Kaffee Meister makes a delicious mocha, I love the decoration/atmosphere, and the live music on regular evenings make it a wonderful place to come to. The employees have always been friendly, and there are comfortable couches as well as tables so you can read or work on projects. This place is great for your delicious coffee needs! I could tell it was going to be a great cup before I ever tasted it; they took their time cleaning the tools, a fresh grind for each cup, and a full puck before the tamp. The result was, as expected, a delicious (Italian) macchiato. They roast their own beans for everything but the dark and the decaf blends. That being said, a good pull takes a little time, so don't expect the Starbucks express cattle chute. Take 5 minutes and enjoy! read more

My first experience here was horrible. The customer service I got was really rude. I had ordered and when I got my card back the employee just threw my card back at me. He could of handed it back to me. After my order was up he just said "here is your coffee" and walked away. My favorite coffee shop in San Diego, also love visiting the Lakeside location. My go to drink is an Americano, since I'm always watching my calories. Easily the smoothest and most delicious Americano I've ever had. So much better than Starbucks. I don't ever feel the need to pour a half a cup of half-n-half in it to make it drinkable. A little bit of cream and I'm good to go! Kaffee Meister is my favorite local coffee shop! They are amazing. I came here on the first day they opened and fell in love with the atmosphere, decor, music, staff and coffee. They are friendly, kind and unique people who care about their patrons. My daughters have grown up visiting coffee houses with me and they love this one best because the baristas remember them by name and know how they like there hot chocolates. Most of the baristas are friendly but it's awkward when they don't speak up and you kind of just nod and smile because they're so quiet. They can also be really slow, it's ridiculous. I ordered an acai bowl and I waited about 20 minutes before I asked them about it and they said they forgot. I used to like kaffee meister better than Starbucks but then I realized that a large drink here costs more than a venti in Starbucks and it's not even as big. Also, having more green tea/matcha drinks would be really nice. read more

It's a roomy spot. The staff are friendly, and there is ample seating. There are menu options for coffee and tea. I was disappointed with my drink. It was a prana chia tea. It tasted like sugar and milk mostly. It cost 4 plus $ and was served in the smallest cup I've ever seen in a coffee shop or restaurant. Considering it was to go - it was comical to see the straw in contrast to the small cup. It was like clowns in the small clown car. The small - with ice cubes (because I got it iced) probably gave me a 1/4 cup of tea- small being 8oz. I guess the entire to go cup they buy is 8 oz. It seemed so ridiculous. It was so small I had to be conscious of the sips I was taking or it would be gone. Think of 8oz in your measuring cup at home - and then think how that would be in a to go cup. The cup reminded me of a cup I'd get if I ordered a single scoop of ice cream in a cup. I noticed as I sat there another customer ordered a similar iced drink in small - and saw him look quizzically at his cup. lol. I won't go back for this reason. I'm not sure for their reasoning on the sizes and pricing - it' coffee and tea - mostly water. read more

What a cute and convenient coffee shop. A great place to come and grab a cup of joe to go. I don't get the regular coffee, I enjoy expresso the most and their machine does the job. I enjoy a almond milk lattee with some pumps of their sweetener. They have a lot of flavors to choose from which makes this cafe a lot more fun to visit. This is a cute little coffee shop! I love that it's gaining popularity since its opening. I ordered a almond mull latte and it was made perfectly. The beans used were clearly of a high quality and the barista crafted a perfect latte: smooth, rich, creamy, wonderful. They didn't have unsweetened almond milk, but it didn't ruin the latte for me.
