This restaurant just makes me so happy I'm so excited that they opened up around here which is 30 minutes from my home. The food is always delicious I've tried different foods a few different times so far. The employees are wonderful, happy and always professional. Updated review-We ordered the meat and grilled vegetable platter for 2. Meats were perfectly seasoned including the chicken. And we were loaded up on grilled vegetables. The toum and hummous with pita bread were amazing. We added a side of tahini sauce for dipping the meat and vegetables and it put the meal over the top-highly recommend! We also tried fruit smoothies with our meal and those were fresh, sweet and delicious. One member of our party tried the chicken schwarma wrap with tahini sauce and said it was fantastic. BEST pita bread ever--and I've visited three Mediterranean countries. Our efficient server brought a basket of hot puffed beauties to the table along with herb infused butter. All I could do to not finish the bread before our meal came. My husband and I split a plate of chicken schwarma with fries and a few vegetables and were comfortably full for our trip across the border. Just tried this place for the first time a month ago and we will be coming back! I cannot really speak to the restaurant sit down experience as we always get take out, but it seems nice inside. The building is tucked away on Lapeer road, but it is worth the extra little drive away from downtown. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming and our food was prepared quickly. The falafel wraps and the chicken shawarma are our favorites. The garlic spread and bread is a must order! Everything is also priced so well. It is one of my favorite places to get takeout on a busy weeknight. read more

Ambiance: 6 out of 10. I arrived at 11am on a lazy Sunday morning. I wasn't sure if the place was even open. Inside, it reminded me of a 1980's family-style restaurant. It was so-so... not very impressive on this topic. However, in the restaurant's defense, it is obviously a non-pretentious, no frills place. The food is the focus. Service: 9 out of 10. The young lady at the cash register was very friendly. She greeted and seated me immediately upon entering. My server promptly took my order, and my entree was delivered as soon as I finished my soup. To contextualize: at the time, there were only 2 or 3 other customers in the restaurant. Food - Crushed Lentil soup: 6 out of 10. A little on the watery side, and could have been a bit more flavorful. Not bad though. Bread: 9 out of 10. The bread was fresh and hot. When I tore it apart, that tantalizing plume of steam escaped. The bread had just the right texture: slightly hard on the outside and soft on inside. Garlic sauce: 10 out of 10. Creamy with zing. Great bread + great garlic sauce = Perfect! Chicken Shawarma: 10 out of 10. The biggest surprise was the seasoning on the chicken! I have had my fair share of shawarma, but nothing flavored exactly like this! I ALMOST didn't need the garlic sauce... I will definitely be back, when in the Port Huron area. read more

Nice little shot. Low key. Staff are very nice. The falafel was served up hot and fresh. It was delightful. I want a fan of the lentil soup. It was extremely hot in temp but had Betty little taste and was not anything like the lentil soups I've tasted or made. No big deal, next time I'll have the Avgolemono. So, here they had a garlic spread. This is the second restaurant where this was served. It is not the garlic feta spread I make myself and have had for years in Mediterranean restaurants. It's ok. Just not gr8. I wasn't very hungry, really just wanted to check this place out and sample the falafel- it was fabulous. I'll go back. It was worth the side trip. Well done. read more

My friend and I had lunch here while visiting the Port Huron area. We hadn't been to this part of Port Huron before but I found this restaurant via Yelp. Our waitress was at our table quick and took our beverage order. The restaurant was not very busy when we got there just after 11 am. When we ordered ours lunch we were confused and ordered a plate which was the chicken, salad, and rice. We meant to order the chicken Shawarma sandwich. Luckily our waitress she brought us a large pita to put the chicken inside so it was all good! We loved the garlic sauce and had to ask for more. I thought the salad was alright but the rest of my meal with very good!! It was a lot of food for lunch so I had leftovers to take. Would have never expected to find this in Port Huron but glad we did. Authentic Middle Eastern fare, I had the beef shawarma and loved the flavor. Wife had the chicken shish tawook, and was happy with it. Soup needed to be seasoned as it was bland, mini pitas with the toom were terrific. Had the rice, not a fan of almonds in the rice but it was good, wish they would have had some kind of sauce for the rice. Service was good, place is kinda older but didn't bother me which usually it does. Will be back to try some of the other stuff. We ordered the Mixed Kabob dinner and David Basha dinner. YUMMMM! The baba ghanouj is wonderful and comes with delicious bread! There are more than 10 booths and 5+tables. I recently came back with my whole family and my sister. Having been to several authentic Mediterranean style restaurants in Dearborn, I can say the flavors in this place are on par. I had the lefts plate while my family had the chicken shawarmas (they are Avengers fans so they keep it simple). The bread is good, the garlic sauce is good, the entrees are good and the staff are pleasant. You can tell the owner gets fresh food. Service was horrible. I got 1/2 a glass of tea and was told that I would get more but didn't until I chased down our waitress. My husband never got a refill when he asked and she didn't bring us the bread until we asked. They were bringing out food and didn't know what table ordered it. Amazing Customer Service!!! Above & Beyond. My husband called and placed an order he was supposed to order a "Full Order" of "Deboned" chicken & we got "4 orders of Shwarma Chicken" I called up there when he got home with the food & I seen it was the wrong thing. They said come back up & we will make it right. Honestly it was mostly my husband's fault for not speaking clearly & causing the misunderstanding; but Kabobs went out of their way to make it right. Despite my 3-star rating I hope you will check this place out - there is just room for improvement! Owners, if you're reading this, please make sure the parking lot is well-lit! I went with my parents and we enjoyed the vegetarian combo for 2, warm bread with garlic dip, and salad. What could have been better? We didn't receive our side of rice, my dad's chicken shawarma was not as described (marinated, slow roasted chicken shaved off rotisserie style) and was more like cut up grilled chicken. Seemed like the communication of the staff was not 100% there because our server said she wasn't told she had a table, so we waited for several minutes after we were seated to even get a drink, but otherwise the service was good. Just tried this place for dinner tonight. Fattoush salad was good. Ordered the mixed grill with grilled vegetables. The mixed grill plate had chicken kabob, beef kabobs and a ground meat kabob.
