Oh, NO!! They didn't have my favorite low calorie after dinner snack. I immediately found a nearby store, Prospect Market that had my favorites. I scheduled an order for the next morning. The delivery was prompt & accurate. So when my son gave me the bad news that we would run out of my favorite coffee I decided to visit Prospect Market & search for something similar. I had previously seen the nicely done storefront on Prospect Park W in the midst of the main shopping & eatery area in Windsor Terrace. So I knew it was close & had street parking available. The clean, long & wide aisled market featured a plethora of my favorites. It was similar to a market I had shopped in often when my son lived in Carroll Gardens. On a visit to the old neighborhood I learned that market had been acquired by Prospect Market. I'm not one to browse aisles. So after my son directed me to the coffee section, I immediately started searching for caramel infused beans. There were two choices. I went with my son's recommendation, which was a brand based in Queens. It was excellent. The right coffee is the perfect way to begin my day. Prospect Market solved my coffee emergency. I'll return often when I'm visiting my son. Prospect Market has a great selection of my favorites.

This store is spacious with a (mostly) very easy to navigate layout. I've only been 2 or 3 times when it's pretty packed and even then it was still not difficult to get around. The store is usually well stocked and has great variety but randomly will be out of pretty basic poultry like ground turkey or chicken thighs. That's the good. Now my issues: the cashiers can't bag for crap and often just won't. I'm not asking for Trader Joe's level of packing organization, but multiple times a cashier has put milk or soda cans ON TOP OF EGGS!!! WHAT?! Or put heavy cans on delicate produce. They'll pack bags with no consideration for weight or thought about how the customer is supposed to get these bags home. I'm happy to pay for extra bags, and there's no reason I should have one precariously packed 60 pound bag or two bags one 50 pounds the other 3 pounds. There's no logic going into it. And that's if you buy bags. If you bring your own bag, oh you're packing everything yourself. Even if you bought $200 worth of groceries it's your job to put them all on the conveyor belt pay and then run over and hurriedly pack the bags as they shove your items to the end of the scanner belt all willy nilly. And then frown at you for being in the way when there's another customer behind you. And look, I don't really blame them. I don't think they were trained how to do anything but scan. And I desperately think leadership needs to rethink that practice to improve overall customer experience. Even worse than the bagging, I've been racially profiled here. I was using self checkout for like 5 items and a woman ran over to me and said, "I saw you! You didn't scan that as organic! That's organic!" I replied, "it's not organic. And showed her the sticker." She pushed me out of the way and rescanned it and then was like, "Fine." She didn't say sorry or my mistake she just aggressively accused me of stealing and then went about her day. Terrible customer service from security. I've never had these issues at the 33 Lincoln Road Lincoln Market, which although smaller, is such a well-run store. I'm hoping this grocery store steps it up, but for now it's just fine. Spacious. Clean. Pricey. Troubling Customer Service.

It's a good choice for coffee, snacks, but also fennel, vegan food, kimchi, or eucalyptus cuttings (and, like many small grocery stores, some things are better deals than others). Importantly for the neighborhood, Bad Wife also sell live plants and flowers at very reasonable prices. In the spring and summer, they'll often have flowering plants available. I've always had great interactions with the staff here, and am a fan of the place.

Mrs. Lee refused to accept the return. She referred to a sign that read, plants are not returnable. That particular sign was displayed at at the back of the plant section, on a high shelf. Interestingly enough, at the cash register, there is a sign that states, "Refund policy provided within 2 days receipt." It is mandatory for stores to visibly display their return policy at the cash register. 'The Bad Wife' failed to do so. Mrs. Lee's attitude was rude and dismissive despite being told return policies must be clearly visible by the cash register.

Trying to maneuver around carts, boxes, and staff slows everything down and turns a quick trip into a much longer and more stressful experience. I completely understand that restocking and cleaning are essential, but it would make a huge difference if more of this work could be scheduled during slower hours--like early mornings or later at night--rather than right after work when many customers are trying to shop efficiently on their way home. One example: I bought frozen semites several times at a price of $7.99. When I came back a couple of days later to buy this product again, the price was already $ 10.99. How is this possible? To raise the price by $ 3 in one day!!! I do my main shopping at Whole Foods, but even there, where most of the products are organic, shopping is cheaper for me. Also, I had to return products a couple of times because they were expired or spoiled.
