Not only that, but after calling several places, Evergreen Lock and Key was the lowest price of anyone I called. He also gave me a heads up that if I submitted my receipt to my insurance, they would reimburse me (I had no clue this was a thing). Backstory: we recently added a digital lock on our side door. That lock was difficult to rekey, so…read morewe rekeyed out front door to match. So, we needed new house keys. The Universe has a perverse sense of humor and our problems started. I had a "vanity" key pattern I really liked. I found something close. Got it cut at Lowes. It worked in the new side door lock but not the front door. Then we discovered that one of the keys that came with the new lock also didn't work in the front door. I ordered a keyblank like the one I prefer. We tried a (different) locksmith in Everett. He cut the key, it didn't work, he declared the blank "junk" and said "throw it away. He cut me an aluminum key; half of the teeth were missing. We also had a lot of communication problems. We tried another Everett locksmith who claimed they had a blank like I wanted in stock. They didn't. I was frustrated. Today we tried Everett Lock and Safe. They: recut and filed the two almost-working keys to work in the front door AND cut me two working keys with the blanks I like. Extra points for no communication issues. If we need a locksmith or to have another key cut, this is where we will go! 10 stars!

She gunned her car backwards up my driveway-- with the hatchdoor open. Yep. The open hatch caught on my open garage door and ripped it off the track. (Her car didn't fare much better.) Enter George from Sevan Locks & Doors. George answers his phone! We made an appt to have the door fixed the next day. Boris came out and fixed it! Reasonable fee and excellent work. Thank you George & Boris. I found Sevan locks & doors on the BBB website. They were the only company in this area to have an A+ rating with no complaints. They are also a member of BBB which was even more reassuring. I wish there was a BBB for FreeCycle customers...

I requested service to unlock a deadbolt in the home which became accidentally locked from the…read moreinside. The deadbolt is an older model and had several coats of paint on it from previous owners. I was never given an estimate upon arrival of the locksmith - only the final value at the very end which was extremely high. In addition the locksmith seemed unfamiliar with this particular task and was not interested in hearing any additional information I attempted to offer. Once he was able to get the door open he also declined removing the remains of the deadbolt (which ended up getting completely drilled through) although this would have been relatively easy for him. Additionally he had a can of WD40 which was somehow punctured and sprayed everywhere inside of my house until we took the can and put it in a trash bag and ran outside of the house. Overall I would not recommend this service.
