crisp on outside and soft and flavorful inside. And the staff was super nice and helpful. We stopped in for the first time on Mother's day for breakfast. They were fairly busy but kept up with the crowds with ease. Their breakfasts are very basic but they do basic very good and all the food was delicious. It seemed like everyone knew everyone here and it felt very homey. The Eggs Benedict were, well, Eggs Benedict. I'd been there before and was really disappointed in their undercooked home fries and so I thought I'd try their hash browns instead. Mistake. They are mashed potatoes browned on both sides. If you like eating mashed potatoes with your eggs then you'll love it. I do not. When I order hash browns it's what I expect to receive. The place was really busy, that's for sure so we sat in the only open table. I had to move the coat rack and ended up having to sit with my chair over the air conditioner vent and I was frozen the entire time. Time came for the bill and we waited. The bill finally came and it was nearly $23. With tip that should be a little over $27. We waited and waited for the waitress to take our cash and bring change. Instead, we sat there for 10 minutes, put $30 on the table and left. Was it WAY TOO MUCH for a tip? Yep, but we weren't at all interested in waiting for yet another 10 minutes just to get $3 back in change. Bottom line, the food was way overpriced for what you get, the menu is deceiving in that they don't have hash browns, the service was meh, and it took too long to get the check. I should have known better. 2 times eating there and 2 times disappointed. Never again. I wouldn't eat there ever. Overal, breakfast sucked and I felt like I spent $20 more than it was worth. read more

I've now been here twice. Met my son to hike in Paxton and found this nearby for lunch after. After going once I knew we would go back again. I could just taste the Greek omelet with feta cheese as I was driving there. All made fresh to order served with choice of sides. No left overs to take home- just that good! Also, if you're going, don't miss out on the warm pita bread with tzadziki. We get it as a nibble while our food is being cooked and even the server was envious and wanted to sit down and join us for it. Again- none leftover! Service really good. Bathrooms clean. Theo's wins my top locally owned breakfast spot for 2017. It's warm and welcoming. The staff are super friendly. It's clean and neat. The place is bustling but it's a good family vibe. They serve breakfast all day. LOVE the options. I had home fries and a veggie omelette. Delish. Mom had poached eggs or house made hash. She loved it. The eggs were slightly overdone. Mom also enjoyed the potato pancake. A few waitress errors occurred but no biggie. I do wish they served green tea. Otherwise, perfection. Mom and Dad cook in the immaculate kitchen. If you've been to a Central Mass diner before, the only thing about Theo's that might surprise you is that coffee comes with many of the breakfast entrees. I've been living in the area for the better part of 20 years. Naturally, this location has had several owners and operators over that time...finally...GOLD! TIP- If you haven't been here since the new owners took over in the last couple of years you really need to go back. Granted, the previous owner seemed as if he was living in bizarro world where everything is the opposite of how it is in regular world. Breakfast is hot in regular world, breakfast is cold in bizzaro world, etc. The family that owns and staffs Theo's are extremely warm and friendly. Now, I admit, friendly doesn't fill the gaping hole in your Sunday morning belly but it sure goes a long way to put a smile on your face as you wait for your first cup of coffee. Speaking of coffee-----are you kidding me!!?!? The team here is more attentive than a a car salesman on the last day of the month...but I LOVE it. I defy anyone to take more than two healthy sips of coffee and NOT have someone come over and "top you off." The coffee is great and probably because they don't keep it in the pot long enough to let is get stale. It's FRESSSHHHH I tells ya! The breakfast choices are delightfully hipster free! Please Please Please don't try to make breakfast "cool". It's all we have left. Breakfast should be dorky, predictable and delicious. Sat down and ordered at 7:30. Omelette came within 10 minutes hot and fresh! I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. I personally ate the Theos Omelette and was pleasantly impressed. Our weekend spot. We go in and my husband gets the breakfast sandwich each week without fail. I usually get a pancake and a scrambled egg because I can't decide. Their hash browns are different - more like fried mashed potatoes. I had a grilled muffin this morning that I wish I had bought four more of - it tasted like cake. The ladies who work there are so nice and the owners are always cooking in the back smiling and saying hello to us as we come in. Great local feel.
