First time here and it was a bust. I got a shrimp cocktail that was like 25 dollars and definitely didn't look nothing like the picture and it was mostly liquid there was only 5 shrimp in the whole thing. I was so disappointed is the presentation of it as well. I also did a margarita the margaritawas ok it lack alittle of Alcohol. I will give this place a try again but it may be awhile before I do. Wonderful Mexican seafood restaurant specializing in Nayarit style seafood from the Acapulco region. They also serve Mexican specialties too. I had some great grilled camarones in their special house sauce (monkey sauce). Flavorful sauce (not spicy). I also really liked the huichol hot sauce on the chips. Great addition to Mexicantown 2.0. I am looking forward to trying the grilled red snapper Nayarit style and the seven seas soup which was highly recommended. Great service! The parking lot is challenging, but plenty of street parking. First time customer at this Mexican restaurant with a huge selection of seafood dishes. I ordered and enjoyed the Chapuzon Del Mar very much. The seafood was fresh and had the right amount of bite to it. The wait staff was very attentive. During dinner I asked for some additional salsa, when I received my bill I noticed I was charged for the additional salsa. Who does this? I ordered a $25 entree, not like I'm sitting at the bar wolfing down free chips & salsa all night. It's not the money, it's the principle. They need to do better! read more

Fish tacos were phenomenal Very fresh and crisp veggies, fish was very flavorful, sauce was delicious! The rice with the burrito was some of the best restaurant rice I've tasted. Food came out quickly, but not concerning quickly. Interior was cute, everything's blue and has a fun tropical vibe. We sat 4 at a 6 top, I'm glad we didn't have 6, I like my space and it might've been a bit cramped otherwise. Menu was enormous but that's kinda the expectation for Mexican places. I love that their menu offered almost all their fun drinks without alcohol (and that they were cheaper!). Service was excellent, our waitress was so helpful and nice. We went here for my wife's birthday, and it was a great experience. The staff made the evening really fun and special, which we appreciated. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent and everything came out quickly, and everyone was friendly and helpful. It's clear they care about their customers and want people to have a good time. We'll definitely be back and would recommend it to others looking for good food and a fun atmosphere. read more

This was our first time here. Our mango margaritas were delicious and my husband loved his chili rellenos. My cheese enchilada was good until I had a piece of metal in my mouth. I definitely could have been hurt. After bringing it to our servers attention, she came back with our bill and the manager took 60% off my meal. I feel like the manager should have checked on us and apologized. Definitely took away my appetite. Too bad, because it's a new local restaurant with potential to do well. read more

This time terrible waited for them to finally post $2 Taco Tuesday the average price Downriver for the 65 other Mexican Restaurants. Only a choice of Chicken or Hamburger Tacos, I was asked if I wanted Lettuce and Tomato WTF you say. Only available was Shredded Chicken stuffed Tacos, Terrible zero flavor. I asked if I could get Grilled Chicken NOPE not a option. I was shocked just trying to get Authentic Corn Tortillas with Meat Cilantro n Onion. What kind of Mexican BS you serving here, Don't want no TexMex food. Get with the program or just shut the door. She had a very small Chicken Fajitas was good, I Had Enchiladas not very impressed. Called in a carryout and was told you couldn't get a dinner every things is single. Had went there for dinner a week ago and got the same thing in a dinner. Before I review the food let me start off with the owner hitting my daughter in the side of the head with the bathroom door handle giving her ha quarter size knot above her ear. He only told her sorry(she is 3 years old), and proceeded into the bathroom. Leaving her to cry. The food- The food was really greasy, and we ordered chicken tenders for our kids. The chicken tenders came out undercooked (pink in the middle). They were still pink in the middle. I should have took a picture, and complain about it but I didn't because I was still frustrated and My Wife told me to just calm down and that we will never come back. I have no reason to lie about the food over what happened to my daughter. I understand that it was an accident. But honestly, the food was bad. And his apology sucked. he could have gave her a complementary ice cream or something to calm her down. The inside was really nice though I will give them that. As far as Ambiance was ok, like the decor very very tight between tables, food wise ridiculous prices I understand everything has gone up but it was beyond expensive, I ordered a vuelv a la vida cocktail, which is shrimp, octopus, oysters it was 26.99, when they brought me the humungous cup I thought no way will I finish it, well I was wrong only 2 oysters and 6 shrimp and some octopus I couldn't believe it, my brother had a medium shrimp and octopus cocktail they charged us 31.99 for his which was twice as small as mine.
