I get my nails done (dip & pedi) every 2 weeks and was hoping to find a new nail salon, but my experience was not good. The nail tech never told me her name and was on the phone talking throughout my service there, which I think is just rude. I never talk on the phone when I'm getting my nails done for that very reason. As far as the work itself, she put on only two coats of the dip color. The nails aren't smooth and, one week later, it's already lifting at the cuticles. Plus I told her that two of my fingers are crooked and to look at the nails from the back to ensure they are evenly filed. She said people look at it from the top, and I told her I understood but I see it from the bottom and I'd like them even. Of course, they're lopsided so I fixed them when I got home. Nothing like giving the customer what she wants! (She did a good job of cleaning up an ingrown toenail, but that nail now keeps splitting and I have to file it each day.) Needless to say, I won't go back. Number one? I think not. read more

I tried Number One Nails for the first time about a week ago. I was impressed by their appointment only system and acrylic partitions during this time of Covid-19. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure for $61. It was quite expensive but, I understand that during these times prices have gone up. The manicurist didn't really take her time and seemed to rush through the manicure. About 4 days later the top part of the gel (closer to the cuticle) already started to lift. That has never happened to me before so soon after a manicure. The pedicurist did a great job except the "massage" was literally about 5 seconds each foot. Very disappointing a especially after being in quarantine so long. Overall, everything looked pretty. However, the fact that 4 days later the gel started to lift, shows that the manicurist did not do a very good job at all. I will not be returning. read more

LOVE this salon!!! Greeted with a hug every time. They treat me like family. Friendly, accommodating staff. Make an appointment so you don't have to wait. They can always squeeze me in for a last minute appointment if needed. But you will have to wait "5 minutes." That's why they're my go to! They have hosted several parties for me, Bridal and Birthday! Great time. Super fun. I supplied the decorations, however the shop was all to ourselves. They had enough staff for all the members of the party so no one had to wait or was left out. Affordable and reasonable pricing. Basic nails are best, I wouldn't recommend nail designs here. Honestly the whole experience was okay. They rushed through and didn't ask me too much if I liked what was being done. The massage for the pedicure was fast unfortunately, but my toes look phenomenal. She also got me a water and made sure I liked the color of my toes which I appreciate. I told them I want my nails and toes to match so when I saw the color on my nails way lighter than my toes I asked the man doing my nails if it was the same color he said it was but because I had acrylic on my nails and not my toes the colors didn't match. My toes are a nude pink my nails a Pepto-Bismol pink. I told him I want them the same color so we might have to do a different base color. He just said it was similar and kept doing the same color. So I let him finish and I didn't like the color. The shape is beautiful but the color wasn't flattering for my skin tone. I was visibly upset but didn't say anything. Then after paying $140 before a tip I decided to go back in and asked him to change the color. He did have an attitude said it'd be $10 to change the color but after he finished he rightfully didn't charge me. I don't know if I'll be back but if you go make sure to speak up for what you want. (Also he didn't oil my cuticles after I went back in but I wasn't about to ask) read more

It's like magic fairy dust! Wahla! Clear at the end. First time here... Yes it is! Had a great Xperia was here today. Brand new. They just opened 4 months ago. Clean and well decorated. Tuan went the extra mile to ensure my nails are perfect. He did a pink ombré with colored acrylic and holographic powder accents. Dorn is a true artists. The name of this nail place is spot on- it really is my number one nail place. I drive pretty out of my way just to go to this place because I haven't found anywhere better in all of south Florida. The service is great, the owners are so nice and welcoming. The salon is beautiful and clean. You are always offered a bottle of water and cup of fruit upon arrival. An older man did a full set for me, I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he totally brushed away the picture I showed..I guess he has good memory? It looked NOTHING like I asked (again, I showed a picture for him). One hand looks almond shape while the other looks oval shaped, the lengths are not even, and some are so crooked. And of course, because he didn't pay attention to the picture, he forgot to add the gems I wanted so he just placed them on in a hurry and they looked so sloppy :( I PAID $80!!!! Most nail spas are outdated and not very well maintained, but not Number One Nails Spa. It is very clean, new pedicure chairs, nice decor and an air system that keeps that typical nail salon smell outside. It's great!! Number One, more like Number NEGATIVE One. I came here because my usual nail lady was fully booked before my trip. I had heard from friends this place was re-done from the previous owner and the staff was amazing. I called Monday morning, and had an appointment by 5:30pm that same day. I should have known better than to leave when it was 6:00pm and the tech had not started my pedicure. Sure, they give you water and a fruit cup, but I'm not here for a relaxing day, I'm here to look like a decent individual for my trip, thanks. I told the guy I had dip powder on from the beginning. 1.5 hours later, he finally wrapped my fingers in acetone and began the removal process. My pedicure STILL wasn't finished. So by now it's 7:30pm and I still haven't had my manicure. He finally finishes my pedicure and hands me off to another individual for my dip. This man is great for acrylics and dip powder, I would come back just for that. Except, instead of using dip powder as the top coat, he uses gel instead. Which does not last as long as dip powder. Would I come back? Probably not. They look like they just opened, as I knew the individual who owned this salon before and sold it, so I will assume they are relatively new. So I work in the plaza so I decided to try out this new nail salon for a pedicure and dip nails. I walk in and am greeted warmly by the man working the front desk he offers me soda or water. Unfortunately I don't remember the guy who did my nails (he had medium length hair) but he gave me one of the best mani pedis I've ever gotten. He took his time, gave me advice throughout and left my nails looking AMAZING! I got a 30% discount since it's their current promo so I got a very good discount. When walked in, the technician asked at me from the back of the store what I needed (pedicure), she then walked up and said it would be five minutes. There was a lot of loud, talking amongst the employees in their language. When I was seated in a chair, the tech went to the back of the store, exited the door leading to the outside, came back with a white garbage bin filled with water and filled my foot bath. Another employee came over and told me there would not be hot water. I asked ", is there a problem with the water?" she said "oh if you want hot water, I can boil you some". She put a bowl of water in the microwave. Someone else came and put more cool water from a bucket in my foot bath then they put the bowl of microwaved water in the foot bath. I voiced my concerns and said that this was my first time visiting there, and that I was losing all confidence. She asked if I wanted to come back later. My mom has been displaced due to hurricane Ian. I have never been there before. She went for a mani pedi. While they had some negative reviews, they were close, and were open on Sunday so we gave it ago. I've never experienced such rude and bad behavior by the staff or who appeared to be the owner. Upon picking my mom up, the woman who appeared to be the owner continuously yelled "Your mom old...Your mom old...and she talked to name unk (I believe he was give a name like whoever the rude beyond middle aged man) too much." My mom's toe was bleeding, and you could tell the manicure was a mess because it there was no top coat. ALL of the negative reviews you read about this place are true. DO NOT go there! Sad to say that my Wife came here today and the owners and employees treated her like a piece of garbage. The owner cut her nails too short, so she asked why did you cut them so short?? As they were all too involved in thier card game & then he went on to say that he wouldn't finish them for her to leave, was ganged up on and even physically shoved away from the buisness from the female owner. She called me frantic in shambles. Honestly I should press charges!! I own a family business in the same vicinity so I rushed over there to see what was happening and as I calmly & respectfully came in to speak to the owner they said "oh that's the husband, I'm calling 911" never in my life have I witnessed an owner talk to Clients like this and not take responsibility for thier actions. What a disgrace of a company. Beware of this business, and spread the news. This will be going onto the BBB and any and all other avenues to spread the world of misconduct. I hope Karma comes and visits everyone involved in this effort to mistreat us. You should all feel embarrassed treating people human beings like this. read more
