Tip suggested after taxes not before. It's supposed to be before.

Monday Night Specialty drinks but not with Food special. Lost the drink. Lost the tip when they suggested tips included tax. Supposed to be before tax. Upon being sent home with leftovere no soy sauce and or raddish or ginger for 80 bucks? Loosing a customer next.

The food was severely under seasoned , had no flavor , steak was tough, and rice was undercooked. Google : Bushmeat that describes how they cooked the steak. The spicy Kami roll filling was decent but I don't understand why they put brown rice on the outside of it when that wasn't requested. The vegetable gyoza were bland and the shishito peppers had an undesirable sauce placed on it. They put more effort into the appearance of their restaurant vs. the service. Asked for steak sauce to be brought out with the meal and they forgot about it. I reminded them halfway through the meal since that's when they finally made their way back to our table to check on us and brought it when I was asking for the check. I will not return to this location. It's been a very long time since I had a bad restaurant experience like this.

I love mito to death, loyal customer, food is always delicious. However, the last two times that I went i have gotten terrible food poisoning. Food was good, but I could barely make it home to use the restroom and was sick for hours! I thought it could just be my sensitive stomach, but my boyfriend ended up dying on the toilet as well. Such a shame because mito was our go to spot for so long, but i never want to be sick like that again. Beware!!! I wouldn't roll the dice if i were you.

Came here for the Brunch special on Saturday afternoon in a group of 4. The ambiance is nice and clean. The brunch special is an amazing deal! The portion sizes were just right and the wonton soup wasn't salty at all (very good), triple salmon roll was very good and the fried banana dessert was also very flavorful and tasty! The servers were nice and the bathrooms were also very clean.

Sushi rolls vary each time we order sometimes it's great sometimes ok. Sauce always ends up on the bottom of the tray instead of in the roll. Sashimi pizza salmon - 8/10 it has crispy thin crust and lots of topping and sauces. Definitely taste the salmon and it's good. Special rolls: Fire Island-8/10 -slightly spicy red sauce - tastes like pasta with fried shrimp American dream -8/10- smooth mix of tempura and crab Triple three - 8/10. Fresh soft fish. Light refreshing roll Golden State - 7/10 - sweet, sour, and savory flavors combined into one Volcano- 7- crispy outside with cream and sauce can't really taste fish Sex on the beach - 7/10. Balanced roll but needs sauce. Mango Hawaii -7/10- it ranges between 7 and 9 depending on the sweetness of the fruit and the freshness of the fish. Joker 7/10. White fish is ok , the jalapeno is good. The spicy red sauce is a little weird in here.

I absolutely loved every flavor of my meal! I went during restaurant week on August 6, 2025. I will definitely come back here for more delicious bites! The bass was a lovely portion! It went well with the pea sauce. I love the tuna bites. The deserts were outstanding. This is a perfect spot for any meetup. Business, friends. Birthdays, etc. Parking lot is available.

Their lunch special is SO WORTH IT. My mom and I came on a Thursday afternoon and were seated right away. Their sushi lunch specials come with a soup/salad, appetizer, and entree. For $19, it comes with a decent amount of food. The fish is fresh and they don't skimp on it. Everything comes on one plate so you can choose what you want to indulge in first. We had the Crispy Lobster Roll and Sex on the Beach Roll. The Crispy Lobster was presented differently than I expected and I was also surprised that they topped every piece with more lobster meat--super filling and worth it! The Sex on the Beach was wrapped with a pink soy paper rather than seaweed (just a heads up) and was a nice fresh complement to the heavier Crispy Lobster. Mito's ambiance is comparable to restaurants in the city. Super bright, decor is beautiful, and I can see it being dim and moody in the evening. Definitely returning here!

The food was amazing, the service was great, very nice waiters, and everything around us felt really cool. There was an actual boat hanging above us and everything was so clean

My 4 stars are strictly for the decor and the waitstaff here. As for the food, there is some improvement needed. More in the pics

Had the 3 course Prix Fixe and it was a great value. My sea bass entree was fresh and quite a large portion. I enjoyed the ambiance which was quaint and the decor is stunning. Came here with two other people and they also enjoyed their meals. I'm happy to have this local gem

It's hard to find a good consistent sushi place in the bayside area and I'm happy to always stick to Mito. Everything is so flavorful, even the spicy edamame. Love coming here

Love the food, the space and the friendly stuff at Mito Bayside. I love the Dragon roll in this restaurant, the clam shouter and the fried rice! We also order Wagyu beef dumplings and they were so delicious.

I recently came across Mito, located in bay terrace. I never paid any attention to it until recently when I saw the menu on Uber eats. I have been ordering their sushi non stop. Their spicy salmon usually has crunch and I don't like l crunch, so I always call in to request no crunch. I'm so happy with their sushi. Presentation is nice and addicting.

An Unforgettable Omakase Experience!…read more We celebrated the 4th of July with an incredible omakase dinner at Masaki, and it exceeded every expectation. Every course was beautifully presented, impeccably fresh, and perfectly balanced. From the delicate Red Sea Bream and buttery Scallop to the luxurious Toro with Caviar, Sweet Shrimp with Uni, and the unforgettable Eel with Foie Gras, each bite was a masterpiece. What truly elevated the evening was Michael, our sushi chef. He was warm, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable. He took the time to explain every course, the origin of the fish, the flavors, and the best way to enjoy each piece. His passion for his craft was evident, and his attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. Dining at the sushi bar gave us a front-row seat to watch the artistry behind every piece. The quality of the ingredients, the precision of the preparation, and the genuine hospitality made this one of the finest omakase experiences we've ever had. Thank you, Michael, and the entire Masaki team, for making our holiday celebration so special. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable evening!

I honestly wasn't expecting much but the service based solely for the Omakase blew me away. The Omakase bar was in the back of the restaurant hidden away. The space was very open and the ambience was chic. This is a great place for date night, mommy night out, or group hangouts as they have private rooms too. Every piece tasted very fresh and were quite unique. The steam silky egg appetizer with crabmeat and fish roe was simple yet delicious. One of the dishes was an uni toro roll that was placed on top of our hands and was sprayed with edible gold glitter on us. That was a surprise and it was cute. And that uni just melts in your mouth. We had this matcha pudding with I think had an Oreo sprinkle in it was fabulous. They also surprised us with an extra dessert cause it was all 3 of our birthdays. Very enjoyable experience. Our sushi chef was very accommodating and made our birthday dinner memorable. We originally started out with the summer special of $78pp for a 12 course meal and decided to upgrade to the 14 course meal for $98pp. There was an option for a 17 course meal for $138pp but we were very full towards the end. They also had this $30 lunch and $60 dinner 3 course meal set for restaurant week. My friend's mom wasn't a fan of raw stuff so she ordered the Chilean sea bass with risotto and she wasn't a huge fan of it. The fish was a tad overcooked and the overall presentation of the dish looked more of a Chinese fusion dish. The risotto had that cheesy flavor but the presentation with the Bok Choy and the risotto looked more like fried rice and was confusing. I would stick with the omakase, which this place is known for.

Let me backtrack. My wife and I arrived exactly at 12:06 PM on a weekday. The staff greeted us warmly, the place was clean and organized just like I remembered, and yes, they have high chairs for the little ones. Unfortunately, the food was a different story. Usually with AYCE, there's at least one or two dishes that make you think, "Yep, I'm going back for this." Here, nothing really stood out as delicious. They have some interesting creations, including sushi made with pesto rice, and many rolls have a Western-fusion twist. Creative? Definitely. Delicious? Not quite there for me. The hot food was okay, although some of the fried items were aggressively salty. I thought, "Let me cleanse my palate with some warm miso soup." NOPE. That was salty too. The bulgogi and kalbi were also noticeably on the sweeter side. The Korean-style wings had soggy skin. Then came the raw oyster. It did not taste fresh at all. I took half a bite, swallowed some, and immediately knew something was wrong. I had to spit out the rest. The unfreshness hit me faster than a New Yorker rushing for the subway. I spent the next hour praying I wouldn't get KO'd in the bathroom. Unfortunately, prayer was not answered. And this was my first meal of the day, so I'm pretty confident it wasn't anything else I ate beforehand. We tried to end lunch on a sweet note with the strawberry ice cream. Sadly, it tasted very artificial. At this point, I was just looking for something, ANYTHING, to redeem the meal. And the winner of the day was... The GREEN TEA in a tea bag. Seriously. That was the thing I genuinely enjoyed the most. I really wanted to love this revisit, but between the underwhelming food and the oyster experience that sent me on an unexpected bathroom adventure, I'm giving Mizumi 2 stars. Maybe it was just an off day, but I'm not sure my stomach is brave enough for a sequel.
