I'll start my review with the bottom line: hiring K.Sage was probably the best money we spent with regards to our wedding. The value was unreal. Christine was our lead coordinator, and she did a fantastic job of managing all our vendors, helping us plan the timeline, talking through all our ideas, and overall just making us feel at ease that everything was going to come together perfectly. When May 18th finally came, she was right: we were able to just relax, take it all in, and enjoy ourselves (while her army of helpers helped make everything happen!) Do not underestimate how important a day of/month of coordinator is. Like I said, out of all the time and money we put into our the wedding, one of the last things I'd have cut is K.Sage. Kelsey, I do appreciate the time that you took to respond to my review. I also appreciate your indication that you feel that feedback is a chance for growth. This is not intended to be an updated review, but rather a final piece to the conversation begun on my review. During our initial call, you did state that you were generally not available on weekends and also agreed to send dates for our initial walk-through in advance of the 8 weeks to accommodate this; something which, unfortunately, did not occur. During this same call, you explained to us that you make a point of coordinating one wedding per weekend to ensure that we would have your full attention. You also remarked that we were the first who had booked for that month. In spite of this, you booked another wedding for the Saturday of our wedding weekend-- creating the conflict over the rehearsal. In spite of these two facts, yes, you did attend those two meetings after significant back and forth via email. Additionally, for your future clients, I recommend that you approach any of the following over payment issues before approaching the bride and groom on the dance floor: the groom's mother, the bride's mother, the bride's older brother, anyone in the wedding party. This will help you to have a 3rd option in the future. Overall, Kelsey, I do believe that you are likely capable of successfully assisting some in their wedding ventures. Kelsey and her team were our SAVIORS on our wedding day. Fortunately, the process with her actually starts waaaay before that. We met and booked Kelsey over a year out from our wedding because we were so impressed with her consultation phone call where she outlined everything she and her team do for their clients. She kept us organized with spreadsheets, deadlines, and checklists which made our lives a whole lot easier. Even as a person who is very organized, the reality is most brides & grooms have never planned a wedding before, so there is no way we would know exactly how to be organized. Kelsey and her team do. The day of our wedding was FLAWLESS. She was on top of our vendors (already coordinating with them weeks out), her team kept the wedding parties on schedule and out of eyesight, and all the decor/placement/timing was perfection. During the wedding there was always a drink in our hands, we had protection while we were eating (one of her assistants buffered while we ate!), and then at the end of the wedding, we did not have to lift a finger! This is not only because Kelsey and her team worked super hard the day of, but is also owed to the incredible amount of preparation and organization she walks through with you weeks beforehand. K. Sage Events was recommended to me by a classmate I went to school with and I'm so glad they were! My husband and I got married April 10, 2016. My venue, The Estate on Second in Downtown Santa Ana, required a day of coordinator. I emailed four or five coordinators that were recommended to me. I chose K. Sage Events because they emailed back quickly, set up a phone meeting the same day and were in my price range. I picked the "Day of Package" which includes organizational templates, preferred vendors, a venue walk through, a meeting to create the timeline, coordination of all vendors, coordination at the rehearsal, and of course the day of. Kelsey made it clear that we had open communication as the wedding got closer. I was able to email, call or text her which was great to quickly shoot ideas back and forth. We used a florist, and a cinematographer from her vendor list who we absolutely loved, and she even found the perfect place for us to have our rehearsal dinner. She really knew my style and was able to recommend things that were perfect for our wedding! The day of, Kelsey and her 4 assistants set up all of our decorations, helped with guests and vendors, handed out tips, and even packed my dads truck with our decorations so all my family had to do was enjoy the day. Her assistants were very professional. The decor was exactly like I envisioned it. The wedding went so smoothly and I've gotten so many compliments and even some letters telling me how nice it was!
