I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had thumbprint cookies. I'm a huge fan of thumbprint cookies. There's something so nostalgic about them from when I was a child. What makes their thumbprint cookies the best is that they make them with caramel! Most bakeries don't sell thumbprint cookies and that ones that do, I've never seen them with caramel. These are little amazing nuggets of goodness! If their shortbread was a little more tender, it would probably be the #1 bakery item, I've ever had. The magic is in the caramel! It's so soft, gooey and perfectly sweet. It's the perfect pairing with the lightly sweetened shortbread. Since I had the cookies, I haven't stopped thinking about them. Came back into town for the day with my kids and I made sure this was our first stop! I will give you a heads up that the parking is a little funky, but nothing major. I'll be back soon!

We found her from a wedding show and after tasting her cake, we kept thinking about it and went back for seconds and even thirds. That said it all! In fact, after meeting with Vicki and tasting all of the flavors, we couldn't narrow down our choices. We had 3 flavors of wedding cake and 2 flavors of groom's cake. For only a 90 person wedding reception!!! No regrets. Delicious. I wish I had some right now. The consultation with Vicki was a collaborative effort and just like what I had imagined, she literally took out a sketch pad and before our very eyes drew our wedding cake. It was better than I had pictured. On the wedding day, it was almost perfect. The only negative I would say is that there were a couple elements of the cake that didn't translate exactly as planned. The cake was supposed to have a corset back like my dress but it had buttons instead. Also there were going to be replicated brooches (also from my dress) but instead the ones on the cake were exactly like the ones from her shop and nothing like the ones I was asked to send her. To the guests, no one would know the difference. To me, it wasn't what we had discussed and was a bit disappointing. The taste, however, was still there.
