I finally made it here and I am so glad that I did! I love Indian food and this place offers terrific food. The biriyani was expertly seasoned with generous portions of meats and shrimp. The only addition I would like to suggest to the dish is a sprinkling of golden raisins. The riata was the best I have had in my entire life. It was so creamy and chock full of fresh vegetables. The samosas were filled with fragrant seasonings in the potato and pea mixture. I'm already fantasizing about the next meal. There is definitely some lamb involved! read more

I have no complain about food. Food is decent and sweets are good too. Its the service that is bad. This is the 4th time we had bad experience and I believe it is time to share my experiences. 1) They deliver food within 5 mile and I could show proof via google map my home is within 5 miles but still they do not deliver. I did not argue. 2) Twice we went there after 2:30 and were refused as restaurant closing at 3. OK we turned back both times 3) Today we went at 2:15 and we were seated. But we were reminded 3 times while eating lunch that restaurant closing at 3. We were almost done and at 3 they closed the restaurant lights. It is as rude as they can get. This is no class and no way to behave. I am done going to this restaurant and I will make sure my organization will never order food from there until they explain and correct this behavior. Before posting this review I wanted to talk to the owner and explain him what happened but the girl over the phone said he is too busy to take call. read more

How in the hell is this place 4 stars? I went there for lunch today and had their buffet. I really hate when India restaurants dumb down their food for the masses. Every single item on their buffet was bland with very little flavor. The tandoori chicken was faux tandoori chicken. It looked and tasted more like baked tandoori chicken. A little gem of Indian food . I had the shrimp tikka masala, chicken kurma, lamb diwalia, all delicious savory curries. The garlic naan was made fresh and went great with curries (use the bread to scoop up the yummy sauce). Also had an appetizer of samosas and pakoras, both went great with tamarind chutney. I don't even know where to begin. By far one of the best ethnic food places I have ever been to. If your looking for something that is not the run of the mill lets go eat at china buffet type of meal then check out this place. They offer dine in, buffet, take out and delivery. The food was fresh and tasted like you were eating food that was grown that day. The smell that you get once you walk in makes your salivary gland start to over produce. Every time I have gone the staff has been top notch, kind, warm and extremely friendly. Lamb skewers were delicious but if you are going for your first time, I would recommend the Chicken Tikka Marsala. It was sweet and delicious along with some Garlic Naan. I was craving indian food during my stay in Canton and drove past this place which is located across from the mall. Needless to say, I'm glad I stopped in. I'm difficult to please when it comes to indian food. I ordered the Goat curry with traditional naan and side of homemade yogurt. Also, had the Kheer for dessert, which is quite nice. Food was nicely flavored and was prepared efficiently, I will come again when I have another indian food craving. Hopefully next visit I will make it in time for the lunch buffet. read more

I have never been to an Indian restaurant and with a promotion offer we ventured into this one. We were the only ones there which was weird but hey the service was good ! Being a novice we needed help. The waiter although very attentive could not bridge the cultural gap and help out For instance we ordered a vegetable plate as an appetizer never thinking it was deep fried. Expected fresh Indian styles vegetables I don't see deep fried vegetables anywhere except as fair food and don't buy them there But the main dishes where very good. Has a shrimp kabob and a chunked chicken dish. The chicken was 10.95 and the shrimp kabob 13.95. My rating of average reflects what I consider high prices for the food. 7 medium shrimp in a sauce with peppers and onions for $14 is too much. The chicken was in a soup bowl with onions and peppers with a side of lentils. Again too much $$$ Would love to try the buffet read more

Went for the buffet. Although it was smaller than the one at Bombay Sitar, it really gives them a run for the money. Good food, great selection, and of course, very satisfying! When I went home for the holiday I decided to finally go here as it was on my list of places to visit for a while. I took my mom and friend after church on a Sunday. I was excited for them to finally try Indian cuisine. My mother has a palate that is similar to mine so I knew that she would love it. My friend on the other hand is a very picky eater, so I was very worried about her. Guess what? They both loved it. I enjoyed it as well. The only thing with me is that I have had some reallllly good indian food, so my grading scale was a tad bit different. I guess that since it was lunch time, there simply wasn't a great variety. I was looking for the butter chicken which I guess is something that they put on their dinner menu. We came towards the end 1:45, they close at 3 then reopen at 5. The selections didn't seem too fresh and since we came at the end they weren't interesting in refilling the selections. At 2:50 the waitress pretty much told us to eat up because they close at 3. I told her that was fine, give me a to go box (which a cardinal no no for buffets) for what was on my plate and she declined. So I sat there patiently and finished my food. I guess that we will have to time better next time as this place is in canton which is close to 25 minutes away. I guess I wasn't too impressed on this visit but I would definitely go again and give them another try. read more

AMAZING. Had the lunch buffet with a good friend on Sunday 10/5/2014. He introduced me to Indian food several years ago. It was our first visit to Kabab & Curry. The variety was wonderful at the buffet. My friend has travelled more then I have and compared the quality and selection to that of the Indian food available in London. I am more simple then he. I just like good food. And this IS GOOD FOOD! The dining area and buffet were both very clean and the staff was amazing. Food was very fresh and flavorful. Service was great. Very clean atmosphere. So much vegetarian selection in the buffet. Naan was very good. Mango ice cream in the buffet was amazing. Ate here for the first time last night (Sunday, 01/12/14) and wow I must say I was impressed. After reading some of the reviews I was a little skeptical at first because prior to eating here Bombay Sitar was my go-to place in the Belden area when I needed an Indian food fix (it is still quite good however). I don't really do buffets so I opted coming for dinner and having come within the last hour of operation on a Sunday night had the place all to myself. I wanted to compare the food to Bombay Sitar so I ordered almost my exact favorite items on the menu here. I started with the vegetable assorted appetizer plate (paneer, potato, fried bean & pea dumpling, veg. samosa). The flavors were very similar to Bombay Sitar and equally as good but I thought the paneer pakora here was even better. The papadoms and chutneys were pretty routine but good too. Something that they have here that they don't offer at Bombay Sitar (at least that I'm not aware of) is the salted lassi, which I ordered to drink. Next came the fish vindaloo and the garlic naan. I ordered the vindaloo Indian hot not knowing what to expect.. sometimes they tone the spice down for Americans thinking we cannot handle it like they can-- I realize sometimes spice levels can vary at Indian restaurants each visit but wow was I impressed with the level of spice here.. VERY hot and spicy even after the curry sauce and basmati rice had cooled off a bit- which is just the way I love it.. feeling like hot love going down your throat and insides. It was perfect in every way, as was the delectable garlic naan. For dessert I capped off the meal with the gulab jamun and a masala tea and ordered a mango lassi as well. All were perfection. And the best part was that most all of the menu items to me seemed a bit cheaper than Bombay Sitar and very reasonably priced at that. I don't know if they tone down the spice for their buffet (I suspect they might for the general public) but ppl should realize they can order off the menu and have the spice level adjusted to their liking. I didn't notice that they serve alcohol (Bombay Sitar does with a full beer/wine selection) but this may be due to the fact that they're new and might not have obtained a liquor license yet. I will definitely return. This establishment definitely gives Bombay Sitar a run for their money and just very well might be my new go-to Indian cuisine locale in the Canton area. I thought the same about Bombay Sitar after they first opened after having been to Gateway to India (where Papa Gyros now is in Belden). A definite must-try for anyone who loves or is curious about Indian cuisine. The flavors and spices are out of this world and this is a definite understatement. This little restaurant is a great great place! The food is superb and they will spice it exactly the way you want. The vindaloo is a rock star dish but everything is always fresh and deliciously prepared. Can't go wrong with just about anything on the menu really , I eat here 3 times a week when I can. Super friendly people make you feel welcome and appreciated, delivery is always extremely timely and correct. Give it a try if you never had Indian food before,you will love it,or if you have not yet found a good Indian place after moving here to replace your old one back home, well here it is! read more

Best Indian food in the Cleveland/Akron/Canton area, in my opinion and my spouse's opinion! We have become "regulars" over the past few years, going in for dinner at least once a month since the restaurant opened, and I have to say they have really won us over. Their vegetarian ingredients are consistently fresh, the spices are authentic, the kitchen & service staff are very patient and accommodating re: special requests (food allergies), and maybe best of all... no issues with painful MSG hangovers like we have unfortunately experienced at a number of other local Indian restaurants. (I don't think Indian restaurants in general purposefully add MSG, but often it is hidden in pre-packaged spice mixes and blends; somehow this wonderful restaurant seems to avoid that problem; THANK YOU, Kabab & Curry!) The decor is nothing extravagant, but the place is consistently clean and well cared-for; I believe this is a family-owned & run business, and they seem to really take pride in their work. Of all the Indian restaurants in Northeast Ohio, I consider myself lucky to live down the street from this one! read more
