I was pleasantly surprised to hear that there were a plethora of open tables on a busy Sunday morning ... It was about 70 outside, cloudy but not too cold.... We were seated almost immediately, greeted by a pleasant young woman who took us to a comfy booth. Service quickly arrived as we ordered the usual- a water and a piping hot cup of joe. Classic. The menu was full of tantalizing options, each calling our name - "order me...." - and we struggled to decide on the Heavenly Hash, over easy, seasoned fries. Classic. A shared glance at the 'Mexican Omelette' and we knew that I had to order it once again. Served with a crispy spread of home fries and a soft side of toast? Classic. My partner nursed her coffee, a contemplative look on her face, an itch in her fingers for a cigarette. Menthol. Classic. We poured over the local paper looking for clues on our next case.. I have been going here for years for breakfast. The service is good, the food is good, atmosphere family style.

This place is awesome! My family and I walked in with a party of 7 of us. We waited 10 minutes to be seated. As this place was extremely busy. They made sure they didn't forget about us as well, for waiting. We were seated and served by our waitress Nicole. She had our meals and all our drinks served in a very timely manner. The food here is the best coney ,breakfast food locally hands down. Their French onion soup is full of flavor. The breakfast potatoes are Fresh and not frozen like alot of other places are. Basically almost every thing is fresh here and the servers are kind and warm hearted. read more

The food and service are outstanding but I do have one complaint: The acoustics. I was seated at a round table with 5 friends and couldn't hear a thing they were saying, and to raise my voice above the din would have been perceived as yelling. As a consequence, I missed out on most of the conversation unless it was circular (like playing a children's game of 'Telephone'). And no, there's nothing wrong with my ears. My hearing is fine. Stopped here after driving around looking for a breakfast spot. Great specials menu was provided as well as a drinks. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and hubby got the country style breakfast with biscuits and gravy. The Benedict was cooked perfectly, runny eggs and the white was cooked. Potatoes were buttery, crispy and delicious. Hubbys biscuits and gravy were ok, the biscuits were fresh and soft, but the gravy was pretty bland. Really good, family owned scratch made food. Recently, since Covid, they reduced their hours to only being opened for breakfast and lunch. They are not opened during dinner due to staffing. Best breakfast around! Service is always good. There is usually a wait, but don't let that stop you. The wait goes quick. I love their skillet's, veggie omelettes, the menu is pretty big so they have a lot to choose from. Good pancakes. They also serve Bloody Mary's, Mimosa's, and some liqueuers, for coffee and Baileys. A 2.5 based on our experience There were some hits and some misses. We weren't really impressed with our breakfasts. Which is a shame because it smelled so good outside and we waited for a table. I got a Mexican omelette, with a Biscuit, and he got the porky omelette with pancakes and a biscuit. I also ordered a bowl of the chicken paprikash soup. The Mexican omelette covered in chili wasn't that great, it was spicy but flavorless, and pretty small considering I wasn't able to get hash browns because they came inside the omelette. He didn't care for the all meat omelette, no salt and no sauted veggies to add any flavor. Just very plain and bland. Highlight were the pancakes, that were moist and delicious and perfect with the butter and warmed syrup. Biscuits were good soft biscuits reminiscent of KFC type biscuits. Chicken Paprikash soup with dumplings was the Winner and where my review looks up. It was rich, flavorful, soothing with a savory creamy broth speckled with paprika and chicken pieces and homemade dumplings that were delicious. I was tempted to buy another bowl to take with me and after leaving I was dissapointed that I didn't do it haha. Perhaps we ordered the wrong breakfast items, but the soup was enough to make me want to go back to try a lunch or dinner. We'll just stay away from breakfast. Now, Service was.... Odd. Our waitress seemed distracted? She was nice, just not super attentive. I'm not a big fan of having food runners, I'd like my waitress to bring it out so when were missing something or something is wrong we can talk to her instead of having the hostess go find her. read more

Been here a few times for breakfast. Always friendly staff. The waitresses stay on top of everything. Tons of choices from standard breakfast to banana bread French toast and spinach omelets. Place is clean with a remodeled look. They have a lot of employees so it is hopping and food comes out fairly quickly. Will continue to support the business. read more

It was probably one of the first places we ate at when we first moved here. I informed the waitress what my allergies were-which were quite severe. Was assured by the waitress and manager/owner that my food was not made with my allergen-even those my eyes and taste buds were telling me differently. I dissected my sandwich and there were 2 different problems with it! I took it to the head honcho and she went back and asked the cook-and came out ticked off-telling me "it wasn't much and just take off the stuff I didn't like!" I told her it's not a matter of something I don't like.. I will need to take a rescue shot-and she can take my meal off the bill as I had to go to the car as my family quickly tried to finish their meals. They didn't get refills and no visit from the waitress so they also left the restaurant without finishing their food. That woman insisted they pay for my meal- they did it to shut her up and leave. I told the owner it will be a cold day before I go back to eat their hospital cafeteria food anyway! Best thing there is the fish tank! Silverware might be dirty but the fish tank is clean although the fish are too large for their tank. Place is basic, bland, needs an update from their 70's style seating/tables. Takes a lot to put a place on my "never again!" list-but that's a place that earned it with that snotty attitude and rude behavior displayed by the boss! No thanks! read more

Well checked out of the hotel and came in for breakfast. On a Sunday the bicycle place is closed so we parked our Bobtail there and walked across lot. It was hopping today and loud! One huge table behind us left and it got quite lol!! Family get together. We were seated promptly and waitress came fast. Ordered Vegi omelet & small Greek salad plus Hawaiian omelet for the boy. They are fast and furious behind the line!! Must be 4-5 guys back there!!! As no sooner I wrote two sentences our food came out hot and ready!! Wow fabulous breakfast. I keep forgetting to add cheese on those. So she was kind enuf to take my plate and put chz on. They put it on top which was fine but they gave me fresh potatoes too. Wow! Nice touch!! Any girl that walked by filled the drinks too. After all was said n donee wanted to try the bread pudding. Omg... $3 and heated with whip cream died and went to heaven good!! I got a bite too Hee hee. It had the best custard on the bottom wow!! I could have ate one of those but glad I didn't push it ( headed to movies again today). I stopped by to pick up my carry-out order. I ordered a quart-size container of homemade chicken noodle soup. My neighbor suggested it to help me fight my illness from my recent flu. The soup was packed full of meat, vegetables, the best noodles I've ever tasted. I believe it made an enormous impact on my quick recovery.
