Good park for the area and as a last resort when larger dog parks are closed due to weather. Want to leave a better review but it's tough. Smaller than others, Bonnie Wenk or the one Barkyard in Allen. Many treasures left by furry friends because no on picks up after their dogs. So it's pretty filthy and you need to watch your steps and your dogs paws. Sad, you would think in McKinney it's better kept up by residents and neighbors but it seems like there's a lack of interest in keeping this park clean. read more

I generally take my pup to the Allen dog park, however I learned on a Wednesday that they are closed on Wednesdays for clean up. So I just got lucky and found this dog park at Craig Ranch, after doing a Yelp search, of course. I like this park so much better because it has plenty of shade, there are so many trees, as well as tables, so I can have a seat if I want... Neither of which are available in Allen, well very extremely minimal...They also have two separate sections, one for small pups and one for large dogs. Our pup's in the middle weight class and always wants to go in with the littles, as all of his friends are tiny. Additionally, parents pick up after their pets, so the park is kept clean. Also, parents are really good about monitoring their kids to ensure they're playing nicely and jump in, when necessary. As a result of this accidental find I tend to drive a bit further, from Allen, to McKinney, just to take our pup to this park instead Check it out! read more

Oh absolutely not. It's an apartment complex "dog park"- no grass, all mulch, very small. All the tables inside the dog park had teenagers hanging out and it felt like a high school courtyard. They weren't bothering anyone and maybe they brought a dog but it was a weird vibe. read more

A hidden gem, this dog park located next to an apartment complex in Craig Ranch. Every time I've been there, it hasn't been crowded and the dog owners have been pleasant and friendly. There's a separate park for small dogs and a water station. It's well-maintained and my dog loves it! read more

This is a really nice dog park tucked away next to apartments at Craig Ranch. There are two areas with separate entrance & exits to each. The large dog area is huge. You can walk around, sit under shade trees and throw the ball for your dog to run. Most people seemed nice and they pick up after their dogs. I'm only giving 4 stars because it's wood chips not grass but it's well designed and has plenty of seating, water and shade. read more

I absolutely love this dog park. Everyone is super friendly and the dogs are the best. Prior to today, I would have given it 5 stars. BUT, the owners CCMC have decided to closes it from 9-10 am every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for maintenance. While it is appreciated they are taking care of the property, 9-10am a prime dog time. People come before work or after taking their kids to school. It would make much more sense to close it from 1-2pm during the week when there are few dogs there. People are friendly and a lovely park. The shade is great in the summer. I've enjoyed taking my dog there.

We come here almost every day to let our very large puppy play with other dogs to help burn some of her puppy energy! The large dog side is large enough for her to run around in and has plenty of trees for shade. There is a track around the perimeter which is great to walk or run with your dog(s) which is a nice change from the mulch which tends to find its way into your shoes! There are also friendly pet owners and dogs who visit this park. Everyone I have encountered has been very responsible; picking up after their pet, refilling the communal water bowl for other dogs, sharing treats, throwing balls, breaking up rough play, and having good conversation! The small dog side is small. My 2 shih tzu's prefer the big dog side. All the larger dogs seem to respect their space and get along well with one another! read more

This is a great dog park. The people are friendly, the pets are great as well, and for the most part, people do a decent job at picking up the poo. There are plenty of places to sit and the doggy fountains are maintained. The big and small dog parks are fairly sized. We were able to throw a ball around on the small side, which is rare at other parks. My only criticism is that it's a mulch-covered park and there are a bunch of trees so if you have a clumsy dog, expect him/her to run into stuff a bit. I'm sure the shade will be beneficial in the summer, but eh. Also, if you go between 12 and 2p, expect there to be about a dozen dogs there. It can get a bit busy. read more

They sadly closed down the Allen dog park, which I thought was the closest to me. Although that dog park wasn't that great. However, yelp introduced me to this one and it's even closer! The location is in a newly developed neighborhood so it's pretty bare and quiet, which is pleasing. I want to say it's near a farm because I could hear cows mooing. Lots of trees surrounding the park. It is covered in tanbark for low maintenance, and all the owner who visit are friendly and welcoming. I like how spacious it is, and for the most part it is clean. There is street parking available and I didn't have any trouble finding a spot. read more

Very nice dog park. Quiet and spacious, with lots of shaded areas for the owners to sit. The only two downsides I have are that 1. The park uses wood-chips instead of grass, and 2. It's in a new neighborhood with very few people and pets; so most likely you will be here by yourself. read more

Underwhelmed. All wood chips, no grass, small space, lots of trees (like evergreen that begin branching at the ground, which make it difficult to see around); Visited recently and left with a wounded pup. Vet not sure if it was a stick or wood chip that punctured the skin & muscle on her belly. Will not return. read more
