They did a great job grooming my doggie today. They were ready for him at his appointment time and his haircut turned out very cute. Was quoted a price range on the phone when I made the appointment as they hadn't yet seen my dog, and when we arrived they said it would be the lowest end of the price range for his cut. That makes me trust them as they could have easily made me pay the high range of our quote since I'd already agreed to the range I was quoted. I set up an appointment with K-9 Klippers based on good reviews and her assurance that she knows just how to groom our Golden Doodle. She told us she had to shave our dog because of tangles.  We really didn't want her shaved.   Since we had seen very few we asked her to show us. She advised she was too busy to show us. We decided to trust her anyway.  Big mistake! 2 days later our pet was constantly licking her butt and scratching all over.  She was miserable.  We took her to the vet as soon as he opened on Monday.  He gave her a steroid shot and medication and gave us a bill for $175. The vet advised all these problems were caused by improper grooming. He said doodles should never be shaved because their sensitive skin often becomes irritated. He also advised her butt had been nicked which led to inflammation.  He said this "trim" was unacceptable and said he will get us a referral to a groomer who will do it right.  We are firmly convinced she shaved our pet because she was overbooked and that was the quickest way to get on to the next dog.  We paid $110 for this disservice. read more

In desperation to get my pup Dexter groomed last minute, I called and spoke to a very friendly women who happily took as right away. When we arrived she was so great with my fur baby. He warmed up to her unlike I've really seen him do with any other strangers. She was very attentive and made sure she cared for him as if he was her own which I really appreciated. I loved the way is trim turned out! She made she to get around his toes which a lot of places forget. He smelled so good and came prancing out so happily. Now we only have one that goes who's super difficult but Noel always makes her look perfect. I could not have been more pleased. I found Noel and K-9 Klipper through Yelp when I wanted to find a local dog groomer. I was dog-sitting a neighbor's dog while he was recovering from surgery. He had rescued the dog a few months before while on a camping trip in the desert where someone had obviously abandoned her. The dog is extremely shy. I told Noel my best guess is this dog had never had a bath in its life. No worries, she said bring her in and she will take care of her. I was fortunate to get an early appointment the next day. The other advantage to Noel and K-9 Klipper is that she is within walking distance of my home. This dog did not travel well, I was told, so being able to walk to the business was a huge advantage. Noel coaxed the dog into the back, said she would call in an hour or so and off I went to the laundromat to clean her dog bed (can't have a clean dog in a dirty bed!). Noel gave her a bath, clipped her nails, expressed her adrenal glands and lathered her in lanolin to prevent itching for a nominal cost. When I picked her up it was like a new dog. My previous experience before Noel and K-9 Klipper was pretty much taking my puppy to PetSmart because I really didn't know or trust any independently run grooming shops after reading the reviews online about other shops in the area but after almost a year of repeated fail attempts to properly groom my puppy, I finally said that's it, I gotta find another place that knows how to properly groom a puppy. I decided to give it a try with an independent groomer and boy was I wrong about K-9 Klipper's! Noel was very accommodating and helpful, when I brought in my puppy she asked what I wanted specifically and if it was okay for her to also do this and that which was very nice of her to mention it as I didn't even think about it and it would of been extra work for her. Definitely my go-to groomer for the future and recommend everyone to go here because Noel will treat your pet as if it were her own! Time for an updated review. This place stinks for a variety of reasons. 1. It took nearly 2 weeks of phone tag to book my appt, they never answered the phone during business hours. 2. Noel never asked about vaccine records (either in person or wanted proof of them), HUGE red flag. Dogs can pick up multiple annoying disease (kennel cough) or life threatening diseases (parvo) while at the groomers and although my dog is vaccinated appropriately, who knows about the other dogs coming in. 3. Noel called me to pick up my dog ASAP after her bath because she was anxious. Yes, my dog gets anxious at some places but it seemed pretty obvious she was being annoying and they wanted her out of their space 4. In their hurry to get my barking dog out of their workspace, she was only 50% dry and not brushed out. Guess what? My dog has a huge fluffy undercoat and the reason I take her to get groomed is so she can get dried and brushed out. I can wash my dog myself. I booked with Noel because previous commenters mentioned she did well with breeds that have big undercoats (akitas, samoyeds etc) so I thought she knew what she was doing. 5. The next day, my dog had a black mark on her side that I couldnt figure out for the life of me what it was. I figured she had just run up against something on a walk until my normal groomer back at home told me this was caused by a blow out of the canisters used in the dryer and that Noel should have caught it and fixed it prior to sending her home. I got a $5 off new customer discount which was appreciated but barely got told that it was cash or check only right before she needed to get picked up. I get that credit cards have fees associated with them but you should probably let new customers know that when they are booking. So in short, if you want to get the run around while booking an appointment and then have a wet, non brushed out, dirty and anxious dog returned to you who may/may not have picked up some sort of puppy disease at the groomer, book with Noel. I have no idea why she has 5 stars and people drive from all over orange county for this but if it works for you, feel free. read more

I have gone to this groomer a few times & noticed that my dogs were very uncomfortable there. I recently had an emergency & couldn't pick up my dogs on time. This owner was absolutely livid upon my arrival. Never asked why I was late. She wanted to leave for the day and I held her up but I've been in the customer service business for years & the customer is never treated like she treated me that day. First of all THANK YOU NOEL! My malti/shitzu was lost for 2 months in Compton and he was always groomed before and when we found him poor thing was matted, he wouldn't even let me cut his hair and unfortunately at the time I was jobless so I couldn't afford the care he needed. I finally have a job and was able to take care of him and I honestly thought he had to be sedated, but she made him look like a brand new dog! Poor thing was covered in fleas ind ticks and Noel brought my little guy back to life. She told me as she was cutting off his fur she was holding her breathe because she was afraid to accidentally hurt him since he was that bad.
