Great customer service and super fast turnaround. They had my repairs done in a day and walked me through everything (since we haven't had a van before). Super nice folks. They replaced our waste dump valves, winterized and helped with the hot water heater. We'll be back for more repairs over winter since their part and labor rates are fair. They have a huge parts selection and can get anything else they don't have onsite. They can also do more complex fiberglass repair but hopefully won't need that anytime soon. They also have onsite storage for $2/foot apparently Pittsburgh doesn't have many RV places, so this one is worth the short trip over. read more

Had a tire blow out on our Class A motor home. It caused damage underneath and to the rear entry door/step area. K RV repaired the damage inside and out; plus made sure safety items were added to prevent future problems. The repairs were done quickly and the cost was fair. Everything was done the first time, unlike other large nationwide dealers that can't get it right even after 4 return trips. I am glad we found K RV for our repairs and will tell all our RV friends and family that we found a place with quality workmanship, reasonable pricing and the repairs are completed with only one trip. read more

Horrible had an RV that needed the propane tank fixed which they were supposed to have done before... They never called to tell us the repair was done so they put it in their lot. When we finally called to see when it would be done because we wanted to use it they said it was done but they never even looked at the propane tank... Which could've been very dangerous however they said that it was vandalized well in their lot... Catalytic converter was cut off... They would not except responsibility they said it was not their problem very very poor service please do not use your RV will come back destroyed read more

They had our travel trailer for 3 days, did not call with a status, so I called them. They said the trailer would be ready that day. When we went to pick it up, it was not done and gave us a hard time. We took our trailer and went elsewhere. Poor service, would not recommend any to use them. read more

Larry absolutely ruined our furnace. It would have been cheaper to buy a new furnace than deal with his shotty work. Lesson learned.

I have a truck camper that was so badly damaged that I didn't think it could be moved from the storage area to be repaired. The insurance company found KRV for me. They were the only RV repair company that offered to, or even could, move the camper from Pittsburgh to their repair facility. They did a fantastic job on the complex repair. In addition, they repaired a portion of the floor that had rotted, for which they charged a very reasonable price. I was very pleased with the jobs they did. Today I drove under a low underpass and did some significant damage to the roof, as well as what seems to be some other structural damage to the frame. Tomorrow I'll drive out to Jeanette, without hesitation for another major repair. I will update this review when I get the camper back, hopefully as competently fixed as the first time. Nope. Totaled. THE KVR people were sympathetic but there was nothing they could do. If and when we get another, we will count on them.for service and repairs. read more

Thiefs. This place should be investigated they are so crooked. I am kicking myself for not reading the other reviews before renting from them because I had the EXACT same experience. Scheduled the van Cash deposit of $350. Rented the van (DVD player did not work) Drove the van (note that there contracts are not unlimited mileage) Washed and swept out the van Brought the van back to have $140 deducted from my deposit. Argued with the slack-jawed yokel - but he wasn't budging and he had my $350! Avoid this place. The van rental is a front to feed business to their overpriced detail shop. Saw the other negative review of these guys, so thought I'd volunteer my own opinion. Never used their rental service, but I trust these guys with my RV service work. RV work isn't cheap, but the guys over at Valero's are inflexible and rude. The workers at K are nice and willing to work with your schedule. They do really quality work and have done some complex jobs for me (replacing generator components, patching delamination, etc.). I'm going back there this week for an inspection. read more

Beware. They charged us 4K to repair leaking roof and replace floor in RV. When picked it up there was a huge puddle of water on the new floor. They insisted the previous rain storm had been a fluke and roof was fixed. Not. Rains pours in everytime it rains and they refused to refund or repair. We were ripped off $4K. I bought an RV as is from them, but I asked the owner REPEATEDLY if there was anything I needed to know, so that I could fix it. I live in it for work which takes me and my daughter around the country but we are low income. He repeatedly said that we were good to go, knowing exactly what we would be doing with the vehicle. When I got to my first job site and tried to use the shower I found out quickly that the washers in the wall were bad (and weren't being made anymore) so I had to run all over to find replacement parts. Luckily that was an easy fix. Apparently the back leaf spring is broken but never noticed until an oil change place pointed it out to me. The fridge never worked quite right, and now it is looking like a $1000+ repair, to replace, which is likely what will have to happen. Someone tucked in the valve stems to the duallies so I had to have that replaced while we were in Canada. I did away with the black tank system and put in a composting toilet, cause I kept having issues with the tank. There was water damage previously and I have to assume that they properly fixed the roof, but I know that they didn't fix the outside damage...this wouldn't be a problem except that when I went back in to buy the caulking that they used they owner hid from me. Claimed that they had 'winter hours' even though they weren't posted, and the second time he actually hid. I would take the RV back to them to have the repairs done, but I don't trust them as far as I could throw him. We will wait until we are at our next stop before we have it repaired. Although the RV that we rented for 2 nights for a PSU game was very nice and over priced, when we got back we were granted by a shocker. At first you give the company a $750 deposit well I have news for you don't expect to get that back! Then when you slave on a Sunday to try and clean the RV don't even bother because regardless they charge you! Not only will they charge you but the Owner gets right in your face and cusses you out about how he thinks its in bad shape, swearing profusely using the F-word and other derogatory words to ridicule me. My husband and I bought a motorhome from K rentals , upon taking it back a few days later to have a light repaired , the owner took us in another camper and said we could take this one home and try it and if we couldn't use it bring it back, ( my husband and I both have health issues) and weren't sure this trailer was going to work for us ! After bringing it home we discovered we couldn't make the bed or even reach the closets! we took the camper back and wanted the original camper we had bought . This is when the owner cursed me out , ordered me off his property and refused to give us the original camper back! we paid 80,000 for a camper we cannot even use !!! they are very crooked when it comes to paper work, even calling my insurance company asking for insurance numbers to push the title through on a camper we did not want !!! I only wish I would have read these reviews before we did business with these crooks !!!! If you too have been ripped off by these people please contact me , this needs to stop!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I only wish it were possible to give less than one star. Do your homework on these guys. Call the Better Business Bureau. They have had an F rating for a long time. Read their online reviews (aside from the ones they write for themselves). They are absolute crooks who systematically defraud people of their security deposit. They charged me for every item on their little list (e.g. $10 for microwave cleaning) including things I never used like $35 for the shower. I had the RV for three days and returned it and sparkling condition after spending three hours cleaning it. I've run in RVs many times before from others and always got my security deposit back. Go anyplace else but these guys. Look closely at what you're signing re: security deposit: $75 to "debug" an additional charge to wash the vehicle? Over and over there are numerous credible complaints about these guys. Again, do your homework. My experience with them is beyond belief. When I questioned their withholding nearly my entire security deposit, I took out my phone to videotape the condition of the RV for a complaint, the owner became physically intimidating with me. He got inches from my face asking me if I had a problem. I couldn't believe it. I called the sheriffs office and the Better Business Bureau and they told me that they have had similar complaints but because no crime was committed I would have to take them to court. That's what these crooks are banking on. Again, do your homework. Go someplace else. read more

I rented a motor home for a week. We visited them during the planning of our trip and they showed us multiple models before we reserved a vehicle. Our RV was ready to go on pick-up and we got a full orientation / explanation of all systems. The RV was new (7K miles on the odometer) and we had no problems. The fees and mileage allowances were clearly defined in the contract. We cleaned the vehicle before returning and received a full refund of our deposit. I don't have any hesitation to rent from them again. read more

I would like to give this business no stars. I rented a van off them for a week. When I pick it up the man who went over it with me was very rude to me. We had no problems with the van until I brought it back. He was rude to me again and he said I damage the van. I saw no damage on the undercarriage of the front bumper. He charge me $250 for that I was also was charge for cleaning fees. Even thou I told them that I cleaned the van twice and it wasn't clean enough. So to addition to paying to rent the van I also lost my deposit of $500. And they charge me another $60. Don't ever rent buy or get anything from this business. They will rip you off. read more

WE WILL NEVER RENT FROM HIM AGAIN OR SUGGEST HIM TO ANYONE ELSE. BEWARE OF EXTRA FEES. It started out great but ended horribly. We rented an 11 passenger van for a week to take our team to the youth track championships in Jacksonville, Fl. The people behind the counter was awesome. The van was great. The kids medaled in their events. And we came back safely. My wife and I vacuumed and washed the van, as their policy states. However, when we returned the van, we were charged an additional $90. When I asked why we were being charged the owner said that we left the vehicle dirty. I asked him to show me and he became belligerent and disrespectful. He then showed me small pieces of grass that was on the 1 floor mat, a kernel of popcorn and a small piece of paper on the floor, smudges on the inside windows, and dust in the storage area. I then asked if I could take the van down the street and that's when he became belligerent, yelling, putting his hands in my face. It became a very volatile situation. I asked him to get his hands out of my face and he kept going. My wife told me to let it go, so I did. It certainly did not have to go that far, and we definitely shouldn't have been charged $90 for a piece of paper and dust. The owner's actions, attitude, and behavior was less than professional and downright atrocious. His staff is great but he is not. I will never rent from him again or in good conscious suggest him to anyone else. read more

Looking for a used motorhome and K-Rentals sight popped up and reminded me of the awful experience I had with them. I took my ill mother on a cross country trip to see her sister. I rented a class c home that was late coming back from the previous renter. It was rented for a football game and came back is such a condition it took several hours of me waiting for them to get it clean. I dealt with the dad when I was renting and doing my pretrip inspection. Upon returning the motor home I was given to the son and he tried charge me for things that had been glanced over at the pretrip inspection as normal wear and tear. The treated me so poorly the next year mother was still able to travel so I went to state college to rent from freedom rv. That experience was so great I bought my own home. I have had it 6 years and I am looking to get a newer one now and my search brought back the bad memory of k rental. So I thought I would worn others of the very cocky and fair k rental read more
