The girl took way too long pushing back My cuticles and had me soak my nails for way too long. The manicurist was way too inexperienced. I never got hand lotion. Just found this place randomly, and I am SO SO happy!! Paula is the best (and also such a lovely person). I'm a little picky when it comes to manicures bc I feel like too often you are rushed in and out and small details get missed. This gel manicure is FLAWLESS. I visited this place yesterday and Paola was my nail technician. She was very attentive and professional, and actually listened to me when I described exactly what I wanted! I love a simple, neat and short gel manicure and she did an amazing job. The woman who she had worked on before me was just finishing up as I came in, and she had a very elaborate Cardio B style manicure which also looked amazing so I have 100% confidence that Paolo can do just about anything really well! Ambience: C+ Cleanliness: A Customer Service: C- Pedicure: C Price -They aren't the least expensive option in the area, but I would say they are in the low end of the price range. Atmosphere -It is a hole in the wall nail place, and I don't mean that in a derogatory way. It's clean, which is always the most important thing but it's certainly not luxurious. Customer Service -I will say that the person who did my nails was friendly and fairly attentive, although he didn't listen to me when I (several times) asked him not to cut my cuticles. My issue with the costumer services was some of the conversations other nail techs were having. At one point a gentlemen, who I assumed was a friend of the businesses, came in and began having a conversation with two of the nail technicians. The conversation was very political in nature and some comments were rather inappropriate (several rude jokes about Latinos were made). Although I am not Latino, I found these comments offensive and to be perfectly honest even if they were talking about politics that I agreed with its not what I would have liked to be hearing about while getting my nails done. I think there is a time and place for political rants, and I don't think it is while you're at work. The Pedicure -My pedicure was okay. It was not great by any means, but I'd say that for the price I paid it was worth it. My friend, however, got a design on her's and it looked like a child's finger painting and ended up smudging within a few hours. So that wasn't good... Overall I don't think I'll be back. If I was judging just based on the pedicure itself I might give them another shot based just on their low price, but with the lack of professionalism AND a shoddy job on our feet, I think I'll have to pass. read more

I'm a summer resident and I've been trying different salons. I read the reviews and tried Polish and Pamper. I called ahead and they took me right away. The young woman was very nice, worked hard, just didn't do a very good job. They do not use disposable individual use kits. When I questioned this, she told me they clean them. However she was sharing the metal items with the client next to me. Again, I said something and they took out an 'opened' kit. While I was there, two women came back because their nails fell off within one week. The woman next to me had her toes painted 3 times because the color she chose ran out,twice. As I left I feel my tech was unhappy with me gratuity. All in all, not going back read more

After reading reviews and checking prices, I went here in the early summer for a basic manicure/pedicure. The prices here are very reasonable, the work is professional and I feel my nails were done as well as salons that charged $40 for the same service. I also have had gel powder on my nails and they last almost 3 weeks! The place is small, but clean. You might have to wait, but the price is worth it. Tuesdays are Senior Discount days -10% on all manicures or pedicures. (Waxing not included) Other discounts are in the works and there is a card offered to stamp for frequent users. The owner of the salon recently lost his mother (and co-worker) to cancer. He is trying to build the business up again. If you want basic services-gel powder, mani/pedi or gel polish for a reasonable price give them a try! read more

The place is clean and small. They didn't use a warm towel at end of manicure n pedicurethe jets for the pedicure wasn't on. But mostly important the owner didn't accept the yelp coupon for $10.00 off, it also said 10percent for seniors on Tuesdays. He wouldn't accept that either. He stated that was from the previous owner. the new owner is Nails by Edwin. They should change the sign on the outside of the building. read more

I just left this place 30 minutes ago and my JEL nail polish is already peeling off. I made an appointment and said on the phone I have stiletto nails and the guy said no problem I'm the only one who can do it. I said no problem. Okay well why when I get there you say I have to be with the women when you said only you can do it. Well it took over 30 mins to take off my nail polish. And to top it off it's already off. I also said don't shorten my nails but she kept making them shorter. Worst place ever read more

Well, I though this place looked promising with a lot of great reviews, however I was disappointed. I wanted ombré nails and showed the woman several pictures and she said she could do it. Unfortunately it wasn't at all what I wanted. See pics below. I didn't leave the salon until they soaked the gel off, because I would have been too embarrassed. Before going to Polish and Pamper I went online and read the reviews. They were mostly good. I just can't understand those people who gave it a bad review because it was unclean...not true, or those that said the workers were rude...also not true. This was my first experience at this establishment and I found it very relaxing, the work done was of impeccable quality, the atmosphere was very relaxing and friendly. I am definitely a happy camper and will be going back repeatedly...they have a permanent customer. Keep up the good work Polish and Pamper! First off if I could I would give them a 0 star rating. I am here in New York for a little bit with my Boyfriend who has a job here and researched online nail salons in area with good reviews this place had the best for the area I was in so I decided to give it a shot. Pulling up to the place had me leery from the start, looked to be in a bad neighborhood and shady, walking in didn't give me anymore of a first impression because of how unclean it was. I asked the guy how much for a dip powder (gel powder SNS) manicure and to have my toes painted with regular nail polish... he said 35 for nails and 8 for toes which is what it is at home. So i said okay. They sat me down to paint my toes as they were... from where i'm from they usually clip and file/shape them and paint them for 10. So i asked the guy if he could maybe trim them and he got annoyed... but he trimmed them down and then he went to paint them.... they are not even shaped or filed... I had to ask for that to be done. He said it would be 2 more dollars for that. I said okay. So then I asked how much to do a french tip on my nails instead of all over color and he said 50 instead of 35 to do french manicure. At home it's only 5 dollars more for french. I was like yeah okay I will just do all over color then but was clear that I wanted a manicure. Well they ended up doing my color but never did the manicure. I let it go seeing as it took them 2 hours just to do what they did when it would have taken an hour at home. When I go to pay they charged me 35 for SNS powder nail color manicure and 10 for toes... I mentioned that I didn't get a manicure though so why am I paying full price for one... he then said that is what they charge for just powder color... My nails with a manicure usually last me 3 weeks at home, having them done at this place I know they will only last a week maybe a week and a half because they didn't give me the manicure i needed and asked for.
