An Unforgettable Omakase Experience!…read more We celebrated the 4th of July with an incredible omakase dinner at Masaki, and it exceeded every expectation. Every course was beautifully presented, impeccably fresh, and perfectly balanced. From the delicate Red Sea Bream and buttery Scallop to the luxurious Toro with Caviar, Sweet Shrimp with Uni, and the unforgettable Eel with Foie Gras, each bite was a masterpiece. What truly elevated the evening was Michael, our sushi chef. He was warm, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable. He took the time to explain every course, the origin of the fish, the flavors, and the best way to enjoy each piece. His passion for his craft was evident, and his attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. Dining at the sushi bar gave us a front-row seat to watch the artistry behind every piece. The quality of the ingredients, the precision of the preparation, and the genuine hospitality made this one of the finest omakase experiences we've ever had. Thank you, Michael, and the entire Masaki team, for making our holiday celebration so special. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable evening!

There are lots of servers so you never feel like you're waiting. The food is delicious and there's a mix of platters and smaller plates so you can try a bit of everything. The fish is so fresh. The tempura got mixed reviews from our party. Some of us loved the thick breading and others weren't a fan. The tempura sauce is amazing. There is an omakase option, which we haven't tried but would like to one day.

We had a reservation and were seated right away. The service was good, and the seating was comfortable. The restaurant filled up while we were eating, which shows how popular it is. I tried their sushi for the first time and ordered the keizen don bowl. The raw fish was extremely fresh, the assortment was excellent, and the special tea-flavored seasoned rice added a unique touch. The portion was generous, and I left satisfied. We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and King Crab Ikura Don over cold tochucha noodles. I thought the ramen was just mediocre and the chashu was very hard to chew. The noodles was pretty good. There was a good amount of ikura, king crab, and avocado included. I originally wanted the Sashimi Set but they didn't have uni that day. They would have just subbed it with something else so I didn't think it was worth the $55. I also tried the Tochucha Yuzu Lemonade which was good but not amazing. I didn't know what all the hype was over tochucha because it wasn't very memorable for me. Tonkotsu Ramen 6/10 King Crab Ikura Don 8/10 Tochucha Yuzu Lemonade 7/10

This is a place that always satisfies me with its savory. It is a fusion of Japanese, Korean and American. The MAZESOBA is always al-dente. When you crack the egg yolk and allow the noodles to immerse with it along with the sauce. The favor and texture is unforgettable. My favorite is curry MAZESOBA. They provide you with vinegar on the side for you to adjust the spicy level. After you finish the noodle, put that bowl of rice so you may consume all the wonderful sauce inside the bowl. How can you resist to not coming to here again and again. I also just realized that have a long beer list of Asian draught, and it's 4 bottles for the price of 3. How nice is that? Huh!. The service here is kind of snow. I came here on a quiet Sunday and two waitress seems busying at something which left my wife and I waited at the door. Oh! They have a patio behind the dining hall. So those two waitress were actually working hard back and forth the whole restaurant. I guess hiring more people would made the experience more delightful. Well... I will come back definitely for sure. Calvin

It shines as both an exceptional izakaya and a destination for uniquely crafted ramen. This isn't your standard sushi-and-teriyaki spot. The izakaya menu is full of inventive small plates you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. I can't recommend the yakitori, tuna tacos, Chicken bun, Nike Sobu and chicken wings enough. Each one is a flavorful, expertly prepared start to the meal. But the real showstopper is their signature mazemen. This broth-less ramen is a revelation, tossing perfectly cooked noodles in a rich, savory sauce that clings to every strand. I asked ofit could be made without pork and the obliged makingnit with chicken instead. The depth of flavor is mind-blowing and offers a completely different ramen experience I hadn't encountered before. If you find yourself anywhere near Northern Boulevard in Queens, this place is an absolute must-visit. Prepare for your expectations of Japanese casual dining to be delightfully upended, with excellent service to boot.

It is $165 for a 13 course - it also comes with appetizer and dessert as well. The place is located inside Siam Thai - behind a bookshelf, the vibes are immaculate back there. The chief was so friendly and took his time to explain each dish to us and also took time to chat with us which I thought was really nice especially since I have mainly been to "fast casual" omakase locations recently where they don't really chat with you. There was a good variety of appetizers, fish and dessert. The appetizer options were so unique and the platting was so pretty. The fish options were also very plentiful and I liked the topping that they put on top of each one, the rich was not as warm and soft as I would usually like it but they paired well with the fish. The portion sizes were also pretty large which I thought was nice especially since we were paying about $165 a person. If you are getting sake, they do let you sample the sake before opening the whole bottle. The presentation of the opened sake was also so fancy. Overall - if you want a more traditional omakase experience, I highly recommend checking this place out. The vibes are immaculate and you will have a good time chatting with the chef while enjoying your food!

Service did match up to the price tag and we were treated well but the fish quality was very mediocre. Some pieces were overly warm and did not taste that fresh. The rice was often falling apart. There were the basic chutoro, salmon, otoro fish but no other fish was unique. There were only 13 courses and it felt that they were reusing ingredients because we had uni and caviar multiple times. One dish was uni, caviar, and white rice which felt like a cop out considering uni was a separate course. I did not need uni 3/13 courses provided as someone who enjoys uni. This place is comparative to those $60-70 omakase but not reflective of $165. I went to Shota Omakase for $195 and the fish quality and selection were more diverse.

I think this is different from the vibes of an old school dim sum restaurant but honestly a great way to satisfy your cravings/enjoy it with a more modern vibe. I love that there's a little water dispenser with cold and hot water for dine-in. Little plates for people who do family stye. Our party ordered a variety of items. My favorite was the crispy chicken wings. Warm and flavorful. That bit of crisp on the outside was just enough to contrast the tender chicken flesh. The pork crab soup dumplings are a generous portion with plenty of broth on the inside. Honestly had so much flavor on its own that you don't even need the black vinegar. The fried HK shrimp dumplings were pretty good. Delicious plump shrimp but the fried dough didn't offer much. I probably would just stick to my usual har goes. DO NOT order anything from the "Special Summer Menu." It is essentially a bowl of tepid noodles slathered with some horrible commercial sauce and a few vegetables. You can do better at literally any other Chinese take out place in the area for less money. Mine was with some awful peanut sauce that made the dish inedible. These items should not appear on the menu. Also had the greasy scallion pancakes which were served with some sort of indistinguishable sauce (not soy, closer to hoisin, which is not typical). Again, could not finish as they were beyond the grease factor. I wanted to order the vegetable dumplings, which were reliably good, but for some reason did not appear on their automated menu system. Finally, as a Caucasian customer I always enjoy having the racist staff bring me a plastic fork instead of chopsticks. It is the final insult to a mediocre experience.
