Sunday, we ordered carry out with friends. We all had a delicious experience! I ordered the vegetarian grape leaves and mojadra and it came with the garlic sauce and pita. The grape leaves were very tangy and perfectly tasty as well as the mojadra, which was moist and cooked to perfection. We all thought the garlic dip/sauce is one of the best around, creamy and wonderfully garlicky! My husband ordered the meat grape leaves and he thought they were fantastic. Our friends ordered the chicken shawarma and chicken gallaba, tabbouli and hummus and they thought it was all amazing. Craving falafel after an unsuccessful amazon marketplace run. Horrific heat-I desperately wanted mediterranean coffee but settled for iced tea. Gabby was so friendly and helpful. I had looked at the menu online before. I'd gone in and what they had on the menu matched, what I had found online, which was a really good sign, because a lot of places don't keep their online menus up to date. I ordered their sampler plate that had Hummus. Falafel, grape leaves. And baba ganoosh, which i'm not a real big fan of so I opted for an extra falafel. There's falafel, and there's falafels, sometimes the falafel is too crunchy on the outside and not soft.Enough on the inside, this was absolutely perfect. Dipped in the hummus or the greek garlic spread, it was phenomenal. I've had it at some other places where it's kind of runny.This was the perfect consistency and flavor. The hummus was very tasty as well. I actually didn't see it on the menu, but they have lamb and red meat grape leaves which I'd never had before, but since I missed it on the menu, I ended up with the non vegetarian grape leaves, I noticed the difference right away because the leaf was darker in color; I'm not a big meat eater, but these were actually really good. For folks who aren't vegan and don't like grape leaves, this might be something they might want to try, because it has a very different flavor and are much heartiest. The restaurant is very clean and organized. They were really busy and Kristina the other waitress, was busy the whole time serving, and clearing tables. Such nice staff, too. When I first got there, the gentleman who may have been the owner for but pretty sure. He'd been working in the kitchen was sitting at 1 of the tables, chatting with a young couple that he seemed to know really well. It was nice to see that in a small local restaurant. Gabby was a gem. I have a couple of hand conditions, and I had some issues with some things that I'd never had problems with before- like holding onto the knife whil. And she was kind enough to help me get my leftovers into the carry out containers, I was so grateful for her helping with that. It was embarrassing, but she just made like it was no big deal. I work in Dearborn, which has the finest Middle Eastern food on the continent. Kabob Town is a slice of Dearborn on the east side, but it's much more than that. In addition to traditional Middle Eastern fare, there is a huge selection of western foods. And, they are really good. But first, the main attractions. The chicken Shawarma sandwich looks and taste just like what you would get in Dearborn, except that it's larger. Everything is huge here. I decided to put that large fattoush chicken feta salad on a scale, and it weighed 2 1/2 pounds, without salad dressing. I decided to try the salmon galaba sandwich recently. It's hefty, and only $7.99. There is not a lot of salmon in it, but it tastes great. The lemon rice soup is excellent, and we make sure to get one with every meal. My 21-year-old son doesn't eat anything that isn't deep-fried, so he was happy that they had fried shrimp, onion rings, and other western items on the menu. Don't be fooled by the "kids" designation on the menu. The servings are huge. My son got a burger and fries, which he loved, and he couldn't finish it all. The large portions don't come along with a large price. Everything is reasonably priced. And, despite ordering from here several times, every order has been perfect. This used to be one of our favorite middle eastern restaurants to patronize. We have dined in, carried out, and door dashed from them a multitude of times. The food used to be consistent, delicious and fresh! But as of late I have been very disappointed with the quality and errors in my order. A couple of times our soups (lentil and chicken lemon rice) had been heavily diluted and very watery. It's like they are adding water to stretch days old soup. NOT OK! I door dashed from them today and was highly disappointed. I paid $10 for a quart of lentil soup only to receive a bowl. The chicken lemon rice soup was so watery and had next to NO rice or chicken in it. I ended up adding rice and chicken from my deboned chicken meal. And speaking of that, the chicken was so COLD! Once on my door dash order, I ordered 2 chicken shawarma and only got one. I've tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but there are better local middle eastern restaurants who don't play in their customers face and take quality serious. read more

Bridgette is waiting on us today, as is the other woman too. This place is cranking out carry out orders right and left. The carry out food orders take 25-45 minutes to get out of here, dependent on the menu items. They have a lot of regulars here. They offer delivery food too. Ordered a chef's special plate with rice and salad and fattoush chicken and feta and lentil soup. The garlic butter has a bit of lemon tang to it, it's nice. The lentil soup wasn't bad, crushed. A bit of lemon juice would have been better for me, but I was too hungry to wait. The chicken in my Fattoush salad was moist, lean and nicely cooked. The Fattoush salad was fresh and tasty and had a nice dressing on it. The food and service were all good here. They were even good about getting us in and out in 25 minutes. I eat here at least twice a week now. Yeah I'm lazy but I still want to eat something heathy and relatively cost effective. In the surrounding area it's tough to find a decent lunch but this place is good, Like real good! The portion size tends to be large but it's actually good quality not just quantity. For lunch I don't want a greasy meal give me something fresh, something packed with vegetables. Kabob town fits that need but also adds enough meat to feed a wild bear. My goto is the Greek salad with fattoush dressing. The standard option included is a Greek dressing it's just ok. The fattoush dressing is where it's at skip the Greek. Just writing about it I'm getting hungry. It's fresh, lettuce is crisp, cucumbers are on point. The cheese can't be feta, it's just a silent memeber of the band. The chicken thou tends to be way too much, it's tender and tasty, it's just way too much I usually barely can eat half of the chicken. The beets are ok, just a basic bottom beet. What's odd is no peperoncini and it's not like I miss them but to me the name implies your usually getting a tart little pepper. Anyhow Greek salad is very good. For a basic fresh salads the small fattoush with chicken is more then enough for one person. Want more veggies the Lebanese salad is a nice choice also. Let's say your looking for more of a hearty meal, well then order up the chefs special with humous. It comes with what seems like 2 lbs of tender grilled chicken, seasoned rice, humous, bread, garlic dip and a small salad just so you can say, look it's healthy I have a salad. When I'm looking to stress eat for lunch this is my goto. Rice almond salad with chicken. Honestly the name just confused me but on a recommendation I ordered this and ordered it and ordered it. The roasted almonds combined with the chicken mixed in with the salad, Yeap, awesome. I just wish it had a dollop of humous. Not everyone's into chicken, I've never ordered it but someone at work really likes the Shish kabob special. That's like a recommendation from someone I know that knows someone who tried it. The sandwiches are good to ok. I find other items on the menu just more desirable. Ordering the sandwich with the salad makes it a good filling lunch . Chicken shawarma- just ok, Majadara- towards the middle to end it becomes a bit sloppy and wet, but it's such a unique flavor. I've never had lentils this way and do enjoy it. Super falafel- mushy and just ok. Chicken and Humous appetizer - very smooth humous with two chicken breasts. Topped with parsley and some spices, Very tasty Town salad - hmm, it's just missing something. Just some veggies thrown together, definitely not a good lunch by itself. Tabouli salad - I've ordered this just to mix up my lunch, it's good, but by itself it's just way too much parsley. Mixed Kafta plate - I've ordered this one time to spilt with someone and it was delicious. What would have made it perfect was some humous. Let's complain a little, nothing's perfect and I'm not saying I would avoid Kabob Town but it's a review I feel you have to show the good and bad. With that being said the garlic sauce is just way to strong , I rarely use it but if you like it strong have at it. I'd prefer to see more hummus it's just taster and way healthier then the garlic. Not many items come with hummus which is a bummer. At lunch time this place can be nuts do not believe them when they say your order will be ready in 20. Give it 30, if the person answering the phone sounds like they are driving an out of control bus maybe give them 40 mins for carry out. Today was the first time I've been there and purchased a fatuos salad it was amazing! will go back again

The online ordering was fairly but I ordered labneh as a side because I didn't realize you could get a large side of garlic, because the "garlic" under "sides" said $0.65, which I assumed that was for if you wanted extra on a sandwich, however, if you click it you can choose larger portions. The labneh was still delicious, just not what I was planning to have. Also, the description didn't state if it'd come with pita bread... it does. There was confusion with their handwritten signs and about going inside and waiting for your order. It would make sense if they brought it out to your car like all other businesses I've ordered from lately are doing. They have a set of double doors and they request that one person waits in the double doors while the first customer is being helped but since I was the first customer, I still had to walk through the double doors and pass the other customer on my way out so it seemed awkward. Overall, the food tasted great but I asked for 4 chicken schwarma sandwiches and asked for 1 of the 4 to be made without tomatoes and the sandwich was not labeled. I was dropping two of the sandwiches off to parents of a newborn so it sucked not knowing beforehand if I gave them the right order. read more

You definitely get your money's worth here. The portions are very generous. We ordered the town combo which feeds 4-5 according to the menu but there were 7 adults and 3 kids and we still had a lot left over! We also ordered the house mezza which was very good. The food is amazing! I've been to Israel and the food here is authentic and may I say Better! If I lived in this area this would be a regular stop on the lunch circuit. The family that runs the restaurant give that personal touch that you wouldn't necessarily expect. Ask them what they suggest and they will handle the rest of you are unsure what to get on the menu. We had a family of 4 at lunch and we ordered a variety of items off the menu and shared them all. I personally think that's the best option. The online ordering tool was super easy to use....too bad that was the highlight. This was a big waste of $50.00 We got 2 orders of Hummous with Sautéed meat. Got home to discover that the dish should have been called Hummous with mushrooms. Take a look at the picture. All I did was pick out the shrooms. The ratio of meat to shrooms is horrible. I paid for meat, should get meat. Besides that...No where on the description of the dish were shrooms listed. I hate when restaurants don't include info like that. As a HATER of mushrooms this was very disappointing. To add insult to injury, they didn't include any bread with our order. My son got an ingredient surprise with his Kebab sandwich. Took a bite and found pickled turnips. Again, these weren't listed on the menu. There are way too many other Middle Eastern options around the area to deal with this. read more

But when i paid for it, total was $51.74! Don't know how they added it up. But i think their dinners were already expensive! So i was surprised with the total amount. Their food was just okay. If you have any food allergies I highly recommended you don't eat here. They don't care about your allergies. When I let the owner know there was almonds in my food and that I'm highly allergic he said come back I'll remake your food. If you have a food allergy you know that's not how it works. 2019-10-30 Kabob Town. Chesterfield, MI. So I was actually looking forward to trying this place. I was excited to find such a highly rated restaurant. While not exactly close to me (about 5 miles out), it wasn't exactly far either. And let's face it, I'm not walking, so it's really just a stone's throw away. Located in the northwest corner plaza at Gratroit and 21 MI, there's plenty of free parking just outside it's door. Came here for lunch and it seems like we had just beat the lunch hour crowd. Shortly after we received our food, the place was pretty packed. Most came for to-go orders, but there was a steady flow none the less. After perusing the menu, we opted for the classics. A Chicken Shwarma plate, and a Kofta Plate. Complementary pita and toum (whipped garlic) were also provided. The lunch plates come with a side of salad or soup. We opted for one of each. Fatoush Feta Salad. Romaine, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red cabbage, and crispy pita chips. Classic fatoush... served with their own house dressing and topped with feta cheese. Either I was hungry, or I really liked it's classic simplicity. The fried pita was the mass produced purchased type used in wraps, but it worked to their benefit here as it's thin layers gave it a nice light crunch. 4 stars. Lentil Soup. I like that it was on the thicker side and the lentils cooked way down. Not grainy, but close. A touch of tumeric would have elevated the dish in my opinion, but still no slouch. 3 stars. Pita and Toum. The toum was nice and light, and not too spicy. The pita was not the fresh baked type that I was hoping for. It was the mass manufactured and purchased variety that's super thin and often used for wraps. A portion was individually bagged and served. The toum didn't disappoint, but the pita did. Sadly, this type of pita is becoming more and more the norm. 3 stars. Mixed Kofta Plate. One meat kofta, and one chicken kofta. These were beautifully grilled (see pics) and not dried out. showcased over a bed of rice an salad and served with a side of pickled vegetables and Tahini (sesame paste). Taste supported it great looks, but the rice could have been better quality and more flavorful in my opinion. Of the Kofta, the meat ruled over the chicken, but the chicken here has been better than most I've visited. 3,5 stars rounded up to 4 stars. Tahini. Your classic sesame paste with paprika sprinkled on top. This sauce tends to be on the dry side and I'm generally not a fan, but I tasted it for the benefit of Yelp! It was exactly as expected and in line with most places. 3 stars. Mixed Shawarma Plate. Served with rice and salad, picked veggies, and a side of Tahini. The beef wasn't as flavorful as hoped or expected, and the chicken was at the cusp of starting to dry out. I think it was caught just in the nick of time which made it to where it's at. 3 stars. While the food isn't spectacular; it isn't bad either. Pricing is on the honest side considering what you get. It is quite a bit of food yes, but they do provide carry out containers should you need them. The food didn't pop out at me, and is a solid 3 stars. I'll add one for value, 4 stars overall. The Town is the best in the area for Mediterranean food hands down. It's a little inconsistent tho. Sometimes the Hummus is so darn good, then the next day it's super bland. Same with the chicken, one day it's buttery delicious, literally can smell the chicken outside on a windy day! The next it's dry and barley seasoned.
