Went here after waiting 8 weeks for an appointment. They moved up the appoint time without telling me. So I was more than 10min late. No one in the waiting room. Sorry rescheduled for another weeks away appointment. Just drove over an hour for nothing. Was told to bring my medical records. With a bag full of paper and discs. Sorry we were wrong, we don't need that paperwork, we retrieved your records. Can't speak to the actual medical care but the appointment system and competency of the clerical staff is questionable. Northshore/Bothell is a growing area at a rapid rate. We need more specialties at Northshore clinic. Please reinstate Xray and perhaps add Dermatology, mammogram and more do we patients dont have to brave the freeway traffic to get to other clinics. What about a Saturday clinic at Northshore too. Kaiser - in general is terrible to arrange anything. Schedule an appointment? You only have a few SPECIFIC options online...want something else? GOOD LUCK. Find a direct phone number to anywhere...NO DEAL. Try the only phone option available? AGAIN - specific OPTIONS ONLY - if you don't want any of those...it repeats, and repeats... Press -0- NOT an Option... Absolutely the worst organization to try to contact I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. read more

Just switched from Premera and so far super happy with the care we are getting at Kaiser! Dr Murphy is great for my kids - they both felt comfortable with her right away. My husband and I are with Dr Lau who is super thorough and friendly. I love how everything can be done in one place and there is never a wait! read more

As a new customer, I am very disappointed with Kaiser and their platform. Their doctors are basically super inexperienced, and just following some scripted steps. finding an actual cause is not their job. The Doctor I visited was super inexperienced, and lack of knowledge. Their covid vaccination was extremely messed up and I had to find another third party to get the vaccine (I was qualified as a Health Worker) Most of their doctors are young and inexperienced, very low standards services, and overall zero star. read more

My deductible was met the end of November. I paid 14,000.00 to pay premiums and deductible I needed some tests done that would have been covered by my plan but the tests have been delayed until after my deductible is up. I have called and expressed my problem and begged to get the tests done while it is covered. It has not happened. Promised phone calls have not happened. A much needed MRI was deferred for a nerve conduction which has not yet been scheduled. I have paid for all my care because of my high deductible and now can't get the ca re when my insurance will cover it. I do not think Kaiser works in my best interest but in their own. Kaiser is not insurance coverage in my care as I have had to pay for everything this year. read more

Consistent issues with scheduling... I try to schedule a simple phone visit through the online portal and have gotten error messages each time. Then when I am forced to call for the appointment, I have to wait 30+ minutes for a 30 second conversation. I see a lot of comments about scheduling issues and wonder why such a large organization has not seemed to fix the underlying problems. read more

One of the worst clinics I've ever been to. The lab tech doesn't wash his hands before putting gloves on, & will touch a bunch of stuff after he puts his gloves on, but before he does your blood draw. They also left a bunch of sharps containers out where anyone could see & grab it. Whenever I've had to talk to someone here about test results, etc they always ask me five million unnecessary questions & try to get me to sign up for additional services etc for things I don't need. They like to keep you on the phone as long as possible. I've called about test results for over a month now, & I get a different answer by each idiot they put me on the phone with. I even asked for a supervisor, or manager, & one lady flat out refused to get someone else for me to talk to. She would not do it. She she she couldn't. I had to hang up & call back. I don't know about you, but I don't have a lot of time to spare to call five billion times & get the run around by every person I talk to, & get told a literal different thing every time I call. I'm busy, I have a life. I need people to know how to do their jobs. I've actually had to bounce back & forth between my primary here (she switched over from Providence) & another provider from Providence I used to see, because nobody could help me find my test results. They actually told me I needed to retake them a few times, because they weren't able to find them in their system.... Then I got told another lab has them, then I was told they have them, but they aren't viewable or openable by anyone, or that they don't see them at all. I actually ended up going back to Providence with the intention to just get them redone because I was pissed after one month of by getting them or anyone being able to figure it out, & my doctor was able to look them up within ten seconds, & told me their systems were connected (even though every KP personI spoke to said that was impossible that they couldn't look me up because the systems were different. Basically, I LOATHE this clinic. I love my dr, she's helped me for years through some pretty serious stuff, but it's not honestly worth it to deal with the idiocy of every employee here. I simply don't have time for it, & neither does my hypertension. Not to mention if I'm going to pay for my healthcare, I'm going to pay people who actually know what they're talking about, & don't waste my time. read more

The pharmacist called me back to explain that they didn't have the replacement drug available either. She said she felt bad about my experience and wanted to make it right so she had a courier drive the drug to my house. Still far from an ideal experience but they redeemed themselves a bit. read more

I have been a faithful KP member for a long time. My whole family enjoys the Dr.s and staff at all of the locations we've been to. With that being said.... I went in for a routine check up and was treated excellent from reception through the check in process, and the exam, top notch treatment. Upon checking out, the nurse explained how to utilize the pharmacy and lab resources. "C'mon in, grab a number for the lab, and when you are finished there do the same thing in the pharmacy." Sounds super easy. So I went in to do just that today. Grabbed my number and stood (socially distanced) from the others in the waiting area. After about 30 seconds, a voice behind me BOOMED out "you're going to have to wait out there (half heatedly pointing toward the door) and I'm not even going to be able to see you for AT LEAST 20 minutes!" I felt as if I had done something wrong and that caused her to get angry with me. So, instead of confronting this disgruntled employee and making the other visitors uncomfortable, I simply said "yes ma'am" and preceded to walk out the door to my car and left. I will be back as I know people have bad days, but what I will promise is that if it happens again, I will not be quite as courteous. As a department manager myself, this should be a training moment for the employee and potentially for management to reconsider the staffing situation on certain days/time of day. read more

I couldn't be happier with my provider Dr. Tikoo. She listens to what you have to say and addresses all of my concerns In language that I can understand. She's compassionate, thorough and easy to talk to. The pharmacy has been extremely helpful to me. The staff at Northshore is phenomenal. read more

Check in and pharmacy fine. Dr visit, after not being seen for two years, felt like I was a bother. It was like talking to the company press person on policy, not a health care provider. Everything was no, too early to test for that like calcium or bone density, or too old to test for that (hormones). Colon check, well spoke with member services back in June and still no appointment. Called them back and they are farming those out to other places. I guess at this age I am supposed to wait for my body to crash before they willing address. read more

I recently transfered to this location and the staff are consistent and courtious! My wife and kids also transferred here! Our last visit with both daughters went extremely well. The nurse now visits the exam room to give shots. That was amazing. read more

I'm sitting in the lobby extremely frustrated, I got out of my doctor appointment at 12:17, and because they either can't or won't schedule overlapping lunch breaks for the pharmacy employees I have to wait 45 minutes for them to get back from lunch to get my prescription filled. I cant believe they make sick people wait instead of planning employee lunch breaks more efficiently. read more

My son was hit very hard on the head - right on his ear, with a soccer ball during a game. I immediately called Group Health in Bothell to make an appt. to have him seen as he was experiencing symptoms of concussion...nausea, dizziness, headache, neck and back ache, double vision, ringing in his ear, loss of hearing. The triage nurse I spoke with told me that they were closed on Sat. and that I would need to make an appt. and be seen on Monday at 3:30! Being new to GH I was unaware that there is an urgent care facility in Bellevue, nor did she inform me of this option. I hung up and called my own doctor who is NOT with GH. We were seen immediately and he did have a concussion. I later emailed both the Bothell and the main headquarters in Bellevue regarding the situation and just how dangerous this could have been. I still have never received a reply. And this is why Group Health is also know as Group Death. read more

I visited Dr. Powell on 10/26/2020 and had such an exceptional experience with both her and the rest of the KP staff. Dr. Powell showcased exemplary professionalism and kindness throughout my appointment. She patiently listened to my concerns and was extremely compassionate and quick to provide me affective action-items to help alleviate my health issues. I sent them a message 2 days ago: 08/24/2018 PATIENT PAYMENT Visa 129.69 This is a generic nasal spray. Why is it so expensive? I just ordered it again. Of course, I thought this was a mistake, so I called since I didn't get a refund on this. Kaiser charges a ton for generic and that goes against my deductible of like $6,500. Since I used $700. of medical, I'm paying a lot to get generic drugs through them. I pay less if I go to Bartell's to fill my meds. Went to their Bartell's walk-in clinic per Kaiser's instructions for a skin condition. Diagnosed with dermatitis and bought all the over-the-counter fixes, per the doctor. Months go by and no change. I call back and want to go to a dermatologist. I went and he told me I have rosacea and the stuff I'm using for my incorrect diagnosed dermatitis is only making the rosacea worse. Luckily it's on my face and the creams were making it a total disaster for everyone to see far and wide. Kaiser changes their mind and said I can't see a dermatologist. I told them I was diagnosed wrong at Bartell and now was diagnosis correctly. After more calls, they approved my visit and I paid for everything, wrong and right doctor visits, all the wrong products and right ones and way more for all my prescription medications. I'm still not able to get a 2nd shingles shot. Thank God, I'm healthy!!! This is NOT a plan for unhealthy people. You will get bad service, bad info, denied doctors, overcharged for meds (remember to go to Bartell) fight for every tiny thing you need and then realize that you are actually paying for premiums for a service that just makes you worse off and they have not paid for one cent of my care or drugs all year. Just made my medical care a slice of hell with their stupid advice and care. FYI - I signed up again, will use my doctors, Bartell and will not be talking with them again. That's what you have to do per the law, $700. a month. Just throw that money out the window, right in Kaiser's pockets. Cheapest way to go for the healthy. I think my deductible is $7,500.00 this year. This is the response I got back from Kaiser on the outrages price for nasal spray : Unfortunately, that is the cost. (She has a high deducible) It looks like she might be able to price around and see if she can get it for less. It is available without a prescription now, and she could call some local pharmacies to see if she could get it for less. read more

I like it here. They are always nice and I don't have to do a copay now with my new coverage. Only issue is the doctors must not know the procedures the lab has about taking blood. I went around 450 per doctor instructions to get my blood taken after my initial meeting with her. Find out I can't by the lab individual due to timing and tubing procedures. It wasn't a big deal but wouldn't or shouldn't the doctor know this? Some people could get really inconvenienced. I live nearby but work all the time and it was convenient to do it right after my appt. Nice thing is that the lab doesn't need appointments. Advice is to come half hour before 5pm for blood taking. I will try to make it by 435 sometime soon. I still really love this Group Health is located by everything else. Thanks for great care! read more

I was told by Member Services that this location is a "Business Office" that would accept paperwork including forms for reimbursement, claims, etc. The rep told be it would likely be a faster turn around time to drop off paperwork here rather than just mailing it in myself. So, I drove to the office and dropped it off. A week later, none of my claims are in the system and everyone today at Kaiser Member Services seems baffled that I dropped anything off instead of mailing it in in the first place. I tried calling the location and no one answered - again and again. So, I drove back to Northshore Kaiser to inquire whether my paper work had been sent through the correct channels. They were truly baffled. They have no record keeping system regarding accepting and sending documents on behalf of members. I had to sit and wait while the receptionist called around to colleagues to see if anyone remembered sending it in. This is a reimbursement claim of close to $6,000, so I do consider it a bit of an emergency. Too bad Kaiser does not. read more

This place sucks... My son has been on the same medication for 10 years now. Exact same prescription that he takes daily. Dr. Murphy doesn't deserve the title of a Dr. shame on you Murphy. She denies my sons prescriptions often. Recently she denied his prescription because we haven't seen her in the physical office in a year. Well no shit we are in a global pandemic yet we still see you on zoom calls just to check his weight. Ask yourself one question do you think my sons weight has declined while being in a pandemic where he has access to the fridge daily and can graze 24/7. We just had our zoom visit with you a couple months ago and NO WE WILL NOT BE GOING IN JUST FOR A 'WEIGHT CHECK' my brother has pancreatic cancer so no thank you, I will protect this house from your COVID infested patients. What's interesting is the nurse and the pharmacist said this is a disservice to her patients. Why don't you peep the notes before declining said prescriptions. Now he's been out for a couple days and all because of the brilliant mind of a dr who doesn't seem to understand the risks of coming off said medications. I hope many see this and it gets brought to your management. My younger son who is seen at Providence, hasn't seen his Dr in person for about 1.5 years yet we have never had a problem with refills. I have had a problem with Kiaser for 10 solid years every 6 months if my son isn't physically seen Dr. Murphy refuses to fill. Even while on vacation as his prescription fill slipped my mind. Not even willing to sent to a different state his medication and just a temp fill of 5. That was a NOPE. You should go back to school for patient care and prescription use. Especially the medication my son is on. Shame on you Murphy and KP. KP in 2019 was an 85 billion dollar corporation for perspective that's 8x what the NFL makes. And you can't fill my sons prescription makes sense you want that insurance payout for his visit.... But you're a non-profit and getting massive tax breaks from the government. This is specifically for the pharmacy, as I have not visited any physicians at this location. I dropped off 2 scripts and waited there to pick them up. I was called up by the pharmacist who informed me that one of my medications was very expensive and they would have to order it costing them x amount of dollars. Because they would have to order it in a specific quantity they would "end up wasting hundreds of dollars". I was asked if I could take the script elsewhere (not Kaiser) to have it filled. At this point I was extremely uncomfortable so I agreed and left. I took it to another pharmacy and the only mention of money they made was that they found a manufacturer discount to offset some of my copay. I have appreciated the mail order prescription service for routine medications as it is very convenient. However I am considering transferring all prescriptions because of this experience. No person deserves to feel like their treatment for a medical problem is an inconvenience or not deserving of a certain dollar amount. read more

I went here when I had step throat and they are amazing here! I've never been here before, so I hadn't had a assigned Doctor to me, but I walked in, there was no co-pay, I have Health insurance through work, they took me straight to the testing room, waited no more then 5mins, they talked to me, swabbed my throat, told them I thought it was strep, they were really nice, and willing to listen. After that, took me to the lab, then told me they wanted me to see a Doc. Thought I'd have to wait around for half hour. NOPE. sat in waiting room less then 5 mins, took me back, a nurse helped me, and I asked question on what blood pressure was normal, answered my questions. The Doc came in 5 mins later, told me I had strep, go me paper work, and Doc's note for work, told me to go to the pharmacy (which is already in the building). Took a number, called in less then 2 mins, had my subscription already filled, asked for $6 and I went home and took my meds for my strep throat. Did this all in less then an hour, mind you . . . I am soooo glad to call this my Doctors office I shall be going too! :) read more

A little too much physician turnover and variation in how each physician practices medicine (i.e. vaccination schedule) has caused me to lose some confidence in Group Heath. However, the absolute worst part about this Northshore location is the pharmacy. Aside from the fact that they actually close during lunch time, they are extremely rude and won't even look at you unless you take a ticket. When all you're there to do is pick up a prescription for a family member that is already filled and sitting behind the counter, why make someone wait an hour in the lobby? This location makes you feel like a number, not a person. read more

With my husbands new job we had to switch to Group Health. I had to give up my wonderful caring doctor. After seeing 5 doctors I finally found one I am comfortable with. The women in the lab are very inexperienced. Every time I've had blood drawn by them my arm is extremely bruised and sore. I will say the last time I had my blood drawn it was taken by male technician on loan from Bellevue I didn't feel a thing and couldn't even see that blood had been drawn so it can be done correctly. It is strange that the pharmacy completely closes for lunch seems like could stagger lunches for the employees. Since Kaiser Permanente has taken over the costs of everything has risen enormously. It's not affordable anymore so I feel that if you have issues that need to be maintained it's difficult to afford the care. I would not recommend Group Health th anyone that had a choice. read more

As of 1/1/17 our family had to switch to Group Health individual coverage. We've had the most wonderful customer service and experience both in person with doctors and staff as well as with customer service over the phone. Being new to Group Health we knew we needed to establish with a primary care provider which the customer service rep over the phone found in our location (Northshore Medical Center) and helped us to set up my daughter's first well visit. My daughter is 18 and has never been immunized however being an adult now and wanting to travel she decided the get her vaccines. The doctors and nurses at Northshore Group Health were wonderful yesterday, taking great care with her receiving her first round ever of vaccines (7 shots in total). Everyone was pleasant and caring and just a lot of fun to be around (considering your in a medical facility). Thank you Northshore Group Health! read more
