I've been going there for the past 2 years when I lived in Hollywood, FL, and now I'm traveling from coral gables, as I have not been able to find the same quality salon out here. The people that work the front desk are always nice on the phone and in person. You get seated essentially immediately upon arrival to your appointment after you wash your hands (another touch I appreciate, as hygiene is top priority). The salon is cute and clean and the ambience is relaxing. For reference, I always get dip manicure and regular pedicure and as far as dip, I haven't been able to find any salon that matches this salon's quality. All the nail technicians are very well trained (I've been with Emie, the older male technician (sorry I don't remember his name, but he was great) and most recently Kiki, all amazing!). My dip comes out gentle, natural looking and not thick like in some places, they shape the nails so beautifully (I've been to places where they shaped my nails and the tips were off center). And most importantly, my nails DON'T chip (they last me 3 weeks at which point I get them done again), which has been a problem in most other salons I've been to in South Florida. Excellence. I've searched far and wide for a place like this. Professional, efficient, and hygienic. Staff is courteous and polite. I was relieved to find that they offer zelle, cash app, and Venmo for tipping but I will be bringing cash next time. Kikky gave me a gel manicure and classic pedicure. I'm a nurse who is on her feet four times a week 12 to 13 hours a day, and washes her hands more than 20 times a day. Might I add that I'm not the most diligent in moisturizing between hand washes, therefore you can imagine what my cuticles and nails look like. She did some major damage control. I chose Funny Bunny by OPI and she made sure it came out streak-free and opaque enough to look even. I tend to be shy and quiet so the best part for me is that that I didn't have to ask her to do this. Highly recommend Kikky and the place in general. I was then directed to my pedicure station about 3 chairs away from the next person. I love when appointment times are honored, even when there are walk-ins seated waiting to be serviced. COVID PRECAUTIONS: -temperature taken upon check-in -hand washing after check-in -During my 90ish minutes here, I witnessed someone cleaning/disinfecting areas about every 15 minutes, in addition to each station a minutes after use. The classic pedicure is $27 and the gel manicure is $32 which matches the prices quoted on their website. My pedicure was just how I like it: quick but thorough, professional, and pain-free. I received my manicure right after, no wait in between. Momo provided both of my services and was extremely friendly. Would come back. Came here because I'll admit I was enticed by the 20% off total. I have a place I've been going to in Miramar, but it is more expensive and further away. However, I've always been pleased with the service and results. Anyway, I came into today just to get a dip powder manicure. I was a walk in and I saw it was pretty dead inside and it was nearly 11 AM. I know they're still a new establishment, but anyway I was seated rather quickly. I had a fairly nice woman, I can't remember her name, but she made some small talk with me. She started to take off my dip powder in a manner I've never really seen before. Usually, they put acetone on your nails then wrap them in foil to allow for easy removal. She, however, appeared to use a method that took a bit longer. She basically filed my nails with the nail drill thing over and over again, and in conjunction had me dip my entire hand into a bowl of acetone. It took about 25 minutes, but eventually, my old dip powder came off. Then I selected my color and she proceeded to apply them. This is the only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars. While she did the removal and application she was lowkey bashing my previous dip nail design from my old establishment. It was kind of uncomfortable since I actually really liked my old ombre nails. Sadly, she was telling me they weren't proper ombre nails. Even if they "weren't" I was happy with them and I got MANY compliments from them. Then as the conversation went on, I could feel the slight pressure to get more things done at the salon. Which, to be fair, I understand the hustle when you're a new business but I have my own budget to worry about. Them: "No eyebrows today?" Me: Not today. Them: "Want pedicure with nails?" Me: No, not today. Some people might now care, but I'm weird about this type of business tactic. Finally, at the end of my manicure, this part isn't necessarily their fault, more mine. I wasn't thrilled with the color I chose. I like glittery nail polish, but I'm not a fan of ones that have chunky glitter. On the demo nail, it looked much finer but as the finished results it looked a bit too childish and not sophisticated enough for me. It's like...I don't hate it but I'm not in love with the final result for the color. Everything I like: nail shape, nail art on ring finger, etc. Will I come back here? I'm not sure if I'm honest. Dao was amazing! Got a gel mani, and i have to say that I've been to some bougie salons and haven't had as great customer service as I did here. It was very clean, all the tools were in sanitized bags. I hope they keep up the good customer service, the cleanliness, and the attention to detail when doing the mani. I have been on the hunt for a new nail spot, and think I finally found a gem here. This place is tucked in the back of a strip mall, much like everything in Florida. But, walk inside and you feel like you're in a whole other world! It is beyond relaxing! You are greeted upon walking in the door and escorted to your manicure or pedicure chair. Everything matches in a good way and is super clean and put together. They even have coffee, tea, water, etc for you to choose from. I got a dip manicure. The cost of the service was $40 which is about the going rate in the Davie area. I will admit, they don't have a ton of colors to choose from like other spots I have been to, but definitely enough for you to find a color you're looking for. My nails came out great! Super smooth finish and filing was all the same shape and length. This sounds like something that should come with every manicure you get at any place, but it isn't folks! I was looking for a new nail salon as my old salon has been seriously lacking in their customer service. I was looking on yelp and came across Kai's Nail Spa and they had great reviews so I decided to give them a try. I sent a request for an appointment (not thinking they would reply right away) and to my surprise they responded immediately. I made an appointment for that same day. When I arrived I was seated right away and offered a drink (tea, coffee, soda or wine). They brought the color palettes over to me and gave me time to chose my color. Tammy did my pedicure and let me tell you she did an awesome job. She took her time and rubbed all the stress out of my feet. Only thing I would have liked was if they would have began soaking my acrylic nails off during my pedicure in order to save some time, but that wasn't a big deal for me. After my pedicure, Tony began my nails. He was really nice and down to earth. Anyone who knows me knows that I rarely talk when I'm at the nail salon because that is my time to relax and as a social worker, I talk all day long to my clients, but Tony was just really cool and the conversation was just natural. I did the dipping powder and Tony did an awesome job on my nails. The shop itself is so clean, quiet and relaxing. She was able to make me an appointment to arrive 15 minutes later, which I am so incredibly thankful for. As a side note, she exemplified customer service, so if the managers are reading this, please know she's incredible! Arrived for my appointment and was immediately greeted, offered a beverage, and seated. I decided to get a basic mani/pedi and Pink was my technician. Pink is also an absolute sweetheart and an incredible nail tech. She's incredibly meticulous and will make sure that you are completely satisfied with your nails. Lastly, and importantly, they are incredibly affordable! Or maybe not, I'm here from Chicago, so maybe it's just compared to Chicago prices IDK. But I felt like this was such a bargain and I'm a very happy customer. CLEANLINESS. I can't believe I almost forgot to mention this. After a change in schedule with my job, I ended up being off this past Saturday, and decided to get my nails done while I had the time. I normally go to a different salon but they were doing a private event so they wouldn't be able to take me. I started looking for places and Kai's nails had great reviews so I emailed them. Firstly I was super impressed because I emailed them at 5:05 on a Saturday, then realized they closed at 6pm. I didn't think I would get in but they told me if I could be there at 5:20 they would do the full set. I got there at 5:20 and was immediately seated and started on. They set me up with Tony, who did an amazing job let me say. I'm extremely picky about my nail shape because I have shorter hands, and if the shape isn't correct they don't look right. Tony asked me what shape and length I would like and that was the last thing I had to say besides my color choice! Without me chiming in once, he got the shape exactly how I like them, and got them done pretty quickly. In all my years of getting my nails done, never have I sat in a chair and not had to say anything about how I like the nails, and have them come out so perfectly. My dipped nails weren't chunky and tip of my nails were filed down to perfection. He took his time and I really appreciated that.
