They always do a great job and our 2016 Jeep looks brand new after they redid the bonnet and bumper after an accident. I will always use them as they handle everything including the insurance company for you. Makes recovering from a bump much easier. We contacted Kaanapali Collision because we were under a time restraint to have our car fender repaired, and everywhere else we contacted had a 3 month waiting period just to get an estimate! Todd graciously worked us in so we could get the estimate turned in timely for the insurance. Amanda was very helpful keeping us informed with the parts being ordered, and arranged for a rental car to be delivered to their shop for us to drive while our car was being repaired. And when we picked up our car not only had they washed the outside, but cleaned out the inside too-- and there was a lot of sand in the car! We were able to drop off the rental car at their shop and Amanda took car of returning it to the car rental place. Excellent work and excellent customer service!!! read more

This is one of the few auto repair shops on the West Side of Maui. It has a market in the area because they landed a contract with an insurance company....however...Let me explain it this way....if you watch Seinfeld...Amanda is like the Soup Nazi. There is nothing pleasant about the abrupt and rude behavior. The work is good, but I don't need the disrespect. There are many other good shops on island. Handled all the paperwork, dealing with Geico and getting me into the rental car faster. Definitely a friend when you are feeling bummed about your car. Easy to talk to, I always feel comfortable around them and they also are understanding and somewhat sympathetic about your loss. Warning!!! I'm sure the guys here do a great job, but the estimate we received here was WAY crazy high. I got multiple quotes this was by far the highest. If you don't want to pay two arms and two legs you should really shop around. If you're going through insurance maybe it would be OK but if you are paying out of pocket for this just don't. I banged up my truck and was referred to Ka'anapali Collision from a co-worker. I honestly couldn't be happier or more pleased with the entire experience from start to finish. Both owners Jesse and Amanda were extremely helpful, patient, and friendly the entire time. They completely worked with me and my schedule to get my truck in as soon as I was ready. And the best part? It was complete, looking fabulous in less than 3 days. Not only did they do the job well, which many people can do, I truly felt like Jesse and Amanda were honest and truthful, looking to help me out. They made sure to not only fix my truck but do so keeping genuine parts. As Jesse put it, "If it were my truck, this is what I'd do." HIGHLY recommend this place! During my last day in Maui with my fiancée, our parked rental Jeep was hit in the rear bumper, leaving a relatively large dent. The person that hit our Jeep took off and we weren't sure what to do to remedy the situation. We decided to try an auto repair shop by our resort and it was the best decision we could have made. As soon as we walked in, Judy greeted us warmly and asked how she could help; Amanda then gave us an estimate within several minutes. We were a bit short on time as our flight was leaving later that day and they found a way to fit us into their schedule to repair our bumper in 2 hours. And on top of that, Judy gave us a ride back to our resort!!! We feel very lucky to have driven by this Kaanapali Collision as they treated us with great care. We can't thank you enough! read more

I brought my car to this auto repair shop to align my drivers side door and get my cracked check strap replaced. I believed that my check strap was cracked due to the door being misaligned. What I felt was weird at first was that they only accepted cash or check. It wasn't too much of a big deal for me, I just thought it was strange. It was a fairly small fix so I went to the ATM to take out some cash. They estimated the cost to align my door and replace the strap to be around $230. A little over a week passes and they call me to tell me that they got the part in and now they can repair my car. The initial estimated time of labor was 2.5 hours. I dropped my car off around 3:30pm and drove back home to Wailuku thinking that they wouldn't be able to finish on time. They called me at about 4:10pm while I was still driving back home telling me my car is done and ready to be picked up. I didn't want to travel all the way back so I waited until the next day. Unfortunately, I was not able to pick it up so I asked one of my good friends to pick it up for me. When I looked at the door alignment it was still crooked. However, they did replace the strap, but the whole reason I was replacing the strap was because I wanted the door aligned. With the door still misaligned, I would believe that the strap would still be susceptible to cracking. I called them stating the issue, and they said they weren't able to align it. Okay......"so why did you guys still charge me $250 when only 40 minutes of labor was done on my car?" They responed: "Well we tried adjusting it for about 1.5 hours." I assumed they were just saying that to cover the 2.5 hours listed on the invoice. Think about it, I'm paying them for their failed attempt to fix it. In my field of work, I don't pay for work that hasn't been done. For example, if you pay a contractor to build you a house, and within time the contractor says "oh sorry we couldn't build you a house because we don't know how". Well at that point I would want my money refunded. I eventually got them to refund me $50 dollars which should've been more, but I'd rather not waste my time. I went to this shop based on their great yelp reviews, and I'm sure they provide great service to a lot of people; but my experience with them was terrible. The main thing I didn't enjoy was the deception. They spent 40 minutes of work as opposed to the 2.5 hours listed on the invoice, they didn't notify me that the door could not be aligned properly, and the refund they gave me was not calculated accurately. I would say go at your own risk. read more

I've had limited experience with collision shops but they have all been horrendous with the help of insurance or without. So, I was really dreading our small broken tail light and some extra paint (from a white column) needing to be buffed off our car. Amanda first tried to buy an after market part but the car was too new so she had to buy the part from the dealer....knew it would cost more then but she charged so little for the buffing off the extra paint (no dent or damage luckily) that I felt truly lucky! Overall...no hassle, less than one hour wait time once the part came in and friendly service! The person who complained about the costs (Anna on 8/24/16) should note we paid cash vs insurance and thought we got a deal! You have to realize parts cost extra to come to Hawaii just like food and everything else does. As a retired police officer I could say that if her previous prices for parts were 'way cheaper' they could be stolen or used parts and not new parts. If it's some place someone can't see it, it is easy to sell someone something not new.....happens all the time. (Not saying that was what was going to happen or did happen to her but always be aware of 'too cheap' a part too!) Hope I never have to use anyone again but if I need body work it will be with Amanda and her husband at Ka'anapali Collision for sure!!! read more
