Saw Dr. Arora for head/ sinus congestion that he deemed to be viral. Follow-up phone call was nice however symptoms have lingered now for 2.5 weeks. Called to see if he could prescribe antibiotic to finally knock this out and was told another appointment at my expense would be needed. Why?! It's only been 1 week since my initial appointment and 3 days since his follow up call. Such a money grab it's disgusting! Have never had an issue with this urgent care previously but first time seeing this doctor there. Will not be returning. read more

Because of pain in my shoulder I made an appointment for 9 am on a Sunday at Access Now. I only waited fifteen minutes to be seen by a very knowledgeable & professional PA. She asked questions, answered a bunch of them, explained everything very thoroughly & didn't hurry me. I was given two injections and an RX for pain & was told to see my orthopedic doctor. Untrained staff, misdiagnosed me, refused to treat and I still got a $135 bill. I went to Access Now Urgent Care to get a prescription for a stomach issue which I've had a few times in the past. I knew exactly what I had so all I needed was the rx. I was seen by the physician assistant Rachel, who completely misdiagnosed me and thought I had something extremely worse even though I didn't have those symptoms. She refused to give me the rx and instead told me to go to the ER. The Dr. at the ER said I definitely did not have what the PA at this urgent care said and I had exactly what I knew I came in with. The Dr. at the ER gave me the exact medication and RX like I needed. I foolishly thought coming to an urgent care center for a simple stomach issue would save me many hours of time and hundreds of dollars of medical bills, but clearly I was wrong. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is the staff I encountered were nice. Unfortunately, the medical staff are very poorly trained. The gall of them to still bill me $135 for not treating me at all whatsoever is incredibly disgusting. I'm paying for nothing. To make matters worse, the billing department messed up my address so I never received a bill. A biller called me and left a voice mail in spanish. I'm not hispanic, I don't have a hispanic name either, and since we're in America, the default should be English. So this was another unprofessional error on their part. I arrive about 10-15 minutes before Access Now was closing carrying my son, a 2 year old, who had a dislocated arm. I asked if they saw pediatrics and they said yes. The woman up front told me they close in 10 minutes and would give me the address to another pediatric urgent care. I asked if someone could look at him quickly or take an xray and they told me they close in 10 minutes again and started looking up the address for somewhere else. There were 4 people upfront and none of them said anything to help my son. I strongly urge any one to stay away from this place seeing as how this is the care they give to the community. Would give them zero stars is possible and will never set foot in this place again. Visited urgent care because I was experiencing numbness in my leg. It's located on Georgia Ave in Wheaton in a quiet cul de sac. I made an appointment online and was seen at my appointment time. The receptionists were friendly and check in was a breeze. They took down my info and I was on my way to see the doctor in 15 minutes. The waiting area was small but clean. Photos were not allowed in the examination room but the rooms were a bit worn but sanitary for a doctors office). I was first seen by a PA who assessed my situation, asked questions and did a preliminary check. I was then told to wait and a friendly and knowledgeable physician came to explain the diagnosis (thankfully I'm good) and next steps should I continue to experience similar or new symptoms. They both put my mind at ease and we're thorough in their assessment of my situation. Overall positive experience. No one wants to go to the doctor but it's always easier when the staff at the doctors office are warm and inviting. Thanks guys! read more

After spending 3 hours at another institution and left untreated, I took my wife to Access Now and she was immediately attended to by PA Katarina Juhaszova. PA Katarina was thorough, thoughtful, methodical, sensitive. My wife was suffering from an unusual migraine that induced vomiting and near loss of consciousness. PA Katarina went above & beyond the call. She administered medication that immediately brought relief. But she didn't haphazardly discharge my wife. She observed her and ensured that she was fit to return home. She even did a series of physical exercises to ensure my wife didn't have cognitive impairment. The next day, my wife received a post care call from PA Katarina to ensure her migraine didn't persist and that the vomiting desisted. PA Katarina Juhaszova deserves a gold medal. I visited Access Now with eye, ear, and chest infections. Katarina treated me three times (initial visit and two follow-ups). She is exceptionally caring and friendly. And she listens to you. She addresses every question/concern you have, and explains things thoroughly. She called me the day after each appointment to check on how I was feeling (even if it was her day off). She set up a follow-up appointment with a specialist for me so as to make sure that I would be seen quickly. Be very careful regarding billing for this facility. My husband scheduled an appt, as he was having COVID sx. The front desk insisted that he fill out paperwork for our entire family (4 people). We never discussed our children, just to say they barely had any sx. They were sleeping during our virtual visit, so the dr never even saw them. They never collected any data on them, never asked anything outside of this. Nothing. A few weeks later we get FOUR bills for FOUR copays. I called and they said "well, we have paperwork for 4 people so you have to pay for 4 people." They never did anything with our children! The dr was nice, but this is insane. Yesterday we were out with our new puppy hiking and mushroom-hunting, and between the cute puppy and the mother lode of chanterelles we stumbled upon, I wasn't paying attention. I stepped up on a wet log and took a tumble, landing on my wrist. It hurt a lot, but the pain wasn't excruciating, so I went to bed hoping my body would magically heal itself by morning. But that didn't happen, the pain was worse and I couldn't use my hand, so I looked up Urgent Care places on Yelp. I've used another one in Kensington a few times and it was *fine* but nothing special, and they always bill me wrong. Access Now was the only UC I saw with positive reviews in my area. It was easy to make an appointment online, I was seen quickly, the staff were friendly and helpful, the space was clean, the nurse practitioner was AWESOME, really a good experience all around for my broken wrist, if such a thing is possible. I was there on a Sunday, so they couldn't make me an orthopedic appointment, but they gave me a list of practices, and told me that if I have trouble getting in the next day, I should call access now for assistance, I was well-cared for and would not hesitate to recommend Access Now to my friends and coworkers. read more

This place was fantastic! I came in with a sore throat and a heavy cough. After filling out some paperwork and giving them my insurance I was back to see the doctor with in minutes. They were so quick I couldn't believe it. The doctor was really nice, He explained everything that he was doing and he also explained why he prescribed certain things and why he didn't prescribe other things. I really love it when doctors take the time to tell you what they're doing and explain the process, instead of just giving you things and not talking to you. The best part of the whole experience is the fact that they ask you what would you like to do, they give you some autonomy over your own body which I think is really important instead of just telling you. While I'd previously had pretty good experiences at this practice, after todays experience I will never be coming back. Wanted to come in to get tested for strep on a Saturday but it was close to closing time (435 pm when they close at 5pm). I didn't want to assume they would still see me if I came in so I called ahead first and explained I lived about 10-15 minutes away. I asked if I could get there in about 15 mins if they would see me. The person on the phone - Rosa - said, yes but only if I was an existing patient (I was). She took my DOB and said she'd see me soon. I raced over as fast as I could and when I walked up to the front door at 453 the door was closed. They told me they were closed. I told them I called ahead and they said they would see me. Then i talked to Rosa who told me that was only if I could arrive by 445. I pointed out that I was on the phone with her at 435 and had told her it'd take me about 15 minutes to get there which would be after 445 so why would she tell me to come still if that was the cut off? She then said, well, there's not a cut off at 445 but you weren't here within 15 minutes of when you said you would (I was 3 mins past that estimate). She told me that because I was 3 minutes late they could no longer see me because they close at 5, and even though I was there before 5, the doctor had already seen her last patient and wouldn't see me. Because of those 3 minutes. I'm not sure who gets to make the call on this - Rosa or the female doctor (don't know name) but Rosa said she did ask the doctor and she said no. If they have a policy, then fine - communicate that to people that call and ask that. But nothing is more frustrating than being told to come - racing to get there - and being told - sorry, you're 3 minutes past the time you said (even though still before 5) and then refusing to see you. I'd previously recommended this clinic in numerous family and moms groups in the immediate area but the next time someone asks for urgent care facilities, I'll be sure to tell people to go somewhere else. Making up rules after you tell someone to come in is complete BS. Access Now - if you care about your reputation, I'd suggest making policies on these sort of things and communicating those clearly. And I'd suggest re-training your staff to be more compassionate and to know that you shouldn't tell someone who is sick to come within 15 mins of closing because you won't see them even though it's before closing. Disappointing because I'd had some decent experiences other times - and I had thought Dr Aurora himself was great - but will choose another clinic next time and will strongly recommend the same to others. read more

Access Now to the rescue! So it's flu season and that nasty bug somehow caught me. It was a Saturday morning and I needed to see a doctor. I had this cough that felt like a burning sensation. Thankfully I found Access Now through zocdoc and they took me right away! Very clean facility and super super nice front desk ladies. They understood that I was a bit on the slow side with the flu and took their time with me. I was given some meds and on my way. What made this appointment so awesome was that I got a call from them two days after my visit. Just checking in to see how I was doing. My primary doctor doesn't even do this!!! I was very surprised and definitely appreciative of the care Access Now gives. The timeline of feeling better was right on from what I discussed with the doctor. My family of 4 went to get tested and were told we would be contacted in 2-3 days with the results. 5 days later I call to follow up and was told an employee had written in our official records that my husband and I were both called and they verbally gave us our results!!! I decided to do a PCR test since it's more accurate ..... After I did the test the dr came and talked me ... offered me a rapid test and I told her I will just wait 2-3 days for the PCR test... then after I discuss with my husband We decided to get a rapid test also, that's then when all drama started the front desk lady started arguing with us.... I was on my construction job in July 2017 when the wind blew a door into my back, 2 weeks went by and pain in my back didn't go away. Dr. Arora's office ( Access Now) was just a couple blocks down the street so I stopped in to get checked out. Dr.Arora took some x-rays to see if I had fractured ribs which the x-rays showed NO fractures. I mentioned to Dr. I have been having pains in my back area for a while which I wrote off due to getting old. Dr. Arora wrote me a subscription for a C-Scan which did show fractures but LONG STORY SHORT the fractures were caused by CANCER not a door. I went into Cancer treatment 2 weeks later. Now 1 1/2 years later my cancer treatment has my in remission. IF it was not for Dr.Arora's dedication to the Oath he took to become a Dr. and not considering the Insurance Industry policies I may not be here writing this review. I would like to THANK Dr. Arora and his staff for giving me MORE time with my family and enjoying retirement. I know for sure if I didn't get those test I would have just wrote it off to "old age" pain and my cancer would have progressed. PM read more

I have had two experiences with Dr. Arora. The first time I went in for a sore throat. Easily made an appointment on a Sunday, and saw Dr. Arora right away. He was very thorough in his examination. He explains everything in a simple way for you to understand. A couple of days later, he checked up on me with a phone call. It was very nice. My second visit was for some general medical things. He, again, was very thorough and checked out my sprained ankle. He is very efficient and kind. I had to leave for an eye appointment, but came back to finish my x-ray. The service and technology here at this facility is great. The offices are clean, and you feel better knowing that these professionals care for you. The front desk lady was also very nice and helpful. Parking is usually not that bad. Location is great for the Wheaton area. read more

The weight loss program does not work and the office is run poorly. I first went to Access Now for urgent care when I had a throat infection and the front desk asked me to fill out the wrong paperwork (5 pages) and then told me they made a mistake and I needed to fill out another set of paperwork again. Dr. Aurora was nice and told me about the weight loss program. I paid $300 for vitamins and a B12 shot. They told me the blood work panel was included with the $300, then billed my insurance. I got a big bill from the lab. I asked for an email with my lab results two times and never got it. When I called the front desk told me 3 times that lab work was not included. Excellent care given. I was recommended this place because they have an X-ray machine on premises. I came in for a twisted ankle which turned out to be broken. Thiago, the CRNP (Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner) who saw me, is top notch. He is calm, pragmatic, professional and has amazing attention to detail. I got the dreaded daycare call that my 4-yr-old son had fallen and cut his forehead - the first aider thought we should get it checked out for stitches. Thirty minutes later I was in Access Now where my son was seen by a nurse, paramedic and doctor and had his cut cleaned and glued (much better than stitches!) He got something in his eye while this was happening and they cleaned and attended to that as thoroughly as the cut. Hopefully this is our one and only visit, but if we have another accident there will be a lot less stress knowing how helpful and professional (and caring!) these guys are. read more

I went in and saw the newer NP. I called to re-schedule and they said I couldn't because no one would be in to administer the test I needed (though the NP I saw was talking about what time he was coming in the next day) and they asked me if I could come in earlier instead. The NP I saw was fine but you could tell he was new. My biggest problem with this is they misdiagnosed me and gave me antibiotics that caused me to be extremely nauseous and throw up. They knew I never had this medicine before but didn't give me any warning regarding potential side effects. I had to make another appointment with my regular doctor for follow-up and she couldn't believe the misdiagnosis and oversight on their end. Great resource to have in the neighborhood. I have seen Dr. Arora a couple of times this year on short notice and have gotten excellent care from him and his team each time. The nurses and administrative staff are always helpful, friendly, and willing to answer questions. Dr. Arora is also quite a bit more involved with patient care than I'm used to from prompt care physicians -- he clearly cares a lot about his practice and his patients. I came down with a flu-like virus, and it was pretty bad for a couple of days, and I didn't feel well enough to drive all the way to see my PCP - plus I figured he wouldn't be able to see me the same day. So I looked up nearby urgent care places and this one was walking distance to my apartment. I had a very positive experience there. They made an appointment for an hour later, and saw me pretty promptly after I arrived. The staff and Dr. Arora were all very friendly. They were able to x-ray my lungs since I had a terrible chest cough and a fever, to rule out pneumonia. The doc prescribed and recommended medicine that helped me sleep better and reduced my symptoms, and wrote me a note for work. My flu-like virus seemed to go away but the cough progressed to bronchitis 4 days letter (a Fri), and I was able to set up another appointment easily and get appropriate treatment and return to work (a Mon). A little over a week later, I was at work and had tightness in my chest and felt out of breath, so I called and set up an appointment with the PA, but only about 15 minutes later she called back to say that she recommended I go to the ER because my symptoms could be a sign of something more serious, plus without an x-ray tech in the center that day they wouldn't be able to rule out whether it'd progressed to something worse and would have to send me to the ER anyway. I appreciated that they took the time to look out for me even if it meant not getting my money that day. It turned out I just needed another round on one of my scripts to make the lung inflammation go away. Anyway, I recommend them and will definitely go back if I need to be seen quickly. read more
