Pua shared the story behind Miffy with us, and later shared some Hawaiian cultural history with us. She was very proud of her Hawaiian culture and rightfully so. The store was bright and inviting. I initially left without Miffy, but had to come back and pick up an adorable Miffy keyring to remind me of the kind interaction we had with Ms. Pe'a. She was a delight and a great representative of her business and culture.

Even picked up two Açaí Bowls -- they were a bit expensive at $15 each (cash only), but totally worth it. Possibly the best Açaí on the island (Maui). Shame the Swap Meet is only open on Saturdays; would've loved to come again. Also, forgot to note down the name of the Açaí shop, but it's all good. If visiting Maui -- as either a local or tourist -- this one is a definitely must-go spot! Last visited: January 17, 2026

Parking is easy enough, entrance fee is only $1, and there are quite a bit of vendors to browse through. There are some artists and specialty craft booths but I think a lot of the booths just sell mass produced items or just junk. We did check out some of the food stalls but we only ended up getting coffee and the poke near the back. I think if you're into souvenirs and trinkets, this is a great place to go.

5/11/26 When I used to visit Maui years ago, this was a bustling shopping mall with the major…read moreanchor stores of Sears, JC Penny, & Macy's/Liberty House, & a movie theater. While waiting for a family member at their appt, I went window shopping to check it out. Sad to see this place has fallen like other major malls across the country since covid & looking like a ghost town. The only anchor store left is Macy's. Their food court on the 2nd floor has dwindled to just a handful of choices: L & L BBQ, Panda Expess, Pearl Korean BBQ. There's also a pretzel place on the 2nd floor but near the Fun Factory. Downstairs was a Starbucks, Jamba Juice, and a Mexican restaurant. But there still are some other popular stores like Bath & Body Works, Victoria Secret, Ben Franklin, & even a Cat Cafe where you can play with cats for a fee or adopt. Still a lot of empty store spaces advertising for lease. The mall itself is a beautiful mall to walk thru. It's open-air with a tarp like cover that lets the trade winds blow thru. Ample parking with a huge covered parking structure in the back. I enjoyed visiting this mall, it was just sad to see it half empty.
