I stopped by Jaunt Coffee Roasters after having heard good things from a couple people in passing. What you'll notice first is the somewhat difficult parking situation--it's in a lot with a number of other popular businesses, so parking can be sparse. That said, this is some of the best coffee in San Diego. It's worth the parking situation. I ordered an oat milk cortado and a whole milk latte. Both were delicious--balanced, flavorful, and showcasing serious attention to detail. My mom said the latte was one of the best she has ever had. The store itself has a cute and fun interior that's welcoming. They have tons of seating, including booths, high-tables, and even a big wrap lounge chair. The staff are really friendly and helpful people who smile, offer suggestions, and engage you authentically. Heard this place does coffee subscriptions so we were curious and decided to stop by. Tried their orange ginger cold brew and their seasonal smoked rosemary cappuccino. Both were refreshing and very tasty. Highly recommend both. The service was fantastic. Everyone that worked there was kind and lovely but special shout out to John who excitedly explained all of the different beans (we wanted to take a bag home) and their specialty drink options. He was patient with all of our questions and very knowledgeable about where to steer us. It looked like they had empanadas but they also have cheesecake! We got a slice of the biscoff cheesecake and it was hella tasty. A lot of people were in here working which was nice. There are a lot of seating options and the AC was on which was ALSO very nice. Service is friendly and the place is always bustling, but I find their drinks to be veryyy milky. I always order their iced Rose Vanilla Latte and though it's usually milk forward, my most recent visit was such a disappointment (see attached photo). The color of the latte was noticeably off due to the high volume of milk. It just tasted like flavored milk with a hint of coffee. The empanadas are decent and the salsa that comes with them has quite a kick, but I really only come here out of convenience as there aren't many coffee shops in the area. Parking is usually a little bit tough, but you can always count on finding street parking a short walk away. Overall, not a place that I'd recommend if I'm looking for a good latte. read more

If you're looking for a nice summer drink, I suggest trying this one out. Another drink i got was the Vanilla with banana cold foam with toffee. The banana cold foam literally taste like a frozen banana, crazy right? Cold foam is perfect right amount of sweetness with that strong banana flavor. Place can be packed over the weekend, so arrive early or expect a little wait, but generally it moves fast. The pastries are very popular along with the Empanadas. Jaunt Coffee is easily one of my favorite coffee shops. I've been coming here for the past couple of years and it truly never disappoints. They have amazing coffee with a great variety of flavors, and their pastries are always on point. I also love that they bring in empanadas from a local spot , such a nice touch and perfect if you want something more filling. Since moving to a bigger location a few doors down, there's a ton of space both indoors and outdoors, which makes it a great place to hang out or get some work done. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. It does get crowded and there's almost always a line, but it moves pretty efficiently and is definitely worth the wait. One of my favorite things about this place is their "pay it forward" wall with sticky notes, where people can pre-pay for drinks for others who might need it. Such a thoughtful and community-driven idea. The interior is super cute, they even have books for kids, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Overall, just an all-around amazing spot. This place is so nice. The beautiful espresso machines, the wood accents, the plants, it's gorgeous inside. The barista was very friendly and helpful. I love that they ask your sweetness level when you order. I wanted to get my wife a pastry but they were sold out of pretty much everything. I sure they stay busy in the morning and I didn't get there until after 11. I ordered the Cinnamon Cardamom latte which was really good and cinnamon forward. Unfortunately I did not get any of the cardamom flavor which is what I was hoping for and why I ordered it. Either way it was a good latte and I will for sure be back to this place. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!! We visited this coffee shop because we wanted to try the Muse Cheesecakes by the slice so we can sample more flavors. That went amazing. The burnt basque cheesecakes--every single flavor--will make your mouth do a crazy happy dance. I'm over the moon that this coffee shop offers that option. But we're not here to talk about the cheesecakes. While we were waiting, I decided to try one of the drink specials they were offering that day. I got the Ube Latte with Salted Vanilla Cold Foam (and espresso). And let me tell you this--it's *the best* ube latte I've had thus far. And I've tried several different ones. It was so creamy and flavorful without it being too sweet. The ube was prominent but not too overwhelming, and the cold foam was super delish and made the drink a bit more decadent. I couldn't pass up the chance to let the barista know how much I loved the drink she made and I definitely need to sing praise for this coffee shop here because it deserves it! The place is nestled in a shared building space with a brewery, a cake place, and a salsa place. It has an awesome feel when you walk in, and the staff was very knowledgeable. I'm a chai fanatic but being vegan some times I can't order chai because they add honey. The informed me that they make it inhouse and that most of their concentrates and syrups are already vegan friendly unless there isn't an option for alternative milks for that specific drink. My husband also ordered his go to Vanilla Oat Milk Latte, the atmosphere alone will make me want to come back. The Chai was really good, and their vanilla oat latte was tasty too. Somebody had recommended this roaster and we finally got the chance to stop by here on our way coming back from Anaheim to San Diego. Place is pretty hidden aways and not that close to main highways. It's located like in a warehouse section of the city. But wow when we got here the place was packed. Lots of parking and all the seating area full outside and inside. Their variety of coffees, teas and some specialty drinks was extensive. Ambiance was relaxed, cozy and buzzing with interesting coffee drinkers. There are tables and other type of seats. They did have food but are limited in their empanadas. They didn't have any left so I couldn't try one We ordered a regular latte and a Cinnamon Cardamon Latte with almond milk. Wow delicious this drink and the coffee bean quality excellent! We ended buying two bags of coffee beans to take home for our expresso machine. My husband found this super cute little hidden gem on our way back to Arizona for our weekend at the Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival. The coffee shop had a pretty chill vibe. They had seating inside and outside. Overall, I thought the coffee was delicious. The sweetness was on point . The flavor of the coffee did not overpower the flavor of the ingredients used.
