Mexico City mule

The grilled fish tacos hit the spot! The tortillas were so good and the chipotle aioli was savory. I enjoyed that with a Mexico City mule! Sat at the bar, it was busy but the bartender, TJ was very attentive and upbeat! Feeling pretty good!

Chicken Quesadilla with Black Beans (this was by request, comes without the beans)

We went twice during the week, very quiet since it was only 3PM, the food is really good and the service and staff were perfect. We stayed near the hotel nearby, had the view of the restaurant and saw it does get packed during the dinner hours. Both times we were given great service by two different waitresses. The chips with salsa are to die for, the salsa so fresh and the chips have a savory seasoning to them. You can add beans to your quesadillas, they come out packed full of meats, cheese and flavor! The two taquitos are HUGE! But they are also packed with cheese and shredded chicken, don't be fooled by the burnt ends of the taquito, that's all part of the delicious experience of these taquitos. Overall very authentic and flavorful food, compliments to the chef!

Our sweetheart time in Naples

First I'll start by saying when we return to Naples we are definitely visiting K Rico Mexican Grill again. Naples is gorgeous, clean, classy with amazing views and architect. The restaurant is located across the street from the bay and outdoor sitting is available. The views are amazing and so relaxing to look at. When hub and I first walked in we were blown away with how beautifully decorated this restaurant is. The colors and light fixtures are breathtaking. We were warmly welcomed and decided to sit at the bar to enjoy happy hour. This is where we met bartender Sean. Wow, such an awesome guy with a fantastic personality. We appreciate that Sean went over the happy hour specials. We were impressed with very reasonable prices . Food and cocktails were delicious. So many laughs with Sean and I cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed ourselves. We highly recommend and plan on returning. If we decide to move to Naples we will definitely be loyal customers!

Veggie Fajitas

Fine. But with the higher price point, "fine" isn't good enough for me. The food just didn't stand out and when it did, it was for the wrong reasons. The chips and salsa/queso were probably my favorite part (and the beer lol). Though I do usually prefer a thin tortilla chip to thick ones. I got the veggie fajitas - good quality vegetables, cooked well and good portion but it lacked pizazz! They had almost no spice at all! High points: good location, great vibe and atmosphere inside, top-quality service. The experience was somewhere between three and four stars, but the fact that I have no inclination to return made it three.

Guac and chips

K Rico is a solid Mexican place with an amazing view over the bay if you sit outside. It is located in an upscale mixed use residential and retail plaza. We started with the guacamole and chips which were average. We asked to have it without onions but we were notified that it was already pre-made with onions. I had two a la carte tacos, one chicken and one with shrimp. If you order 2 or more it comes with rice and beans. The shrimp taco was a bit too salty and both were kind of plain. The rice and beans were not made the traditional way, they had some unusual spices. Not to say they weren't good but they were definitely different. The best dish was the chicken quesadilla which was moist and had just the right amount of cheese. The atmosphere, inside and out, was very nice and the server was wonderful.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday and discovered it was happy hour all day. Yay! Had our one year old grandson with us. Our server, Julio, couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating! Gave us some great recommendations and did not try to hurry us as some places do when they see a child in the party. The food and drinks were excellent. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a beautiful view of the water and beautiful weather. When Julio found out we were celebrating my son's birthday, he brought him a delicious dessert that was complimentary. I am sure it gets busier in the season, but I can't wait to go back.

Are dogs allowed in outdoor area?

I do remember noticing a few small dogs in the outside patio area. Not sure if they are welcomed or that staff chose to ignore. I suggest you give them a quick call. P.S. my lunch experience was much more enjoyable than dinner.

From the moment we walked in, the hostesses and manager made us feel welcome and had us seated right away. Our server, Angel, was fantastic. He walked us through the menu, explained how many of the dishes were prepared, and made thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling pushy. We started with the octopus and fresh focaccia with honey. The octopus was exceptional--easily one of the best I've had and on par with dishes I've enjoyed at Michelin-starred and James Beard-recognized restaurants. We also shared the beet and goat cheese salad, followed by the local snapper and the ribeye cap topped with lobster claw and tail in chimichurri. Every dish was beautifully prepared and showcased the quality of the ingredients. The cocktails were well balanced (not overloaded with ice), and the Thyme on Thyme is an easy recommendation if you're looking for something light and refreshing. The wine list paired nicely with the meal as well. Watching the sunset over the water while listening to music drifting across the park made the evening even more memorable. Thanks to Angel and the kitchen for such an outstanding experience. Seventh South has earned a spot on our regular rotation whenever we're in Naples.

Our server Mike, did an excellent job taking care of us. We started off with a couple cocktails. I had an Old Fashioned and my wife had the Not Bogged Down. For dinner I had the Chorizo Encrusted Red Snapper and my wife had one of the specials which was the Tripletail. She said it was the best seafood dish she has ever had. For dessert, we split the special Crème Brûlée topped with diced fruit. We enjoyed the dessert so much, we purchased one for a sweet family of four sitting next to us. Our server Mike and the owner, Barry, helped make that happen and we appreciate it.

Finally, my 30 plus member cigar club, from the Venice FL area decided to make a road trip to Naples, specifically to visit The Burn. Twelve of us made a caravan and left Venice, driving to Naples. We arrived and had no trouble finding nearby parking for all of our vehicles. After parking we entered the lounge finding it to be quite large, with a nice bar, humidor and an outside patio too. We entered the humidor and found a staffer who offered suggestions, cut our cigars and even offered to light them for us. We paid him right there and stuffed his tip jar - that was awesome service. We then gathered in the main room of the lounge and began our cigar tasting while enjoying a few Old Fashion whiskey drinks. Then six of us wandered out to the patio and grabbed a nice large table. The bartenders were fast and service was okay. The servers were awesome, prompt and very attentive to our tables - efficient is a great description. We stayed until about 6 PM and then headed home. It was a very enjoyable adventure. I understand Rocky actually has a birthday there on March 10, 2026. Hopefully I can attend.

The cesar salad is big and there is a lot of cheese. Yummy. It is properly dressed. Croutons are out of the box. The triggerfish stole the show. My first bite set off fireworks in my mouth. The fries magically remained crispy despite soaking up the sauce. That was brilliant to add fries to the dish. I had the watermelon spicy tequila drink and that didn't disappoint either. Service started a little slowly--we didn't meet our server for about 15 minutes, although another team member quickly brought us water and drinks. Once our server arrived, he was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. It seemed like he may have been covering several tables that evening, so we completely understood. Our meal ended up taking about 90 minutes after reservation, which was longer than we expected for a quick dinner. We shared two dozen oysters, king crab legs, the miso butterfish, and cocktail.. The oysters were fresh, though we had slightly higher expectations. The king crab was easily the standout of the meal. The miso butterfish was well prepared but a bit heavy on the sauce--I think a touch of acidity and a side of vegetables would have balanced it nicely, something to consider. Between the waterfront breeze, friendly hosts, and our server's hospitality, we still had an enjoyable evening. It may have simply been a busy night for the service team. We'd gladly give Syren another try.
