Really ruins the chill vibe of the Pools area to have such insanely loud music blaring from 9 to 11pm most nights. Patrons smoke outside and litter cigarette butts all over the street. I had to move hotels from la Casa verde because the noise was so insane. This isn't a frat town. Or a spring break town. Tone down the music for the sake of everyone that actually wants to get up at 730am and go for a surf instead of puking their guts out and stumbling to Jack's shack smelling like depression. read more

They are ruining the natural peacefulness of the area, and it's difficult to sleep if you are staying nearby. People come to this side of the island to enjoy nature and quiet. Appalling This establishment is a disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves. My family is staying right across the street and an employee stopped him earlier in the evening and told him and my cousin they should come listen to the DJ they were having tonight. He decided to walk over to grab a drink and instantly was racially profiled and ask to lift his shirt up and taken to the kitchen to do so. Mind you he is Puerto Rican. (born and raised in the United States) The last time I checked we were in Puerto Rico so sorry he didn't fit the gringo surfer mold. He was thoroughly embarrassed and the fact that your guy called out imperfections from a surgey is even more disgraceful. I must say once again shame on you, the amount of people coming in and no one else was searched and being told things like you're making people uncomfortable. We spent over $300 two nights ago and it will be the last time we will ever step foot in this whole again. It was our first day in Rincon and we were sweltering trying to "Rock Bottom", until we asked directions and found that it was the same as "Casa Verde" and "Kahuna Burger Bar and Grill". The burgers are INCREDIBLE. I got the Kali Burger (which was delicious). My dining companions enjoyed their Rock Bottom Burger and Mahi Mahi Burger (I tried this and it was delicious). It's also really chill place to get lunch and get some beers. Bottled water is $2 and bottled beer is $3.50. On the down-side: It's a little pricey, the service was very slow, and there was no A/C which made me dock a star. read more

We just moved to Puerto Rico and this is a restaurant you should 100% avoid at all cost. This was probably the worst service I have received anywhere in the world. The bartender definitely hates his life. Do not bother to ask him any questions about the menu because you will just be answered by rude remarks if he answers at all. We had to basically stand up and beg to get his attention. We winded up just paying for the food we never received and leaving. DONT GO HERE. Disclaimer: I am a restaurant owner from the states who is from a family in the industry, so writing this review is extremely disappointing to me. Came to this restaurant on two separate occasions w my friends, both times we were turned away. First they said the bartender didn't want to come down to serve us (even tho we said we would come up and get the drinks and essentially serve ourselves) they still rejected us. We were upset that we were turned away and decided to try again the next day and give them the benefit of the doubt. We went back again the next day and were told no because the bartenders were scared it might rain. We asked if we could get a singular drink Togo and they said no. We offered our business multiple times and were met with nothing but disdain and rejection. We were a large group w multiple people who would've had a fat tab and were turned away for an unknown reason. A bunch of locals looked us up and down and told us to go elsewhere. Unclear if this is just a spot for locals or if the bouncer is just racist??? Either way disgusting and they absolutely do not deserve your business. We were treated like literal garbage for no reason. Do NOT give this restaurant your business!!! They turned away a group of tourists behind us too. Tourists stay away!!!! The bouncers job is to literally actively turn away paying customers even though their failing business is only at half capacity at all times. If the owner bothers to read this, check out your bouncers! They are actively destroying your business and turning all patrons away. Again, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! They simply do not want your money and quiet frankly, do NOT deserve it. Really bad service! The bartenders simply are not attentive nor care to be attentive. ALSO, as a bartender myself allow me to lay down a little pro tip: I saw the bartenders refilling empty Tito's bottles instead of replacing them when they're empty. THAT IS VERY ILLEGAL! Went in pretty late on Monday night. The place was busy, but not packed. Service was very attentive and friendly. I got the rock bottom burger. It was huge and delicious. They let you order burgers cooked to your desired temp. I ordered mine medium and it was cooked perfectly. I'm not usually a big mayo person but their garlic mayo was delicious. Jalapeños were fresh and spicy. Drinks were nice and strong. Will definitely return when I make it back to Rincon. read more

We recently moved to Rincon (post Maria). Not having power we ended up here, since it's within walking distance from our new home. It became our daily communication hub with the neighbors. Pedro and his bartenders (Lamar and Caleb) we're just the best of the best! After a few days it seemed like we were in Cheers. The beer was super cold, they had TV, and they had ice for cocktails. Due to the storms aftermath the menu was limited but the burgers and fries were delicious. After a few weeks they added a chicken sandwich (awesome) and Cesar salad (best one so far). I love Kahuna Burger. The atmosphere is laid back and the music is nice while you eat and mingle. Our waitress was a curly haired brunette who was very attentive. The first visit we had a pollo loco and rock bottom classic. My pollo loco was way too wet. The buffalo sauce and ranch drenched my bread and made it soggy. It had a good taste but the chicken wouldn't stay in the bun. Needless to say, I just vegged out on my fries. My bff had the rock bottom and it was yummy. It had a bit of a kick from the jalapeno but not too much. The second time we came, I repeated my order but asked that they hold my ranch. My bff had wings. When our food came out, her wings were so cold and old tasting like they were sitting out. My Sandwich was still too wet. By this time we just left and checked out a new place to eat. My friends and I visited Kahuna Burger Bar for drinks and dinner on a Sunday night. It's located above a store and is an open air restaurant. The first thing I noticed was the large display of various hot sauces. This was heaven for my friend and I! We spent some time choosing sauces we couldn't get back home to try with our burgers. I ordered the sliders specifically so that I could try different sauces on each one. The fries were fresh, not frozen, and delicious. The burgers were juicy and cooked to temp. The bartenders were super friendly and accommodating. They checked in throughout the evening and even changed the music at one point upon our request to dance! This low key restaurant is built into the Casa verde hotel. They have a small menu but excellent food. The burgers are probably the best in Rincon and the fish is fresh and delicious. They serve hand cut fries and are only few steps from sandy beach. This is the perfect place for post beach drinks, lunch or dinner. They are clean and consistent. read more
