This is the salt they use, how do you bring your pets here with unsafe pet salt?!
    Margaret S.

I not my husband or my dog will ever come back here EVER AGAIN. Dr. Kafai is rude and not good with people or the pets! We gave them so many chances but every time the service is just horrendous. The last time we went there with my dog we went in to get her last set of boosters. Dr. Kafai had asked me to hold my puppy so he could administer the shots. So I held her and she was squirming a bit, and he addressed me "mam hold her still." #1 I am not old for you to address me in that way. #2 We have been coming to this vet for over two months, and still not vet patient relationship. He still called my female dog a he, hello my dog is obviously a female. Let me also add that after the shot my puppy was crying of pain, he is not good with administering a shot. I wanted to cry too because of the pain my baby was in! I also noticed a bump I on my puppies thigh (I discovered later through research that it was from a shot she had gotten), I asked the doctor and he simply told me "I don't know what that is." Wowwwwww...... as a concerned pet parent, you telling me that was awful. The bump was from a shot administered by another doctor and my dog's thigh had a big bump on it after! In addition too, there was not pet friendly salt on the main entrance of Dr. Kafai's clinic. When I had asked if it was pet friendLy to the girl upfront, she had told me it wasn't and to be careful. Please don't take your pet here, you will not like this place I guarantee. Rude doctors especially Dr. Kafai. And if you keep coming, he will not remember your name even if you payed then a lot of money. Passive people.

Dr Kafai took excellent care of our cat who came in as an emergency with a suspected broken paw. We had called 3 other emergency vets and he was the only one to accept him as a patient immediately. He was courteous and did not push any extras on us as some vet clinics can do. He administered xrays, pain medicaction and antibiotics all for a fair price with no surprises. I would highly recommend this vet especially for emergency care.

I continue to be very affected by how Dr. Berman 'handled' me and "treated" my dying cat last Monday - the things that were said (way too much, that muddied what was crystal clear), and the things that were done (totally unnecessary). And the things not said that absolutely should have been and without prompting on my part. I'm not innocent in my animal companion's of 16 years completely needless, multiple trauma in his last day of life, and I have to live with that. I didn't witness what he went through, but I keep replaying the images in my mind and imagining what it was like for him. And I feel tremendous pain and unremitting guilt. But the difference is that I was facing the inevitable loss of a dear friend, emotional and in denial, and Dr. Berman was the authority, (supposedly) clear-headed, objective, truthful and compassionate - basic assumptions for medical professionals holding beings' lives in their hands. I initially considered writing privately to the clinic first, but finally decided that to be taken seriously, I should engage with the clinic's leadership publicly from the start. I welcome Dr. Corrigan, the clinic's owner, reaching out to me via email for my feedback and suggestions.

I believe I am the longest standing customer still on file. 8 years ago I moved out of the area but I still drive up from downtown to have Dr. Covant tend to my pets. What I have always liked about Dr. Covant, is that he does not gouge. He will give you the options and then tell you that in his opinion the expense is not necessary at this time. Love that. That creates trust. He has performed various surgeries on various pets including neutering and has always done a splendid job and the staff has always been caring and comforting to my animals. There have been occasional exceptions in front office staff and even in one of the vets, but that just isn't the norm with the long-term staff there, and it is dealt with professionally and quickly. There is always someone to talk to about any issues, be it Dr. Covant himself, or the Office manager. Trust in your vet is of primary importance and after 34 years, I have that in spades
