Was referred to this place. Brutal experience. The place felt energetically off, not a happy or positive feeling. But okay... the recommendation was positive so let's give it a shot. Brought in our 2 dogs... multi-poodles. The lady asked if we wanted the teddy bear cut, which we said yes. We also asked to keep the hair on the tail as it can be nice and fluffy. Our first dog was basically shaved, and butchered, and they shaved his tail. Pics attached. Our 2nd dog, who doesn't bite and is super sweet, picked up on the energy and growled... wouldn't allowed to be cut. Smart dog. PLEASE READ !!! I took my 1-year-old dog to this grooming salon for the first time two days ago, and I am extremely disappointed. Before the appointment, I informed the staff that it was his first grooming experience and even advised them to use a muzzle for safety. Despite this, when I picked him up, they told me he was a "bad dog" and should be medicated. That is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I also paid for the full service, including dental cleaning, yet his teeth looked exactly the same when I got him back. To make matters worse, I found him hiding in the corner with pee on his paws--something that has never happened before. Since that visit, he has been completely traumatized--hiding, crying, and extremely jumpy. A grooming salon should be a safe and comfortable environment for pets, but this experience was the exact opposite. If they can't handle animals with patience and care, they have no business grooming them. While we love the care and attention our pup gets and how they look, the management is not understanding at all. I arrived 9 minutes late to an appointment. I understand the policy is 10 minutes. I got stuck in a work call because it was the middle of the day and things come up but made sure I was there within the 10 minutes. I arrived and she refused to honor my appointment which was just really disappointing. She had already started another client before my actual late time was up. Her reasoning was I didn't call to tell her I would be late so she took someone else but I couldn't call because I was on the phone for work. She is human, if you are late and she has to make a financial decision and time management decision whether to start on the next dog or not. Sure, that is a price of doing business with uncaring customers, but it's her choice to also weed out bad customers. I've known Noel since 2007 and she has always been a fantastic groomer. She is never abusive to dogs or cats and always sweet to anyone whom does the same to her. Her place is clean, never hair buildnup on cages that hasn't been cleaned for months or years. my puppy was there for 3 hours with several other dogs getting groomed/ When we picked him up we were told he was flea infested and the groomer showed us pictures on her phone of blood running down his face. There were no fleas in our house. There were no fleas on the puppy when we took him in for his first grooming at K-9 we got the referral from YELP. We went to our Vet that afternoon and told them of our dilemma.. The Veterinary assistant said fleas are usually engorged, and probably came from the other dogs within the facility .We cannot use the medicine that the Vet sells so we got a prescription for Comfortis and had it filled through Chewy a week later, but by then, there were several baby fleas on our puppy and he was scratching a lot.. ..NEVER AGAIN.. the conditioner they used was nice, and his his fur was pretty so i gave them 2 stars. The minute I walked in I felt a comforting vibe. The owner was really friendly, but more importantly, my cocker spaniel was so calm and happy. This never happens with her as she's wound super tight.
