I ordered from Kaceli's the first time today. My husband and I had chicken fajitas. They had onion and green peppers and were delicious! There are 3 per order. The only thing I would change would be to offer salsa, guacamole, and sour cream for toppings. I enjoyed my lunch! read more

Seem if your not a regular you missed out with the service ! She was nice but get even caught up at the register ! Have the wait staff wait and have someone man the register ! We've been visiting Kaceli's for a few years, happily. Recently, the service has been slower and slower. We realize that a server can only do so much when they get slammed with a busy dining room, but when we come in and watch table after table of guests who came in AFTER us get served their food, while we're still sitting with our menus, it's time to GO and not return. This happened to us yesterday -August 25, 2024. There were 2 of us. We wanted a sandwich and an iced tea before we both had to head off to work. We couldn't wait any longer. Bye bye, Kaceli's. Management needs to make some tough decisions on servers or get them some help. This was the second time this happened in a month. The first time was a weekday- barely anyone else in the dining room- a larger party was there ( about 16 people- running our server ) apparently we were also in her section & no one offered a hand in helping her. Drove by this nondescript, mom and pop, 70's throw back kind of place. The place looked dead with very few cars in front and kinda run down looking. I had to check this out for myself. Walking in, I got a great warm greeting from the waitress that took care of me along with a very nice breakfast of 4 links, 2 jumbo eggs scrambled, two slices of rye bread and some of the most perfectly browned hash browns I've ever gotten in any restaurant. Washed it all down with a couple cups of hot coffee.....all for a little over $5.00. I've had breakfasts at Mickey D's would run you more than that and wouldn't be as good. My only surprise is that it's a first review and that I got here before Liz W. of Belleville. I will be coming back next time I'm in the Downriver area. read more

Went there today and ordered turkey sandwich which l thought was a dinner asked for cranberry sauce and since l asked for cranberry sauce l was billed for a complete dinner. But l didn't receive a complete dinner. There wasn't any stuffing just cold bread. The name of the manager was Jackie and as long as she's there when l go in l will turn around and walk out. I've never had a problem before but she is rude and obnoxious and shouldn't be in this kind of business. U don't keep good customers the way she treats people. My husband loves this place and we went two to three times a week. But that has changed. read more

I've written a number of reviews, and my criteria is anything above or below average. Stopped in and had breakfast for lunch. I've been here before, probably 10 times and although the food is good, it's not great so I'd rate the food as average. I did like the fact that the sausage gravy on my Southern Omelette actually tasted like sausage and not the cheap version favored by many places that tastes like paste. Yes, I was one of those paste eaters in Elementary School, but I digress... My review is not to rave about the food, but the EXCELLENT service I received from Karri, my server. Having been in the foodservice industry for a significant part of my working life, I've been in every position from busboy/dishwasher to cook, to general manager, so I know what to look for when critiquing a restaurant and it's workers. Karri is a gem. An honest-to-goodness waitress who pays attention to the customer's needs and actually anticipates those needs. It's the little things like extra napkins, an extra jelly (just in case,) providing extra butter for your toast, (realizing that all cooks need to go to toast buttering school because they somehow can't seem to get butter on the whole slice of toast, merely a spot in the center.) My cup of coffee never ran dry and she checked on me more than once. In addition: although the place wasn't crowded (40-50% occupied) Karri was hustling at all times, not strolling. I know I couldn't keep up with her! I for one really appreciate what it takes to provide superior service to the customer. I hope her employer recognizes her worth and rewards her for it. Food was okay, service was lacking. My biggest issue came when I went to pay. Both of their doors and their register say they take discover but they don't and my card was declined - it was the only form of payment I had. Rather than even try to talk to me about it they didn't do anything and I had to call a family member to go out of their way to help me pay for the meal. Barely any apology and no one moved to correct the issue. I will absolutely never give them my service again and will never recommend them to ANYONE. read more

Since the restaurant we intended on going to was closed nearby we chose Garden Family as an alternative. The hostess was friendly and we were seated immediately. The place wasn't exactly busy with only three or four other tables occupied. The waitress was nice and friendly but didn't understand what I was talking about when I asked her if the spinach pie on the menu was made with phllyo dough. I described what phyllo was and she told me that it was made with their spinach pie. Pretty standard ingredient for her to not know. I was less than thrilled with the food. Stopped here for the first time ever last night, and we are glad we did. Our server was friendly, we ordered an appetizer and dinner, and food started coming out quickly. The pierogi's were very good, a bit crispier than we have had before but delicious. We ordered the fish n chips and country fried steak and both meals were excellent. Decided to give it a try for breakfast since I pass it often and see the breakfast $2.99 special sign. I got the $3.99 breakfast with two eggs, 4 pieces of bacon (or sausages, links, or ham), hash browns and a biscuit (or toast). Was surprised at how quickly it was served. The portions were good, the eggs prepared right, and the hash browns nice and crispy exactly how I like them. The waitress was great, so nice and friendly. Definitely will be back. read more

The servers are always good. But not consistent with there food. You get hash browns 2 choices overcooked or under. I ordered a grilled chicken salad one visit. Yes, it's as good as it gets if you like plain American food. Different daily specials all come with soup, salad or cole slaw and rice pudding or ice cream for dessert. We eat there at least 3 times a week and everything is good. Waitresses are friendly, not always the fastest when it's busy but no different than any other restaurant. Their pita sandwiches are really good as are the fries. Really good breakfast at a cheaper price than most other places. Dinner is always a home run. As an 50ish couple who prefers to eat out than deal with the mess at home, it's tops on our list! read more
