This was one of the worst nail salon experiences I've had, and I will absolutely never return. Appointments clearly mean nothing here--don't waste your time making one because they will take walk-ins ahead of you without hesitation. Completely disorganized and disrespectful of customers' time. They definitely talk about their clients, comment on tips, etc. I wish I could completely understand the language but recorded a conversation and had a friend interpret. WOW!! The woman who answers the phone at the front is shockingly rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, she also did my nails, and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. She was extremely rough, careless, and I left with glue all over my fingers--it honestly looked like a messy DIY job with zero attention to detail. It's very telling that she doesn't seem to have her own regular clients and only handles walk-ins. After this experience, it's obvious why. The only redeeming part of this place is that John and Serena are good nail techs. That's it. One or two competent people can't make up for the overall lack of professionalism and poor service. I wish they would post more accurate prices on their website. I went to get a gel manicure ($35), wanted tips (price needed) and french (says it's 5$ more). I ended up paying $80 for the manicure. I have also noticed that some of my nails are crooked, which is upsetting after paying more than I expected to. Massage was great though and pedicure was also great. read more

I asked to remove the gel color because I had not like the color I chose, she said can you hurry up and make up your mind? I asked her if it would cost even more to remove the gel ?she responded with, do you want to color yes or no, I don't have time for this. I asked her to please remove the color. She then pulled out the drill and started removing it. She went deep and had cut me 3 times, it was really painful. After it was bleeding she then tells me to rinse off the blood, and pick another color. I then chose funny bunny and ended up likening the color. When i headed to pay she added 15 more dollars to the 70 I was supposed to pay. I asked her why the 15? She said becuase you made drill of the color and wasted my time. I went to ViVi nails on the recommendation of a friend. What a horrible experience. I left with multiple nicks and cuts and my cuticles completely painted over with polish, It was a pedicure and manicure in under an hour-it was chaotic and in no way relaxing. I also didn't note if the instruments were sanitized-I didn't see them come out of a new customer package as I have seen in other places or sitting in cleaning solution. I'm giving 3 stars because they were very nice. I called and made a 5:30pm reservation for a spa pedi, powder, and eyebrows. I understood that they closed at 7. I had another salon tell me that they couldn't take that reservation because it was too late. They offered me a spa pedicure menu and I had a long week so I picked their best for $85. I almost fell asleep during the massage, it was really good. I then moved on to my nails while the girl who did my toes did my included 10 min back massage, plus I paid for an extra 10 min. The girl did my powder in 20 min. I even commented on how fast it was. She did my eyebrows in 2 min. Didn't tweeze or trim, but I have good brow shape so whatever. After tip I spent over $200 Well, my feet still have calluses, and they had been done less than a month prior so it's not like they were that bad. My nails? The first broke yesterday (8 days after I had them done) and I just took the rest off, because they were all chipping and breaking. I don't expect miracles, since I work with my hands. The last place I went to lasted 4 weeks, but that is unusual, and not local to me. 2-3 weeks is all I ask. I know she rushed because of the time. I was out by 7:02. Just don't take the reservation then. I'll go somewhere that doesn't mind an extra 15 min to do a quality job. (Also. Not like it matters, but I tipped $60 between the 2 girls on a $150ish bill. Worst nail customer service I have ever experienced. I made my appointment online for a UV Gel fill in ($55) since I already have gel from my main nail salon. I called to confirm they got the appointment, and also made appointment for two other women and our daughters for manicure and pedicures. They gave me an attitude when I walked in telling me to not make appointments online. They told my daughter to sit in the pedicure chair where she waited for 15 minutes and nobody came over to help her. When I was finished they told me my UV gel fill in was $70, and my daughters was $10. I said I made appointment for a fill in and I didn't get a full set which is priced $70. They said they charge $15 for gel nail polish. So what they're saying is that you can go get the gel put on your nails but no polish for $55. NO other nail salon does that. The woman who did my nails put me on the phone with the manager, (Elaine?) who would not let me finish a sentence and kept talking over me. This back and forth conversation went on. I said okay, I will go next door and get cash. To which the woman who did my nails LOCKED THE DOOR and put her hand on my shoulder telling me I cannot leave. My nails were okay, not great. They barely had any colors to choose from. My friend's nails were horrible. I do not recommend this place to anyone. We got our pedicures done together and I was left waiting in the pedicure chair for 45 mins while she got her manicure. Which would have been fine but I wasn't polished. So I was 90% done and if they polished me I would have been drying. By the time I was polished and waxed I was there 2 hours total. I asked if I was paid up. And the man said yes your mother paid. We get out in the parking lot and chased down saying I wasn't paid. We go back in and we are rudely told we owe for the waxing. Worst experience ever. On top of it. I told him I wanted to cut my nails and trim it and do a square well they did the opposite. They made it round. They are so how fast I felt like I was not important. Went to have the gel dip with tips removed. I told the. Tech - Yoyo- that I had tips that I had filed down. But she didn't seem to understand much English at all. She used the dremel and gouged my nails in multiple spots including all along the cuticle in almost every nail. Continuing even after I pulled away saying that it hurt me and tried to convey that it was my nail not a fake. It was miserable from beginning to end. The polish she applied to my damaged nails came out all uneven and refused to dry. It seems to me that the polish had been thinned. I now just go to Lisa because it's easier to soak as she does my pedi then don't have to wait till Kenny is done to do my sns. They r friendly and always do a great job on me. My teen daughter had a 12;30 SNS appointment with Kenny. At 12:45....we thought Kenny said someone else would take the polish off, because he was busy with another customer. Before we knew it, this woman was doing the entire procedure.? At 1:30 someone walked -NO APPOINTMENT for SNS. She sits right down & within 6 minutes Kenny is working on this other lady's nails. I get annoyed & left the building for 15 minutes to breathe. I return to find long , ghetto nails on my teen daughter, (nothing like the shorter, appropriate ones Kenny put on 3 weeks prior). At that point I had it. I told them they were way too long & needed to be cut down. Kenny came over and cut the nails down....then quickly left. The worker lady returned & finished. We left exactly 2hrs +8 min after our scheduled appointment time, with Kenny, (who failed to keep his end of the appointment). We will not return here! We're going back to the place we love, PRETTY NAILS IN Middle Island, (just out of the way /inconvenient location). Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this place! UPDATE AUG 2018: After sewing mixed reviews & proximity to errand: I return to Vivi nails . This time only for a gel manicure. Went to another salon today in Jamesport, (May). I paid $5 to have remaining gel plush soaked off. They claim they have better gel polish , (newest version)?? This gel polish was not worth the $25 fee plus the $9 tip plus the removal cost, (5+3).... ALL IN 5 DAYS?? IT DIDN'T EVEN LAST A WEEK??
