This place has a lot of equipment, including barbells, squat racks, free weights, rowers, cardio equipment, and standard weight machines. It's still missing some things, but for a drop-in, it's completely fine. There weren't a ton of people there, even on a Saturday morning, so I didn't have to wait for anything. One thing I really appreciated about this gym was all the workout "supplements" they had in vending machines. Whether you opt for a natural pre-workout powder, or one that has 10,000X your daily recommended doses of caffeine and BCAA's; and whether you are looking for vegan protein powder, or more traditional whey, they have a supplement for everyone (all in single servings). So, if you forget to bring your pre- or post- workout drinks, they probably have you covered. The locker rooms were fairly large and clean. You do not have to bring your own lock. My two critiques would be their fairly limited hours, especially on weekends, and the difficulty in finding it (it's downstairs in a sort of underground mall which is half locked-up). Also, it might be a bit limited as a normal gym with a regular membership. Otherwise, it's a great place to drop in while on the road for a workout.

It's very small, in comparison to the east side gym, but also less utilized. There are 2 weight rooms, a large cardio room (treadmills, elliptical, stair-step, recumbent bikes), and a 'Nautilis' room with variety machines. If you typically do floor exercises such as crunches or planks, good luck, because there's only 2 yoga mats upstairs in a tiny little area. The heat in there can become overbearing, as there are only several fans that re-circulate hot air around the main rooms, and no A/C for cooling. Also, if you're on the elliptical machines, the fan is right above you, so you will not be feeling anything. Though the building itself is pretty darn old, all of the equipment inside seem relatively new, compared to the last Planet Fitness I visited. Let's also not forget that this gym is free to all government employees, military, or anyone with a CAC (contractors too, I think), so it's not too shabby.

The younger one enjoyed the warm up exercises, tumbling, walking forward and back on the low balance beam and swinging on the rings.. They played Duck, Duck, Goose to wrap up the class. My older one did warm up stretching exercises, and hanging on the horizontal bar, some tumbling, and then the high balance beam. She was in a class with students that had more experience, so she was eager to emulate what they were doing and watching the older much advanced girls doing the floor exercises. Friday nights will never be the same and we will listen all week, to how many days it will be until the next gymnastics class.
