Jolly Joseph's was amazing with the quality care I got, she listened actively to all I had to say. She was compassionate, kind, caring, and very concerned and determined to find out what's going on inside me. I felt safe and in good hands. The type of care I got was top notch, and I will continue going to see her. I got an appointment quickly, within a week. The check in was quick, only had to wait 5 minutes, I just had to fill out some paperwork. I highly recommend HCHP.

We have loved having her as our health care provider. She is very knowledgeable and personable. My husband loves how caring and kind she is. As a nurse myself, I can say that Miss McGarvey is a credit to the profession and has always provided comprehensive treatment. I know that she is about to retire at the end of October. We will miss her. I want to wish her the very best in her retirement. She has helped so many and been so caring. Now it is time for her to enjoy doing whatever she pleases when she pleases. However, I am giving this clinic only one star because I made an 11 a.m. appointment and arrived on time but realized everyone who had walked in without an appointment before I arrived was being seen ahead of me despite the fact that my appointment time had passed. Finally, 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I asked the receptionist about this and she confirmed this was their policy. I told her that meant there was no such thing as an appointment since patients were seen based exclusively on their arrival times. She said she would talk to the doctor, and I was, then, the next patient called. TLDR: Fine for walk ins, but they don't honor appointments.

I had horrible care from the doctors at Kaiser Permanente. The doctors never actually treated me…read morefor my issue. I was repeatedly told cancer statistics for my age group and convinced that I needed unnecessary tests. I had these repeated over and over again. They always came back normal. Every time I went through the horrible testing, I was told if everything came back normal we'd proceed with treatment. That never happened. I kept trying different doctors and they all did the same thing. I was actually told it was their protocol. At one point, I was encouraged to have an unnecessary hysterectomy and the doctors told me to go on YouTube to research what to expect after surgery. I suspect that they use the word cancer to scare women into unnecessary testing and procedures. I paid for it all out of pocket. I have gotten second opinions and have been told that they can't understand what they were doing to me. I'm fine. I don't need a hysterectomy and I never had cancer. I went through this for 4 1/2 years. I strongly suspect that the doctors at Kaiser are encouraged to scare patients and come up with reasons to do unnecessary testing so they can bill you and make money. I have been traumatized by the doctors at Kaiser and wasted 4 years of my life. Run from Kaiser - it's terrible!!!

Big fire there today!…read more KENSINGTON, Md. (DC News Now) -- A firefighter was taken to the hospital, and over a dozen people were evaluated after a fire broke out at the Kensington Healthcare Center on Wednesday night. Details are limited; however, the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) was dispatched to the center on McComas Avenue for an automatic fire alarm. Once on the scene, firefighters located the blaze in a patient's room, where a mattress had caught fire. Officials said that 13 people were evaluated at the scene, and one firefighter was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Peter Piringer with the MCFRS noted that rooms were affected by the fire, and some had water damage. As a result, several patients were relocated to different rooms in the building. Nearly 60 firefighters responded to the scene as temperatures remained in the teens Wednesday night. The cause remains under investigation.

I had no knowledge of this place but I thought since it was in Kensington it would probably be ok. Well it wasn't. From the moment I was brought in on a stretcher from the hospital I immediately smelled cigarette smoke. I saw many ceiling tiles were missing with wires hanging down. I saw residents who looked like they weren't being taken care of properly. Then I was brought into my frozen room and put on the bed. I waited more than 30 minutes before a member of the staff came to see me. Finally my spouse came and all of a sudden a nurse appeared. I asked her some questions about my care and her answers were inadequate. They definitely weren't going to be able to give me the care I deserved. Then they started telling little lies to my spouse. I was barely there for about 2 hours before I realized this was not the place for me. I called 911 to come take me back to the hospital. When the paramedics arrived they asked to see my medical records and the staff told them no. They told the staff that the medical records were mine and they still said no. So I asked them for my medical records to give to the paramedics and they still said no. Can you believe it? They wouldn't let me have my own medical records??? I am sure they are going to try to bill my health insurance for lots of things even though I was only there for a little over 2 hours. Avoid this place like the plague. I can't believe such a place like this exists in Montgomery county MD. They should be shut down!

I asked him if he wanted the short version or should I start at the beginning. He said the beginning! Most doctors want the shortest version. I was impressed, most doctors, I encounter are always in a hurry and want you to get on board with their rush rush rush attitudes. Dr. Baker was patient, kind, and very focused on my needs and how he could help me. I went to Urgent Care the night before I went to Holy Cross Hospital ER the wait was, like 3 minutes and I was back in pain before I even got home. Now I know why the wait was so long at Holy Cross Hospital's ER, everybody's bypassing Urgent Care (bandage care) and going to the ER. I know I am done with Urgent Care, it was a waste of my time.

Our daughter came home from daycare with symptoms of an ear infection and we didn't want to wait to go to her regular pediatrician the next day. I was able to book an appointment online very quickly for later that evening. Parking was very easy and the waiting area was clean and uncrowded. My daughter was seen by a nurse practitioner who quickly confirmed the infection and sent a prescription to be picked up at the CVS across the street. We've been back a couple of times since and have had similar experiences. If you have a need for pediatric care outside of our regular pediatrician offices, this beats an ER by quite a bit, especially for small things. It is what it should be, and it's now in our medical provider short list.

We even visited another doctor prior to visiting Dr. Gattu, but the prescribed meds didn't make any difference. Dr. Gattu was very thorough with his examination, extremely patient, and had absolutely wonderful approach with our son. Not only his examination and expertise were on point, but he made sure to educate us on our son's condition, and walked us through the next steps of his treatement. Everything happened the way he said it will. A nurse practitioner from the office followed up with us two days later, to nake sure everything went by the plan. Tomorrow is our telehealth visit. I would NOT RECOMMEND this practice. This USED TO be a great practice before Dr Marshall moved to…read moreconcierge care two years ago. Now I only see NPs without signing up for concierge care. And the last straw for me was when the current non-concierge practice actually WANTED ME TO WAIT IN PAIN AND SEVERE DISCOMFORT FOR SEVERAL DAYS, instead of just prescribing antibiotics for a urinary infection. They wanted me to wait come in for urinalysis and wait for 3 days for the results before they would provide me relief. In the past they have prescribed antibiotics for immediate relief before without a fuss. But the new practice has no qualms about having women patients suffer for a few days.
