Very disappointed with the lady who was currently working at the Sweet Factory store. Right away…read morewhen I walked in, she was glaring at me. I proceeded to tell her about my last purchase of the mini jaw breakers, which are supposed to have a somewhat chewy texture. I explained to her that the last time I bought them there, they were stale and before I could finish, she cut me off and was like "I can't give you samples!" So then I continued to question her, "so if I buy these candies and they are stale again, what happens?" And she responded very rudely, "I can't do anything about that," while the whole time she was giving me a dirty look and acting like I was making some crazy request. So even though I spent more than $40 for a big bag of candy and had to throw away literally half of the bag away (so throwing away $20), you mean to tell me you will allow me to make another blind purchase and I will just have to accept that they are stale?! No freaking way! You lost my business! Sweet Factory, you need to work on your employees' customer service. The lady was very rude and I didn't take the time to take her name because I was so disgusted with how she looked at me and dismissed me right away. She definitely could've handled that much more professionally and with a little more compassion for the customer. Sweet Factory, if you don't train up your staff to be more courteous, I'm sure you will lose more business! I will not be returning!

The cashier was very nice, offered assistants and was very welcoming. The prices are a bit steep, a regular mixed bag of candy is $13.96/Ib and if you want a mix of sugar free candy it's $15.56/lb. They also offer 50% off regular price pounds for holiday sweets. So if I'm craving sweets and am in the area, I make sure to buy the candy's I can rarely find anywhere else in regular stores or little candy toppers for when I make cupcakes! Also can't resist those chocolate covered gummy bears and sour anything, sooo goooood!

I had so much fun exploring Tokyo Central & Main! What makes this place unique is that it's…read moreactually made up of three separate stores--two grocery markets and one dedicated to merchandise featuring everything from adorable Japanese plushies and cookware to cosmetics, electronics, and so much more. And yes...I had to explore all three! Both markets were bright, clean, and incredibly well organized. One of my favorite sections was the tea aisle. As someone who absolutely loves tea, I was in heaven. Their selection is huge, with everything from loose-leaf teas to powdered varieties that you don't typically find in traditional American grocery stores. I'll definitely be back to stock up on a few new favorites. I originally stopped in to purchase a matcha whisk set, but it was a little more than I wanted to spend. That didn't stop me from finding a few treasures, though! I ended up browsing the cookware section and picked up a beautifully designed set of reusable chopsticks along with beginner-friendly M-shaped training chopsticks. One unexpected highlight was getting to try a hand massage machine. It applies pressure to acupuncture points throughout your hand, and wow--it felt amazing! I'm seriously considering going back just to buy one. The produce section also looked fresh and inviting, so I can definitely see myself returning to shop for groceries. Plus, since my sons love anime, I already know they'll enjoy checking out the merchandise store with all the fun Japanese collectibles and character items. Whether you're looking for authentic Japanese groceries, unique kitchenware, specialty teas, or fun gifts, Tokyo Central & Main is absolutely worth visiting. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by--you'll probably leave with more than you planned, just like I did! And you already know you can always thank me later

I could tell how passionate the owner, Jim, is about the business. He crafts his chocolate from ethically sourced beans, roasts them and makes the most deeply dark chocolate! My favorite was the chocolate ganache with walnuts! But there's such a variety of flavors to chose from. There's even chocolate tea and hot chocolate available. I'd like to return to take one of the classes. They offer classes for children. But they also offer a 2-3 hour class where they teach how to temper and decorate 21 pieces of chocolate that you get to take home! Until then I'll just have to settle with eating them!

Horrible experience - caused my granddaughter to cry due to his rudeness…read more We had an 11 am class on 7/5/26. We arrived at 10;50 and were told to leave the building because he was not ready. We reentered with others at 11:05. The lady in front of us told him that 3 of her 5 reservations would not be there. I waited until everyone was checked in and hands washed. I stood by the register for over 5 minutes - when he finally came over, I told him that I would be happy to take one of the missing reservations. He said I would have to wait until everyone showed up, but not everyone was there. So I sat down next to my granddaughter. He came over to my chair, trying to explain the same thing. I told him that the lady (who was right across the table from me) had told him that 3 were not coming and that I was trying to help. HE THEN STARTED to verbally abuse me, telling me that I was being rude and that if I didn't stop, he would not be able to teach my granddaughter. I responded that we just needed to end the conversation (the entire time, I was sitting WITH HIM STANDING NEXT TO MY SHOULDER). He continued by calling me rude and threatening. All I could say was we needed to stop the conversation. HE CONTINUED WITH THREATS. Then he decided to kick me out after I made a hand gesture to stop talking. As a backdrop, I have been a customer of theirs at the Farmer's Market for years. That will be ending! Bill McNabb

When we passed by, there was a sign indicating that staff was on break so we decided to come back after lunch. When we came back there was a lady behind the counter and she was assisting other customers. Yes, this candy is expensive but holy cow are they delicious. My husband like the gummy candies, and the one we picked out were very flavorful. I wish there were samples so that you're able to try them, but they do sell sample packets (4 for $10). Each sample packet some with about 10 pieces of small candies. My daughter chose the sea salt caramels and when I tried them they were delicious. The chocolate was not too overbearing and had a small hint of sea salt. The caramel was the right amount of stickiness and didn't stick too much to your teeth. Packaging is beautiful and a nice gift for those who appreciate sweets!
